I think our summer signings will be de gea, goetze, benzema and sneijder because:
-de gea. Ballague is well regarded within spanish football and said we have activated his buy out clause which to me seems we're keen.
-goetze. We are constantly scouting dortmund and this guy has been exceptional. I believe fergie sees him as the one with the most potential out of their young midfield.
-benzema. Fergie is a long time admirer of his and I also believe that berbatov is on his way out so I think benzema will be his replacement.
-sneijder. I just have a sneaky feeling that this transfer will be done on deadline day. Not sure why just a hunch. But someone of his pedigree definitely needs to be brought in.

@ United are planning a move for rafael van der vart in the summer, and recents rumours suggest brown is leaving, and redknapp wants him, this is convincing me well get rafael van der vart for 10m+ give tottenham brown.ruud van nistlerooy also wants to return to the epl, so SAF could get him back again, and a tutor for the likes of bebe, obertan, king etc

Sorry but why would Van Nist be brought in to tutor Bebe and Obertan they don't play the same positions.
Also Van Nist left under a cloud with Sir Alex when has he ever brought someone back after summarily booting them out?

Aside : I can only see a 2 out of 3 joining us out of Adam, Young and Rodwell can't see any marquis signings . . . just my opinion no knowledge

I have it from good source that saf will bring in more than 3 players.this is his last team and that's why he has waited to splash the cash they have been watching things over last few seasons and anyone that knows how he works knows he is planning 2 seasons ahead . keeper is done deal and has been for 6 months with de gea coming, brown will be going in summer as part of deal for cahill as he won't have to move house, sneijder will be the major signing for midfield scholes is retiring rodwell will also be bought with gibson going as part of deal but rodwell will not come till jan as everton want him to ensure a good start to season ash young is also done deal and pogba/ morrison going to villa on loan as saf rates houllier with young players, young is replacement for nani who will be joining barcelona season after next, if saf gets right price for berba he'll be gone and 2 young germans coming in . cleverly and wellbeck will both be given there chance next season.forget about sanchez/ pastore as saf knows there not up to physical side of prem .there is also one major deal been done that only saf and gill know about (glazers as well) this is all going to happen, p.s i don't follow any team just know someone high up wit one of major players inside old tratford

When Fergie said I think two or three will be fulfilled that doesn't rule out more than three it just means he will sign at least three new players in the summer so maybe he might have at least three deals done already De Gea Young and Rodwell and maybe planing to buy more like Sneijder or De Rossi

Anythin new on united ed?

{Ed002's Note - No - don't expect things to change on a day-by-day basis. The clubs are working hard to lay the foundations for the summer window. They will no what the need to do and who their targets are. I really would not expect too much new information for a while.}

Fresh with the money from the sale of Carroll to Liverpool mike Ashley is now keen to invest money for next season. He needs a striker that sends out a statement for geordie supporters. The name he wants is berbatov and is willing to pay £15 to £18m. This has not to my knowledge been printed anywhere so it's interesting. Berbatov to Newcastle

None of Adam, AOC, orYoung will be signed as they are not good enough, Rodwell may be possibly but for £25m is it value for promise merely?Unfortunately none of Pastore, Sneider, Sanchez, Ganso, Goetze, Sahin or such big names will be signed either. Im sticking my neck out and saying it will be surprise names again this summer the likesof Obertan/ Chicarito/ Bebe and not ONE player we are being linked with bar the keeper situation. Im expecting a couple of surprise signings maybe South American: Chile/ Brazil or Argentina. So, yes Im not naming any/ many names, but dismissing most of the ones everybody else is mentioning.

@On what planet are Goetze & Sahin big names? How can you say that AOC will not be good enough? Based on what? Because what I have seen of the 17 year old, he looks a very decent prospect.

1. Adler/ De Gea
2. Two relatively unknown foreign youngsters

{Ed002's Note - Welbeck might be worth around £10M.}

@There is no chance SAF would sell him for that amount. Welbeck has been as good, if not better than Carroll this season. So I think SAF would want at least 50% more than that for him.

Doubt he wants to sell him at all though, he is a Manchester born lad, playing for Manchester United. SAF will want to see how he does at OT before selling him off.

Sydney!

{Ed002's Note - It could be similar to the Sturridge situation at Manchester City - and now possibly at Chelsea.}

@What a difference confidence makes Ed, Sturridge & Welbeck have relished the game time from their loan deals, this is what worries me about Obertan, he has immense potential but he struggles with the pressure at United. I just know we will sell him in the summer and he will go to a smaller club, play amazing, then another top club will snap him up. I really do see that happening. During preseason in the USA he was United's best player. He was phenomenal, he sprains his ankle then comes back a different player.

{Ed001's Note - a lot will depend on how much is raised in sales, difficult to say until that is known to be honest. I am not convinced there will be 60m unless a fair bit is brought in through the sales of players. But Welbeck could see a decent amount of money coming in to be fair.}

@Morning Ed, How much do you believe Welbeck is worth? If Henderson is being valued at 15-20 million, Rodwell 20-25 million, what do you think Welbeck would fetch in your opinion?

I'm gonna throw my oar in regarding SAF's comments about transfers and make my own predictions. However, I'm going to do a personal 'ideal' scenario and 'nightmare' scenario - both of which I'll try to keep as realistic as possible. . .

IDEAL SCENARIO
GK - Rene Adler (£10m - £12m) - I'm not entirely convinced on the De Gea situation. Would SAF be willing to spend £20m plus on a very, very young keeper who cannot communicate with our back four to the fullest?

CM - Yann M'Vila (£15m-18m) - I like the look of and fit of this guy in our line-up; we could even offer Obertan in p/ e but not sure if this would be accepted.

AM - Mario Goetze (£15-20m) - unless Barca come in in which case it wouldn't matter if we had £50m to offer. . .Spanish giants will always beat us to the punch.

NIGHTMARE SCENARIO

GK - same as above.

CM - Jack Rodwell - £20m - it would be gutting if this was our sole outfield signing but I can see it happening; young, English, 'with potential'. In reality, we'd be shoring up our highly underperforming CM with a very young, injury-prone player who hasn't made the position his own even at a team like Everton (not knocking them, but if he was as classy as it is claimed he'd be running the show there).

Here's hoping it's a good summer; I'd have no problem with us not spending 'Citeh amounts' of money but we need, IMO, a GK and at least two outfield players - a defensive/ box to box engine man in the middle, and a creative midfielder/ attacker.

No need to spend big.

Buy:-
Adam - 7-8m plus fringe players
Parker - 8m
De Gea/ Adler/ Neuer - 18m (NEver compromise on the keeper)
Possibly Garay - 8-9m

Outs:-
Owen
Obertan (loan)
VDS, Scholes - Rtd
Kuszczak sold
Macheda (loan)
Brown - 3m
Carrick - if scholes doesn't retire or pogba or tunnicliffe are promoted. Hes a good player, not brilliant, though does the job, and is almost injury free.

According to sky sports, united had scouts at the belgium game at the weekend with their primary target being Alex Witsel. Surprising, given the perceived long held interest in his fellow standard liege midfielder Defour.
