do find it strange what rooney said on sky sports he was looking forward 2 transfer dead line day is there a signing after all he was all smiles it is in utds web page as well does he no some thing we dont i hope so come on fergie suprise us all what do u think ed {Ed007's Note - I think Wayne has been a very naught boy.}

Believable7 Unbelievable4

So true. Its like he knows something is going to happen - and he can't wait to tell someone haha

NICE ONE wazza

Agree0 Disagree0

Can someone post a link? I cant find it. Thanks.

MUFC Till I Die

Agree0 Disagree0

I also cant find it, do you think it has been "removed" of the united webpage?!

JWalk

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be nice but he probably just meant that he'll be glad when its all done with.

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

Glad when it's all done with?! it's not like he hears any of it.. hasn't got much to do with him unless a player is coming in

Agree0 Disagree0

He might know something as when he was going to leave because he felt we wernt going anywhere and maybe fergie promised him a big summer signing?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mr No Name. How many times do we hear players or managers say "I'll be glad when the window is closed to the speculation can stop and we cant get on with the season". Do you not think that is eternally more likely than him playing games with the media? If the players knew anything then SAF would be sure they said absolutely nowt. Its common sense mate.

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would rooney be glad when its all over?!! that theory doesnt make any sense

Tomorrow is the last day of the transfer window, so what you guys think that may happen?

I think that alot will happen tomorrow in Old Trafford, SAF, may have one last piece to complete the puzzle. I'm crossing my fingers and pray to happen something tomorrow, like WS or whatever SAF decide to upgrade our squad.

UTD4LIFE

Believable5 Unbelievable5

I really think we are going to offer one last deal or no deal for WS with nobody else signing... Hopefully we can loan or sell some players out of the club Gibson etc

Agree0 Disagree0

Hee haw will happen, in abundance. Just because you wish for something doesn't mean it will happen.

Pip

Agree0 Disagree0

No one will come in we are closed and have been closed for business since july.

My fiances auntie who works within Spurs admin says things are starting to get busy with regards to a deal. She says rumours within their department seem to point towards a Modric and Berbatov swap deal!! - with remaining cash obviously included.

Also [although you guys may not be interested] Spurs may try to offload Crouch as well.

Very interesting. Could Sir Alex be trying to nab both Modric and Sneijder on deadline day. I'd prefer just one, as Ando and Cleverly have earnt their chance to be starters.

Will let you guys know if I hear anything else.

DD

Believable10 Unbelievable12

Well to be honest if we got modric and sneijder, i wouldn't complain.. midfield equal to barca! But it just wont happen lol

I am getting sick and tired of reading Sneijder rumours on this site. The only good thing about this repetitive subject is that people have at last learn't to spell his name correctly.

Regarding his wife's tweet that she follows him wherever he goes..do you think that applies to when he goes poo poos?

Now on to a real transfer rumour:

Wesley Sneijder will sign for United tomorrow because I said so....get in!

Believable11 Unbelievable9

You would be very surprised about the spelling at times.....

I'm not involved with MUFC but i have media contacts and the rumours doing the rounds at the minute are: Kucszak (sorry for spelling) to CSKA Moscow, Macheda to Newcastle or Sunderland, possibly Everton but wages are a concern for them. Berbatov has been the subject of several bids in the last 12 hours with Spurs the only British club bidding alongside Juve, PSG and Bayern Munich.

Utd may decide to keep him after Wellbeck's injury and possibly do business in January. Sneidjer is a tricky one. SAF values him at £25M max but Inter want £30M + add ons. The wages are not a prob, just a smokescreen by Inter. SAF is prepared to go with the squad he has and review things in January.

Believable6 Unbelievable11

That would be silly because he would be cup tied.

Huge news people, Sneijders wife throws a major hint that Wes will be moving somewhere..
She tweeted just a couple of minutes ago saying "

Its on DailyStar that Wesley Sneijder has agreed personal terms to join united.
Apparently he has agreed terms for 190k per week and Inter are close to signing Zarate from Lazio

www.dailystar.co.uk/football/view/208592/Wesley-Sneijder-could-still-join-Manchester-United-/

Believable7 Unbelievable7

It was also on the daily star website that we had signed nasri and they even photoshopped him into a united jersey, worst newspaper ever for info...

A.S.H.W.I

Agree0 Disagree0

Stories like this have been around all Summer.

This story was out before Sneijder said he was staying at Inter... wake up!

Sneijder is training with Holland squad, according to his twitter. May have some effect on whether its possible to agree a deal with him..

