Why would he want to go back to Arsenal. they have gone backwards. It's up to him where he plays, not them

One for the future. but why do you think so. i understand our bid of 1. 2m pounds was rejected. unless an improved bid has gone in?
Agree0

How would you rate him against Rafael? They're both similar ages aren't they?
Just heard it off a couple of people. Both seem fairly reliable so I thought I'd share.
We'll see though won't we.
When was the £1.2m bid put in?

Yeah didn't he have a trial with us recently? If he's a RB then it's a bit pointless as Rafael is going to be out RB for years to come.

Date of bid not stated, but his team hopes he has a good tourney and hopefully that will push his price up. The guy had a trial with us towards the end of season and impressed the coaches. The guy is dreaming United every day according to statements attributed to him in his native South American country. Yeah, I also think eventually we will get the young man.

He had an end of season two week trial and impressed the coaching staff apparently. Since then talks have begun over fee with Perasol (spelling)

Eds, any chance we have been monitering Heung-Min Son of Hamburger SV. He's an incredible tallent that no-one in England seems to be talking about. If Rooney goes I think he'd be a great addition to our team. {Ed002's Note - A number of clubs have been looking at Hamburg's Heung Min Son for the past year. Certainly Spurs, Liverpool, Arsenal, Sunderland, Lille and West Ham have had him watched on more than one occasion leading up to the end of last year and Spurs had a bid turned down in January. Since the New Year some interest has been shown by Dortmund, Manchester United, CSKA Moscow and Chelsea, who would ideally look to a deal that sees a player included as part of an offer. Hamburg would like to keep him but I expect him to move in the summer, but a move to Chelsea or Manchester United could see him sat on the bench and that may not be what he wants. Dortmund or Spurs might be the best compromise for him but a recent enquiry from Dortmund has seen a much higher asking price than expected put on the player - so they are looking to negotiate.}
Believable6

Would imagine Dortmund would be favourties to sign him, after all he's already used to life in Germany, knows the recent success of Dortmund and Klopp they'll also need to bring in someone to fill the void left by Gotze.

He is a fantastic prospect, so talented. I would be over the moon if we signed him. Dortmund may be a better place for him in the short term.

Thanks Ed002 really insightful. No idea how you get all this information but you guys do a brilliant job.
It wouldn't be the worst thing if he went to Dortmund, in honesty it's probably the best place for him. But I hope we can still sign him at some point.

Sources claim that Manchester United are close to signing Kevin Strootman for £17.5m. I do not know how true but this is definitely a step-up. How would u fit him in with the current squad over looking other potential ins

I imagine a line up like this with strootman!
-------------de gea-------------
Rafael--rio/jones--vidic/evans--evra
-------carrick----strootman------
Valencia-----kagawa-----zaha
-----------van persie---------
What you guys think?
Agree0
Disagree0
I would rather not sign him and just get Fabregas to play alongside Carrick behind Kagawa, and then sign a really young player to play back up along with Cleverley and Powell.
Agree0
Disagree0
Terrible line up, Zaha far from the finished article, and Valencia can't beat a man, with 2 deep lying midfielders creativity would be severly lacking.

I expect it will be fellaini, not strootman, that will be wearing the united colours next season.

Is it feasible to sign Fabregas, Thiago and Strootman for about £60m?
This sounds reasonable.
A midfield trio of Thiago-Carrick-Strootman
Fabregas behind RvP & Chicharito
or
Fabregas & Kagawa behind RvP.
Agree0
Disagree1
I really hope we get Fellaini instead of Strootman. He plays well anywhere in midfield and has proved his worth in the EPL. I can't understand everyone wetting their pants over Strootman. It can only be that a lot of reds on here have only seen him on YouTube. He looks goodish in the Dutch league, but excels in little. He isn't a powerful midfield enforcer, nor a highly skilled goal scoring/making AM. he's like Fletch on a good day. Fellaini and Tiargo would do me. 2nd choice would be Wanyama/Bender and Fabrigas

Don't shoot the messenger: whilst we will defo try to bring in quality (the likes of Bale, Fellaini, Fabregas), Moyes also wants some 'steady Eddie' types to bring depth and character to the squad.
As such, Moyes is toying with the idea of bringing Darron Gibson back to Old Trafford; he feels that he has 'unfinished business' with us, and has a fire burning deep inside his gut, waiting to be expunged onto the hallowed Trafford turf.
Moysie is also considering bringing Seamus Coleman across; the word is that he is seen as being of a standard that we can expect from United, for the next few seasons and beyond.

Sources in Spain tell me that United might try and trigger both Thiago's and Fabregas' clauses so the total amount United have to pay would be £45 Million. However we are not sure that the players would be willing to move. Also, I hear that Manchester City might try and hijack United's bid for Thiago and Fabregas.

What a suprise. City are now interested in Fabregas. i'm sure that lot just wait for United to show interest in a player and then decide they want him to. There so predictable is laughable.
I think Pellagrini will bring in Isco, so where Fabregas would fit it is a mystery along with Rodwell, Milner, Toure, Garcia, Silva, Nasri and Barry.

I wasn't disputing the fact that they knew of Fabregas. I think that you may as well give up if you didn't know who Fabregas was. All I am saying is that suddenly Man City's name is linked with him a couple of days after we are linked with him. Just like Samir Nasri, Robin Van Persie etc.
Simmo
Agree0

Doesn't mean to say it's true does it? The stories of Fabregas to United are probably made up let alone journo's saying City are interested too! It makes for good stories City vs United in transfer tussles and they know gullible people (which seems to be most people these days) will buy into it.

Hi folks anyone hear any more regarding Rooney? has there been any offers or is Moyes going to try to talk him into staying. Watched him last night he looked very ordainary and uninterested even though he wasnt playing in a utd jersey.
Believable17
Unbelievable2
He's a disgrace. His attitude is disgusting. He's a great player there's no denying, but he's never going to reach his pinnacle with this petulant, self-important attitude he has.
And if he wants to leave we should let him. Unfortunately the way he has gone about wanting a move is way too public and he's probably just above halved his value. Potential buyers can probably chuck in 25/30 mil and get a deal.
If he u-turned and decided to stay, I think he'd possibly be the most unpopular Manchester United player ever.
If we're one thing, we're loyal, and we on the terraces expect loyalty in return.
One love. One United.

Rooney hasn't been himself for some time now (few years) he's past his peak, has lost bags of pace he used to have (remember them big bursts he used to make).
i think its time he moved on to pastures new unless he can rediscover his form and get as fit as a racing horse

Hi Eds,
Any ideas on who these 2 premier league clubs interested in Hulk are? I would have thought himself and Witsel would be off limits as they joined last season, but seemingly the racism issue is of concern to them?

Think the racism thing has been pretty bad over there, particularly at Zenit.
There was even talk of Boycotts until the team was all white or caucasian players, whether that happened I don't know though.
That was said by the official supporters club as well, so you can see why they'd want out.
