Athletic Bilbao are sat in 16th in the La Liga, what are the chances of Muniain moving to United ed? Surely he'd be more open to a move, moreso than last season.

A.R {Ed004's Note - He has been touted around Europe by Bilbao before. If Utd were interested I think he would be very obtainable}

Believable11 Unbelievable3

I would like Muniain but I cant help but think we are going for the diamond more and more and I would like the money spent on a midfielder like Vidal, Khedira or maybe if we do keep using wingers then James Rodriguez would be my first choice.

Agree0 Disagree0

Bilbao are stupid,
idk why they dont play llorente
simply stupid.

Agree1 Disagree0

Muniain- in
nani- out
would be happy with that.

Right time for some controversy.... IF we were to sell Rooney for £60 million and we had the money put straight back into the team guaranteed every penny..... What would you do with it and before you slate the post I am just mentioning it I wouldnt want it to happen but if selling him meant midfielders coming in I believe we have enough up front in RVP, Welbeck, Hernandez, Henriquez and then people like Kagawa playing off them. I would play this team.

______________DDG
Rafael____Small_____Papa____Baines
______________Vidal______________
______Cleverley_____Sheeraway____
_____________Kagawa____________
_________Chico____RVP___________

I would sell Vidic, Nani, Ferdinand, Evra, Anderson, and some youngsters.

Believable1 Unbelievable62

For gods sake we will not sell Rooney! Cant believe people want to, he has only had a few games this season and usually takes at least 10 games to be firing on all cylinders. Without him and Valencia last season we wouldn't have even got a European spot. Vidal isn't coming end of, it's El Shaarway and he would be ineffective in a midfield diamond instead of on the left in a 4-2-3-1 and Viktor Fischer is cheaper plus will be better. Baines is very very unlikely even if we were interested and we have Fabio and Buttner already. The only way I would sell Vidic is if we got Hummels in to replace him because otherwise no matter what we do our defense will be worse off.
For me we should get Wanyama with Anderson and Nani going out in January, that would add something to our team.

Dan

Thought i was playing fifa for a minute when i was looking at that line up.

Rooney brings so much commercialy that he is much more valuable to us than 60m and would be to any other club particularly if they are English.

Agree3 Disagree0

No to rooney, but agree with others plus some. too much dead weight in the squad these days.

Agree0 Disagree0

Firstly no one will pay sixty million for Rooney. And if we were to get someone stupid enough to pay that, how is popu and sheraawy money well spend. For 60 million you buy Goetze, Vidal, Varrane/Hummels and yes we would be a better team and Cleverly not good enough as a long term midfield solution.

Then ship Nani/Anderson/Evra/ 4 or 5 out of the academy and giggs/scholes/ferdinand off the books and wages.

Then we buy a proper left back and Munian and this team would beat our current team 10 out of 10 times.

He is not god at people make him out here.

All these Young guys sheraawy/sterling all all hyped up because they play for very average teams. If anybody watched the Liv/Everton game Baines gave young sterling a wake up call going both ways.

Shahram

Agree0 Disagree1

Why sell anderson?
He has impressed everytime he has played this season unlike Nani.
He's very strong in midfield and the only player in our midfield that runs with ball.

Agree1 Disagree0

Rooneys worth is way more than 60 m he is the best english player by a mile and no player in the world that is available could come close to filling his boots he is our main commercial poster boy and is not going anywere we dont need to sell to improve this team we need key players back from injury fletcher smalling fully fit vidic kagawa and jones back from there current injurys and maybe add a powerhouse midfielder in jan strootman or big vic from celtic if we must sell to get one of these guys in then nani is after to much money here let him go to anhzi or zenit they got bags of money but please dont even consider selling our best player it is just madness unless were getting messi or ronaldo on a long contract and that aint happening either lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Sterling was brilliant against everton and is a really top player

Guys did any of you watch the arsenal-reading game? Might be one of most entertaining 120 minutes in the history of sports.

Will be a totally different team on Saturday, hopefully we can get a win again though!

As only Koscielny and possibly Walcott will start on Saturday, I doubt that somehow.

Ed what do you think the likelihood that one of Fabregas, Busquets or Alcantara will move in the summer?

Cheers
Dan

Believable3 Unbelievable7

Alacantara's talent is being wasted at barcelona, he should really move on.

If guardiola becomes our next manager do you reckon he will give the likes of Lingard Petrucci daehli and januajz and other youngsters more of a chance?

Caolán.

Believable19 Unbelievable8

Not sure about Petrucci but i think he´d love to work with young players like Lingard, Daehli and Januzaj.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well he couldn't give them less of a chance!

Cooper

Agree3 Disagree0

Also do you think he will bring some of the younger barc players over to?

Agree1 Disagree1

Daehli and Januzaj in particular are still very young and not yet physically mature - it might do them more harm than good if we promote them before they are physically ready.

That said, they both look brilliant young players. I'm sure their time will come simply because of their talent, but we should be wary of burning them out or pushing them too quickly before they've completed their physical development and growing.

Lingard is already on the fringes - he's another who has taken time to mature even thouigh he clearly has the skill and the attitude to make it. He has shot up in the last few months and will get his chance soon I'm sure.

Petrucci has suffered bad luck with injury (and to emphasise what I've said about being patient with the others much of this was to do with 'growing pains' being exacerbated by the demadns of training/playing). He even missed the last couple of Reserve fixtures so he may well have a slight injury as we speak. I like him as a player but he has been unfortunate to miss so much development time because of these injuiries. Here's hoping he gets a clear run at it soon.

As for Guardiola, he does seem to like using home products. But I believe SAF will give these lads a chance at the right time - i.e. when they are ready for it.

1. Who is the most likely reserves player to be in 1st team in 1yr. (1 player)

2. Who is the most likely academy player to be in the 1st team in 2-3 yrs. (1 player)

Believable3 Unbelievable0

1) hopefully tunnicliffe or Petrucci
2) daehli or januajz

Caolán.

Agree1 Disagree0

Hmmmm it is tough to forecast someone's potential as some fulfill some fail and some come out of nowhere but.... Januzaj and Daehli both look class I just hope we can keep them long enough for us to reap the benefits.

Agree0 Disagree0

Scott Wootton will be fits team player

Agree0 Disagree0

1.) Lingard

2.) There are quite a lot talents that could make it. It´s really hard to judge them now. Petrucci was the bee's knees when he joined our academy but lots of bad luck with injury cost him so much time.

If most of them have luck with injuries i think Daehli, Januzaj, Rothwell, Pearson and Wilson have the best chance to make it at United. (Maybe Ioannou too)

Agree0 Disagree0

1) Powell / Henriquez

2) Januzaj / Daehli

I have seen us linked to max clayton looks a good young player. Eds do you know of any interest {Ed001's Note - yes. There is a longstanding interest there.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

The Crewe youngster?? I suspected that we went in for both Clayton and Powell but maybe on second thoughts agreed that he stayed for another year.... I hope he arrives in the summer.

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed how likely is it that we could follow up our intrest as he looks really promising!

Caolán. {Ed002's Note - I am told that there is a good chance that it will be followed up.}

Agree1 Disagree1

Thanks ed

Caolán.

Agree0 Disagree0

We have James Wilson though. What would be the point when we have Wilson, Henriquez and Keane all around that age and all having to compete with Welbeck, Rooney, RVP and Chicha?

Dan

Agree0 Disagree0

Dan in the summer I thought we didn't really need rvp we have good strikers but if he went to city or Chelsea were would we be, if this kid turns out amazing I'd rather have him than play against him.

Caolán.