Also in response to his wifes tweet saying she'll follow him wherever he goes, she earlier tweeted she was in amsterdam so maybe its that.

Ed, is it likely he would leave training to agree a deal?

Taff {Ed007's Note - He probably wouldn't have to, his agents could seal the deal and Utd could fly medical staff out there to do a medical.}

Believable10 Unbelievable2

Correct me if Im wrong but that tweet was made 8-9 hours ago and like sneijder said things can change really fast

Agree0 Disagree0

It takes 20 seconds to sign a contract. Medicaid can be done after, remember Ashley cole to Chelsea few years ago, his went through without a medical. WS will sign

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 20:26:29
The word is Mauro Zarate to Inter and Sneijder to United. Nike heavily involved in brokering the deal.

Believable6 Unbelievable10

Why would a multi billion dollar company get involved with paying toward a deal for ws when our owners are f@?*ing billionaires? get real for gods sake....andog

Agree0 Disagree0

Because Nike provide man utd with their kit and Sneijder has a contract with nike so if man utd sign sneijder he can help nike better with their promotions and nike get more money, simply

Agree0 Disagree0

Andog are u stupid or something . Nike who sponsor both players and both teams are bringing them all together. Then Nike who sponsor the players are offering them more money for visual rights as , Nike will make more money for the two players to switch clubs. This has been said before.

JOE

Agree0 Disagree0

Andog, i think its you that needs to get real, it is not unknown for sponsors to be heavily involved with transfer negotiations. Whoever suggested that Nike are involved in any Sneijder deal are probably correct.

Just tweeted by sneijders wife

I follow my husband wherever he goes.. love him till death! Have a great evening you all!

Ed what do u reckon? {Ed007's Note - I wish I was Mr Sneijder?}

Believable11 Unbelievable5

That sounds to me like he's leaving inter, everyone cross your fingers and toes and he could be ours tomorrow.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not sure how much we should read into this tweet, however it adds a bit of spice to tomorrow! Here's hoping ;)

Rudderpost

Agree0 Disagree0

Hehe nice reply ed but I think u know what I was gettin at! And for the ones who click unbelievable look at her twitter page!

Agree0 Disagree0

His wife was obviously replying to a tweet sent to her, asking if Sneijder's move to United is being held back because she doesn't want to move to Manchester. Something along those lines.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

If I was making his payroll my wife better follow also. LOL

Agree0 Disagree0

Possibly syd but it is one of those things that will have us utd fans watching SS news and listening to talksport etc all day tomorrow! I love the transfer deadline day, let's see what happens :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Or perhaps they are playing some sick game leading us on ??....andog

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope this is right, according to the daily star wesley sneijder has agreed personal terms with man utd, if this is true then expect a busy day tommorow {Ed007's Note - The Daily Star??? Does that even have sport pages in it?}

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Didn't Daily Star say we would hijack Nasri also?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's also on Cruch Sports (whoever they are!). I really would like this to happen. In fact, to misquote a certain K Keegan "I would love it, just love it, if we got him". LOL.

If we do make a signing before the transfer window closes, I fear it will be for Jack Rodwell.

Wesley Sneijder to agree terms to sign with Manchester United either this transfer window or the next transfer window

Believable2 Unbelievable14

I highly doubt he'd come next window when he would be unavailable for europe. Is this just a hunch or do you have a source? I for one hope he signs tomorrow.

Situation

Agree0 Disagree0

And if that doesn't happen , then there's always next summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

It will have to be this transfer window or never, there is no way SAF & Gill will sign him next summer, its now or never, the only player i think they will look at next summer will be mario gotze. i would so love to see WS in the red of manchester but now believe this will not happen

UNITEDFORLIFE

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm gonna have to agree with unitedforlife, as much as i think sneijder is perfect for us! I can not see us getting him next window and it definitely won't happen in january..

It is a now or never situation i think, would absolutely love to read that MUFC have signed Sneijder!

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Now or never. If we miss out now then next summer he will be older, endure another injury, or anything at Inter. No risk letting him come here next year if he doesn't come now.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 19:43:30
why do alot of people still think we are going to get WS? SAF and GILL have both said no more signings and WS has said he is staying at Inter! does anybody even know where WS is right now? im sorry folks but i think there will be no more signings this summer its a shame but it is what it is!!

