Just Heard from close source that Sneider deal has been confirmed nd will go public in this week. The deal was 30 mil cash and Varane and Hazard should be arriving in the next week. for joint sum of 40 mil and suprise signing of Ibra !. . Great News

Here's the low down as I know it guys:
If things all go to plan, then the first two signings that will be announced is De Gea and Sanchez. However if a deal cannot be reached with Sanchez, then expect young to come in as plan B. Benzema deal appears to be back on, fergie will have a damn good crack at this one! Aguero is still being mentioned, but have no further info on this I'm afraid so could just be pure speculation with now grounds, but my previous three all have very strong grounds!

Could we see some more interesting developments in the next couple of weeks in your humble opinion?

This only really makes sense if the player has aked for a move. But I suspect that developments will be pretty quick. There will likely be interest from Italy.}

@I understand Juventus' are interested in him, but they are interested in everybody right now aren't they? There president also said he has put back £12m for Modric, is that the stupidest thing you have ever heard Ed?

Do you think he would favour a move to Italy over a move to replace a legend like Scholes?

The Spurs schemer is wanted by both Premier League giants, and United in particular are in need of a new midfield maestro now that Paul Scholes has announced his retirement.

The north Londoners have always insisted they would not entertain bids for stars such as Modric, Gareth Bale, or Rafael Van Der Vaart.

But the Croatian's latest statement will come as a big concern to White Hart Lane chiefs.

Speaking while on international duty, Modric said: 'I will tell you the same as always - my club status is the same as it was before.

'But, of course, if there will be an offer which will be good for Tottenham and for me also, then a transfer is possible.

'That doesn't mean that I'm bothered with leaving Tottenham - I'm not thinking about that every hour and every minute. I'm happy at White Hart Lane - my status is great, the fans like me and I do have everything I need.

'But then again - when you experience playing in Champions League, you want to keep playing in this tournament.'

Manchester United will lose out to Real Madrid in the race to sign Benfica's left-sided star Fabio Coentrao. (The Sun)( And tons of other sources)

His dream is to "play for Real Madrid"

This fella has his mind made up. . which is a shame as LB is an issue Man United will have to address soon.

But,

this deal, which will be worth in the reigon of 30- 35 million will be part funded by Lassana Diarra leaving the club and Diarra's agent has said that they have recieved an offer from Manchester United. And the deal would be in the region of 20m if he decides to. Man United will also face interest from spurs and Juve.

I don't get why we never go for a TRUE playmaker type of player in the mid + a Def Mid. I mean Carrick and Fletch are good players, but when it comes to BIG BIG GAMES we need more skilful, stronger, quick players. as long as we keep playing on wings we would never be able to control the ball and win against teams like Barca. we need BETTER MIDS :) UNITED FOR LIFE !

Just had a phone call from fergie telling me that he wanted me to be the first to know that the move of jack wilshere to manchester united for around 45mil will be completed before the weekend.

He also told me that berbatov would not be leaving this window as he is concerned about the lack of an established 3rd striker.

Furthermore, we will definately be getting modric in before the end of the window if the sneider deal doesn't come to pass.

Also, in other news, De Gea does not appear to be with the Spanish U21 squad as he did not play in their 2-0 loss recently.

- Man United are looking to wrap up deals for Diarra, Varane and Sneijder within the next few weeks. As well as signing another Striker and Winger before the US tour begins.

- Sneijder is now odds on to sign with Paul Scholes retiring, and Diarra is seen as his ideal midfield partner, because he is defensively orientated and has both CL and PL experience.

- Varane to be signed for 4.5m. Evans will be sold after a poor season.

- The stiker United are after is Benzema, Real are determined to take Vidic or Hernandez, essentially ending talks. Sir Alex won't part with either. Falcao is the player the club are now looking at. No names attached to the new winger, so I think this one is being kept quiet.

- Berbatov is set to leave United, an 16m Euro offer has been made from a Turkish club, United will hold out for more though. Owen will also leave with Welbeck and Diouf Returning.

- Cleverly, Pogba and Petrucci to be given first team opportunities, Obertan will be loaned to Lens, Macheda heading to new boys Swansea on 1yr loan.

Latest Manchester United news

David De Gea, despite rumours that Atletico Madrid want him to stay, will be signing for United for £17.4 million. The problem at the moment is that his agent Jorge Mendes, wants a larger share of any transfer fee and it needs sorting out.

United will also look to sign Alexis Sanchez from udinese for between £22-£28 million. Sir Alex Ferguson has been watching him for over 3 years and has decided this summer is right to make a move. Udinese are holding out for £32 million + but only because Manchester City are interested. Sanchez's preferred move is to United and Udinese will accept an offer from us in that region.

Ashley Young will NOT be coming to Old Trafford if United sign Sanchez. He is second choice and is more likely to go to Liverpool.

Luka Modric has emerged a one of Sir Ales Ferguson's no1 midfield targets. Spurs are willing to sell for £25 million, but United could do a deal with spurs offering £18.5 million and Dimitar Berbatov in exchange. Deal is 85% likely at this moment in time.

Sir Alex also holds a massive interest in Wesley Sneijder and is seriously considering an offer of around £30 million. Inter are willing to sell if the price is right and contray to reports that Sneijder is happy in Milan, he would be willing to join United if a deal could be agreed.

Young french defender Raphael Varane will be signing for a round £2-3 million from Lens.

Finally, United will make a move for a top class striker if Berbatov is sold. Michael Owen will also leave as his contract will not be renewed. The man Sir Alex's wants. . Karim Benzema. The deal is less than 50% at this stage and is very unlikely to happen, but with Real Madrid looking for new strikers, Benzema's future at Madrid is uncertain and Sir Alex has always held him in high regard.

People on here saying we don't need to replace Hargreaves because he hasn't played, well we do, carrick and Anderson are asked to play that role and get slated every week because they can't do it, they are both attacking midfielders who want to pass and get forward their best games have come with Hargreaves next to them, so yes we do need a hargo type player so the forward thinking player we get on and already have can get on with doing their job.

The greatest English player of his generation has just retired. Such a brilliant servant to the club and a fantastic role model for any youngsters coming through. I'm glad he's taking on the coaching role. He'll be part of United's future, bringing through the next batch of kids.
