Kevin De Bruyne does look a pretty decent player :
Advantages:
1. Freekick Specialist
2. Can play CM and wings
3. He's an assist machine
4. Belgium have not qualified for the Euros and the Olympics
5. Reasonable wages
Disadvantages:
1. Could he block the progress of Morrison ?
2. Could he adjust to the league ?
3. Chelsea/Inter also interested, transfer fee could shoot up

Gotta say MUMBAI_BOY that this kid looks the business... If the rumours about Carrick to Villa are true then this all fits.
Would it block others progress, I don't think so because I can see a lot of changes in the next couple of seasons in CM. Carrick, Giggs, Anderson, Gibson, possibly Fletcher could be moved on which would accomodate this Kevin dude.... HERBIE

Okay so we get rid of one of the fastest and most powerful winger in the world? who has just discovered his skill for standing in as a full back when needed. Look at this, on skysports wasn't published that long ago!
- Ferguson has been pleased with Valencia's displays at right-back, although he also believes he can operate in central midfield as well.
"There's a natural instinct in him to help out and defend," the Reds boss told Inside United.
"Of course, we know all about Antonio's qualities as an attacker, but he's so quick and so powerful that he's also suited to a full-back role.
"He's incredibly difficult to beat if you're trying to get around him.
"We also see him as an option in the centre of midfield. He's very disciplined and able to carry out any instruction we give him." -
Doesn't sound like fergie wants to let him go ;)

@Ed002, Mumbai boy must be expecting some winks from you as proof!
REDFAITH {Ed002's Note - I have been trying to see if I can get any confirmation of interest from France or Belgium and have left a couple of messages. The player has his heart set on Chelsea but Chelsea do not see him as ready for the EPL just yet, but he does not want to be loaned out. The original solution was to loan him to Gent for this season but an August injury and his price leaping up scuppered any potential deal in teh summer. His family were introduced to several senior staff members during the recent game between the sides. Subject to progress on another possible transfer (that I cannot mention), he could move in January, so now would be the time to act.}

Sir Alex Ferguson is considering making a move for Chelsea target Kevin De Bruyne after glowing reports from his scouts sent to run the rule over the Racing Genk youngster.
Andre Villas-Boas has been heavily linked with a possible move for the Belgian international who came up against the Blues in Champions League action earlier this month. The 20 year old is considered one of the hottest prospects in Europe and now Man United have entered the race to sign the attacking midfielder.
Last term was something of a breakthrough for the quick thinking youngster as he laid on 16 assists to help his side to their first domestic title success in almost a decade and has followed up that success with an excellent start to the current campaign during which he has begun to become more effective in front of goal, netting an impressive hat-trick at Club Brugge this weekend.

20yr old attacking mid/winger.
Last season 27 appearances, 5 goals, 16 assists, not to shabby for a 20 yr old, valued at around 10 million Euro's....

Manchester United boss has earmarked a possible January move for Borussia Dortmund’s highly rated centre back Neven Subotic as he looks to further strengthen his defence after a series of shaky performances this season.
Ferguson has scouted the young Serbian international in the past and reportedly now feels it necessary to step his interest in the 22 year old dubbed the ‘Next Nemanja Vidic’. The Old Trafford boss has seen his side concede at an alarming rate and the 6-1 drubbing at the hands of arch rivals Man City has made him all the more determined to land the towering centre back.
It would take a hefty bid to land the £20m rated Borussia Dortmund defender as he is tied to a long term contract but Sir Alex Ferguson has been told by his chief executive David Gill that funds are available if he feels the need to spend when the transfer window re-opens.
If a move in January is not forthcoming Ferguson will reportedly continue his pursuit next summer knowing that a number of Europe’s elite are also keen on the powerfully built consistent performer.

I cut some paragraphs out it was too long. If we are interested I think we can say goodbye to Ferdinand....