Believable14 Unbelievable9

Fergie has never said "we're not signing anyone else. full stop." only ever things like "we have great confidence in the squad we have at the mo, with young players coming through etc" and Gill was quoted as saying "No i don't THINK we're going to sign anyone else" (and as i've stated before if you knew you weren't going to sign anyone, you'd leave out the 'think' part)

This is football, and anything can happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 19:27:12
I'm not one to say let us get Sneijder over Gotze, Kagawa, or some other young talent but there is def plenty of time. His deal from Real Madrid to Inter took 8 hours. Anything can happen.

Believable6 Unbelievable6

If we got gotze or kagawa, would message would that send to cleverly? we wont get another young midfielder to develop when we have a project in tomas cleverly already! I see Sneijder as a much more likely candidate because he would bring experience which we could do with at the moment, following the recent loss of many experienced players from our squad (o'shea, brown, neville, scholes, VDR although he's a keeper.. haha)

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think Kagawa or Gotze addition will discourage Cleverley at all. If anything, make him compete harder. When we added Jones, Evans was well aware that he had to work harder for top spot. Anything can happen to Cleverley or Anderson. Cleverley is still the future but doesn't addition will make discouraged.

Man Utd to make a last ditch bid to sign mario gotze and shinji kagawa for a 45 mil bid in january or next summer {Ed007's Note - Hardly last ditch when this is only August mate.}

Believable4 Unbelievable13

So united will spend 45 mil on 2 players who will not be available for champions league?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well crazier things have happenend we signed David Bellion didnt we?

Agree0 Disagree0

The ed makes a very good point, what da f**k you on about son?

Also we wouldn't sign both Gotze & Kagawa considering we already have 2 young midfielders in cleverly and ansderson! Personally, i would like to see Shinji Kagawa come in next year as a replacement for Ryan Giggs!

Agree0 Disagree0

We didn't even spend one quarter of 45 mil on David Bellion.

so no point in begging.

Besides this sneijder's renewed interest,SAF is believed to have been looking at 2 other possible signings whom we dnt kno yet...lets wait and see..!

Believable3 Unbelievable8

Heard this on twitter.
but i also heard.
sneijder spooted in airport. and sneijder waving from a paper aeroplane! heading to manchester

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant see it im afraid...though if the 2 transfers thing happens to be true lets keep our fingers crossed for Modric & De Rossi! We could even take on Barca with a line up like that! Come on SAF go mad on the last day ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 17:53:15
i wonder if the last transfer will be Daniele De Rossi could well be signing tomorrow ?
as Fernando Gago Madrid to Roma happening .
shi@@y signing Hargo to go with barry, de jong, yaya, surley no room at the inn for de rossi.

good signing if it happens with pogba coming through in a few years time !

Believable8 Unbelievable6

Roma are trying to tie de rossi down to a new contract right now guys.

Sorry if already posted but just read "BBC Sport's David Ornstein on Twitter": "Reliably informed Tottenham are interested in signing Gary Cahill before window shuts, and that Modric to Chelsea is dead."
Perhaps a little 35 Million bid for Modric could be done by Fergie here. Wishful thinking i know, but you never know.
KevDarko

Believable3 Unbelievable13

Dan Levene says that Chelsea will make another bid plus Yossi

Agree0 Disagree0

Modric will go to chelsea.
They are lining up higuain with the funds. Also scot parker will fill in until jan, where they will look again to replace parker with youth.

Agree0 Disagree0

We're more likely to get sneijder than modric if we get anyone, the way it's looking at the moment!

Agree0 Disagree0

30 Aug 2011 17:09:46
Sneijders wages have never been an issue in any proposed transfer he is desperate to play for Utd and will happily take a pay cut, the deal was always going to go to deadline day, Theres a good chance it will happen but as yet its not definate, I hope it does but if not we still have a more than capable squad.

Believable13 Unbelievable10

Concerns about the depth of the squad. We have seen 9 first team squad members leave with possibly more still to go and as of today only 3 new signings and a few loanees returnings. Be interesting to see what happens in the next 24 hours

Agree0 Disagree0

Sneijders wages were always the issue ,he wanted more than 40 million over the term of his contract. Please don't ask again how i know.

Agree0 Disagree0

If it wasn't his wage (which i don't think it was either because it's obvious he wants to play in england and he's the kinda guy to go to a club for trophies and success rather than money, so united is perfect for him) what is the reason it's taken so long, inter not wanting to sell?

Agree0 Disagree0

His wages were NOT the issue its takin so long coz inter don't want to sell and in Europe ( except England) handing in a transfer request is not the done thing

Quick question, When we signed Berbatov on the last day of the window, Had SAF and Gill said there would be no more signings before we signed him?

