So went searching the web as you do on a quiet sunday night and looks like the journalists are now scratching round. No sooner are we out of the running for Gundagon (although we were soon to announce his arrival) than we are apparently very close to Schneiderlin (which we all seem to be moving towards as a good move) and merely a £28m offer away from securing Vidal after discussions with his agent.
Now none of this will be true i am sure. but that is your sunday round up!! Oh and Higuain may be on his way with RVP going out. But don't bank on it!

It is all very contradictory isn't it. But Schneiderlin and Vidal would be the ultimate window for us. Finally would have someone that had Snidjer in the name haha.

I agree Fresh.I am warming to Schneiderlin and even more so his attitude this season after not getting his move last year. SHows a good character. As for Vidal.Love him and would add so much dynamism to the middle of the park.

Scheniderlin is also young enough to learn from Carrick, having the two cover that position is great strength in depth, not forgetting about Blind either.
I don't think we will get Vidal, a striker instead, but it would be nice.

It won't happen but just think about a scenario where we get Vidal, Scheniderlin and Niangolan. Half the fans will go mad and the other half will have a heart attack.

Ian Ladyman said we were interested which to me says we were at some point recently. Perhaps he turned us down and the club are just saving face by not going back in. Der Westen have consistently said he was coming to us and haven't changed their mind.

Southampton are looking at idrissa gueye as a replacement for schneiderlin? Wouldn't we look at both too as gueye would be the cheaper option?

As much as I like Clasie, physically, in the prem, he'd have to beef himself up somewhat? Otherwise he'd be thrown off the ball in most challenges? Personally I'd like a 4-2-3-1 formation? With Schneiderlin and Kondogbia in front of the back 4? Both switching when going forward leaving one back for cover?

Schneiderlin would be a great signing, he's had a terrific season and is a reasonable price. let's hope some announcements come through soon so we can enjoy the summer without the usual media crap to sell papers