A.S.H.W.I

Believable13 Unbelievable9

Not 100% sure, but I do believe so.

Rudderpost

Believable10 Unbelievable9

I believe it is over, I think SAF will play wait and see how his team will do until January when it is serious in CL he will make a decision for a move. We all agree that we are happy with current midfield for PL.

According to The Sun, Hargo has actually signed for Sh*tty now - if this is true (and with the Sun you never really know) he loses a lot of respect from me after the way he was supported by all at OT throughout his injuries.

Mike B.

Believable23 Unbelievable6

Fergi let him go, he had to get a job some where.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed!
If united let me go id be upset so id go to the best paying team.
which is always City.
Otherwise he'd end up working behind a bar somewhere.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why the hell would Hargo go there? By all accounts it sounds like it is likely to go through prior to deadline day. But does he really expect to get a game ahead of Barry, Toure and De Jong?

Is he goes there he is mad!

MDJ

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair play to him, united let him go, no other top clubs seemed that interested so he's in his rights to go to them

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would you lose respect for him????

he wasnt exactly a united legend or anything now was he? great talent that was just unlucky with injuries....you cant really blame him for being injured, i have complete sympathy if anything for him!

The guy showed his loyalty to us by offering to play for free, nuff said!

If Fergie didnt want to take him up on that offer then obviously there must be a reason behind it...

Personally i would like to wish owen all the best and hope he is capable of playing football again at any level....

You have to question though where the hell he would feature in the city line up...

the number of midfielders they have is sick:_

a johnson
g barry
y toure
n de jong
d silva
s nasri

i can really see a lot of unrest in the dressing room within 6 months, no way he could keep that many players happy not being 'first starters..."

unless manchini adopts a wild rotation policy!

Robbo

Agree0 Disagree0

City could field a second team of transfers united missed out on!

Agree0 Disagree0

Your right you did support him. But he like everyone else needs to work as & when they can. After you lot Citeh seem a fair option for him.

Good Afternoon users of Football transfer rumours. I feel obliged to comment on this page as I can clear up certain specualtion and, conversely, mis-speculation regarding transfer window 2011.
Sneijder will sign for 34m by the end of wesdnesday. Also, United will lure left back Marcelo away from the Bernabeu for 18m, as Evra looked apathetic in the most recent game.
Good times to be a Red!

Believable8 Unbelievable30

Great news thanks for clearing that up for us.

Marcelo is a good player...but a horrible person! Always going in 2 footed trying to injure people! - Not sure I believe your RUMOUR

Arsenal have had a 40 mil euro bid for Goetze turned out according to rafa hongistein the main man in germany........

Honigstein believes Dortmund saying 40m euros is Dortmund's way of starting an auction for the player at that price. But Arsenal offered 25m euros for Gotze. Duncan Castles is a very very good Arsenal source. And come on it's Arsenal, no way would they go in with a 40m euro first bid.

According to reports, former Manchester United midfielder Owen Hargreaves is in line for a shock move to local rivals Manchester City after undergoing a medical at Bridgewater hospital. Wow, they wont stop at anything city will they. I feel we should have offered him a pay per games deal.
KevDarko - {Ed007's Note - He said he offered to play for nothing for Utd.}

Believable17 Unbelievable3

Yea crazy to turn that down!
must have someone elselined up :D

Agree0 Disagree0

That's one way to not get abuse by United fans I suppose, telling the papers two days before your City medical that you offered to play for United for free. Somehow I cannot believe that.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is the Bridgewater Hospital not used by both Manchester clubs? Possibility that Ferguson has taken the opportunity to have Hargreaves prove his fitness ahead of re-signing him.

Incidentally, the brief appearance Hargreaves made last season before pulling up with injury again, ensured that we were able to claim a lot of money back on insurance. Would make sense to re-sign if he is able to prove his fitness

Agree0 Disagree0

I think weve missed a trick here surely we should have kept hold of him on a pay as you play deal.He coluld come back to haunt us with citeh !!

We may not be signing but are there any signs of players leaving Gibson, Macheada, Diouf, Kuszczak??

Believable10 Unbelievable4

I still cannot believe with the massive clear out including the names above we have not yet signed sneijder or anyone who demands high wages. id say we have nearly halved our wage bill!

Plus sales plus winnings from champ league and league and cup games plus sponsers plus new sponser plus Ronaldo sale.
We have spent 50 million on relatively cheaper wage demanding players.
So where is the money? we can easily afford another big wage bill player.
Id say we are paving way for one.
Fingers crossed today or tomorrow we have the man 90% of us want.

Right im off to refresh the page see if anything else is going on... lol.

Simon

Agree0 Disagree0

Simon

Agree0 Disagree0

We can afford a high wage player mate, and the plan was to bring one in (Sneijder), but you cannot get held to ransom, still there's time for someone to come in.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

We should send Mac and Diouf to Everton together....

They only have beckford and Saha (lucky to play 50%) so they may get a lot of playing time together..... if any good could get them both back next term and let owen and Berb go....

Agree0 Disagree0

Alright lad. just popped on to see if rumours about macheada maybe coming to newcastle on loan are true, does anyone know? also great result the other night against arsenal, love it. which to me says you dont really require a big waged player, yr doing class as it is. cheers.

The Sun claims Sneijder is staying at Inter...but from the quotes seen in the above link, he has not told definitely.
He says : "Anything is possible in football "
And the coach mentioning his name yesterday puts people in more doubt.

Talk Sport reporting Owen Hargreaves to sign for City. Nice bit of mischief making by Mr Mancini. Can't see why and where they would play him but guess it would suit Hargreaves down to the ground to become a permanent bench warmer and get paid mega bucks for doing so.

I hearing Sneijder is in talks with Nike now and United officials.
Deal to be announced shortly.
His twitter account shows this to be sure to some extent.
Training with Holland and meet and great from sponsers!
how excited can you get from sponsers.........

Mr m.r Hopeful

Believable14 Unbelievable7

Haha "how excied can you get from sponsers" - made me laugh, maybe they have a bag of sweets for when he sees them

Agree0 Disagree0

Where exactly are you hearing these talks mate? Are you just presuming? As i saw his twitter update but that could mean anything.

Agree0 Disagree0

It was just pure speculation, but it gets the mood flowing.
We cant go to final "countdown" without something to get excited about.

Simon.

Agree0 Disagree0

Will the deal all be done by this evening then awaitin medical

Agree0 Disagree0

Who knows!
but the reason for the late sign is again down to the meet up from international just like last time.
Its been organised this way to suit nike who have allowed him to match his wages in Italy, image rights will bump his package.
United expected to pay 190k per week including bonuses.
The fee is rumoured to be 36million. With initial payment at around 20million.

a lot about sneijder on here this morning.
i think theres more to it than we think, SAF and David Gill have said no more signings, yet they said the priority was replacing Scholes? Sneijder and Inter have also said he won't be moving. We all know SAF likes to work under wraps, if this is the case, denial from both sides is what i would expect if they are trying to finalise the deal. I would be happy to see a centre mid come in, whoever SAF chooses. That of course is IF they bring one in. Just my opinion on the matter.

Sky did report sneijder staying at inter and they are always spot on but why did they no mention tat in the same conversation he said anything can happen IMO I think the deal is on he has been advised to say wat he has said in order to stop other clubs makin bids which will pump the price up an could end up ruining a his chance of a move to us he does not want all this messin around. Get out the red carpet he will be wit us shortly {Ed007's Note - I wouldn't say Sky are always spot on mate.}

Hi Guys - just a quick word on the transfer window. After a dismal window for us reds, SAF is looking to buy 2 more players to clinch the title from the grasps of City.
1) A Centre Mid. This will NOT be Sneijder - he has said he will not join us. Chelsea will sign him instead of Modric. SAF will bid for Kaka - as the Real Madrid star is unsettled in Madrid.
2) A winger. Although Young looks good on the left, the right wing is proving to be a real headache for SAF. After Nanis indifferent performances this season, Ferguson will make a deadline day bid for Frank Ribery, in the region of 35m.
So Ribery - 35m
Kaka - 18m rising to 22m with add ons
This will all be completed by Wednesday night. Mark my words. REDS FOREVER

Believable13 Unbelievable13

We have valencia for the right wing, shut your jibba jabba FOOL

Agree0 Disagree0

To clinch the title from Citys grasp - my god your dramatic!

That did make me laugh a bit so keep it up!

Agree0 Disagree0

Why sign another right winger? valencia will ba back soon. Ribery is not the player he was either!

Agree0 Disagree0

I have never heard such a crock of sh1t.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Awful rumour.
At least have something to back it up.

Mind you if you put kaka and Ribery together and divide there letters number down in the ABC and multiply by 12 + 4 it spells Man united with each number according to letter.

Simon.

Agree0 Disagree0

Good news - I'm going to be so pleased when this finally happens. Do you know what squad numbers Kaka and Ribery will get? Much obliged

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you insane, its 3 games into the season, Nani will be fine (In all honesty I prefer Antonio though)

Sneijder, that will be all

Agree0 Disagree0

Ummm... nani's indifferent performances?
Valencia still to come back
Not sure Ribery is needed nor on recen performances would i say he would improve the team that much.
Kaka is a good shout but far too quiet in my opinion for anything like that happening.

goetze-B.D have said there is a 35m price tag on him after an arsenal bid however he has said that he wants to spend another 2 years at the club.
snjieder-this twitter thing is fake look at snjiider101010 (his real account) if you dont believe me, i have to say i thought he wasn't coming this window but now its been all brought up again by our first team coach saying that we could still sighn him before tommorow nigh. phew
so basics just wait and see i am sure the team we have at the moment is good enough for the league.

Looking through the BBC Sportsday Live and came across this...

Posted at 9:57: Inter Milan midfielder Wesley Sneijder expects to remain at the Serie A club this season following the departure of Samuel Eto'o to Russian side Anzhi Makhachkala. Sneijder told Dutch newspaper AD: "It was either me or Eto'o to leave Inter and since he has now gone there is no need for Inter to sell me."

Believable7 Unbelievable2

No NEED, but if an offer comes in around £35 mil i don't think they'd say no!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah exactly, I personally don't think we need him, but a bit more experience in midfield would be a great help. If rumours are true, he is taking to sponsors today. Maybe Nike? Possible deal? :P

i have it on good authority that a CM will sign for MUFC by the deadline.

my source has said that his name has been mentioned in the transfer window, yet is thought to be the most unlikely signing.

i think it could be Ganso or maybe even De Rossi.

inside information from an administrative position at Carrington.

i do not claim this to be true, this is what i have been told and is what i am reporting as a RUMOUR as this is a rumour site, before anybody starts gobbing off asking how could you know this. I DONT, it is a RUMOUR. {Ed007's Note - So can we confirm that this is a RUMOUR then?}

Believable9 Unbelievable4

That is the only thing i dislike about this site, some people claim to have inside knowledge when they dont. unlike this comment atleast he clarifies its what he's been told and that it may not be true.

but in hindsight i think your right, if we did sign someone, it would be one of the less mentioned targets of ours, perhaps ganso but maybe even goetze (pre-contract?) maybe? i dont know. would love to see a midfielder come in, although i would prefer to see a posession winner in the centre of our midfield

** Mario Goetze **

He will stay at Dortmund until next Summer. There's currently no need to sell him as Dortmund don't need the cash, no real replacement ready and he's contracted until 2014.

He will only leave if Dortmund receive an 'offer they cannot refuse' from a club.

Dortmund are indeed currently speaking to Manchester United, but have politely asked us to 'back-off'. Mario has expressed a desire to join Man Utd 'when' the time is right for all parties, which Dortmund are happy with, as are Manchester United.

This will:
1. Give Dortmund the best chance during the CL (whilst increasing Mario's price tag).
2. Give SAF an opportunity to assess Mario during the CL.

As we've seen before, SAF is quite happy paying a little more for a player that's proven in either the CL or EPL, and getting him at a later date.

Not the news everyone was wanting (i.e. everyone fan wants Goetze now), but its just what I've been told.

PS. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone leave united for Dortmund soon (this window or Jan), to almost 'smooth' and 'upkeep' relations between the two clubs.

WF Red Devil

Believable9 Unbelievable4

Why not pay the 35m euro price they quoted to arsenal then and loan him back for the season..... that way we know he is our player and need not worry about an auction next summer with Barca, Madrid and City if he is exceptional in the CL....

Id prefer Macheda to go on loan to Everton. Moyes is no pushover and with Macheda being very arrogant he needs a strong manager.

It would be a very good loan deal for him as Everton only have Beckford and Saha and Saha is injury prone and Beckford is ok at best.

Quotes regarding Sneijder are coming in thick and fast now..here are a few
"I'll stay at Inter," said Sneijder. "I do not think I will go at this point of the market session.

"Manchester United? Everything is possible in football, but I do not think that this time something will happen."

Sneijder added: "It's true that over the past two years I have changed teams on the last day of the transfers window, but I do not think that will be the case this time."

This is from Moratti:
“Sneijder? Don’t let me talk….” he continued. “As for the defence, things may change.

“Any irrefutable offers for Wesley? Perhaps from Milan,” he joked.
