Ngiak heard that we seem to be scrambling to actually avoid losing ganso. .
was Anderson around this week im England? an amusing story ngiak just heard was about Anderson helping a contingent if man united negotiators to persuade him to come in and not sign another contract
and it's above and beyond the report in the papers. .
hope it's true

I would agree with you but can you really see the Glazers stumping up the multi millions it will take to get him (providing he has recovered from his knee injury ok)
There would likely be an auction and the Glazers are not noted for spending money are they?

My prediction for the summer transfers.

World Class Goal Keeper: Neuer, Adler, Stekelenburg. All around £12m.
Top Class Central Mid: Sahin, Martinez, Defour. All around £17m.

Total of £29m, top class young players who all have world class potential, and they cover the positions where we are weaker.

Gilly.

@I posted once before so i will post it again rooney is goin to chelsea for 65 million the deal is done
- I strongly doubt we'll sell arguably our most influential player to our biggest title rivals of the past 6 years. You're welcome to your opinion but don't claim to know for sure when its clearly rubbish.

The moon."""
dear sir
the reason why he had to post it again was that the first time around it was so silly that he did not get a response.
looks like he succeeded now

Any more news about Ganso?

Ngiak, you were talking about Sahin and Goetze as well. Are we interested and is the 20 mil. player (midfielder) definitely coming?"""
dear unnamed sir
to be honest the papers seem to collaborate ngiak's friends' theories.
first a bid of 25 plus million was made to udinese for sanchez, and carrick signed a new contract.
but one of the eds here said that the bid was made by chelsea?
and carrick staying confirms that man united will at best buy only 1 midfielder at best as morrison, pogba, tunnicliffe and cleverley will be/ are all promoted to the first team (maybe even an attacking mid role for welbeck)
at this rate even that one midfielder may not come. .
but yes, at the moment there still seems to be some activity on "4" fronts, 2 youngsters and a 10 plus mil player (prob a gk) and a 20 - 25 mil player (maybe a CM)
names? ngiak can only guess. . oh ya, the ganso camp are also making some noise at this time too. .
then there are the rodwell, defour and henderson camps who are surprisingly quiet, and what about another noisy rumour about de rossiat this moment all the "noises" collaborate with ngiak's friends' talk
who knows. . time will tell

IN:
Adler £8-£16 Million
Henderson £7-£12 Million (plus ads-ons)
Total £15-£28 Million

The valuations are just what i would pay for the players roughly, i have no knowledge and i really couldn't be bothered to research buy-outs, end of contracts, etc.

Also, it is what i feel will happen not what i want, you have to remember that because you want a certain player doesn't mean Sir Alex does, either way Sir Alex sees the players everyday he knows if they're good enough so i trust in him.

The Moon."""
dear mr moon
you may be spot on on a few points.
first we will not spend big on too many players because we are promoting many players who al happen to be midfielders
second, unlike what most think, ngiak thinks the purchase will be a defensive mid rather than a scholes type player to release people like anderson and carrick (maybe the reason why his contract was extended?) to do what they do best, to move forward and create? then we may see the best in them. .
now both are asked to be defensive which is "not their thing"
and hese 2 signings may just fit into what ngiak is hearing as rumours (slight disagreement on henderson's valuation. . may be above 18 million. . plus add ons. . english players are never sold cheap)

Was wondering about these rumours surfacing have chelsea made a new bid for sanchez ?
& is it £25mill or more ?

{Ed002's Note - From what I understand it is a little more.}

"Carrick signs new deal?! That's not a good sign for the summer."

@It means Gibson is certain to be on his way. Remember, whatever we think of Carrick, he still makes a great squad player. I hope he is not in our first team next season but Carrick on the bench is a good bench.

Carrick signs a new deal.
That's us signalling our intentions.
Giving him a new contract after his performance in the last two seasons is as clear a sign as any that we have no money to buy top players
I predict we will sign a goalkeeper and that's it.

To be honest i never rated di maria as highly as others. Good player but not worth the sums banded around or worth the hype. He had one brilliant season and everyone went crazy. I thought he made the wrong move in going to madrid. Onto sanchez. I do rate him but question if we need him. Where would he fit into the team. How would it work having him, nani and valencia. I know some have suggested giving nani a free role and playing one up top with two wingers but i question that with our current centre midfield issues. And for me that's the main problem. I'd rather go spend 25 to 30 million on sorting centre midfield out first rather than buying a winger. I'd say leave sanchez another year but i really feel he'll move this summer which means we most likely will miss out. Although hopefully he'll go to barca and spend a season on the bench, realise his mistake and ask to leave then we get him next summer. Worst case he goes to chelsea or inter. Fair assessment? Scholes shooting boots

I think Vidal for 18m+ is the best option. German league has caught up with EPL in terms of pace so imo he should adapt quite easily into our league. He will fit in well within the team and if joined this summer with Sanchez aswell they would have each other to hopefully negate any adapting problems. Plus if we go for (imo we should) Adler then he could bum up a move to us aswell as no doubt Ballack would be doing any work for Chelsea.

With the Sanchez do we/ don't we need another winger? of course we do! Valencia and Nani aside we have no pacey wingers. Obertan has pace but nothing to go with it, Park for workrate, Cleverly done well at Wigan but is a massive step up to us, Wellbeck has proved at Sland he should be considered a ST not a winger. He would be a waste there just like Rooney is! Morisson will still be 1-2 years away from geting regular 1st team games if going by Fergies rluctance to throw them in the deep end and see if they sink or swim.

Our team operates normally wih 2 wingers. Fergie would in 60-70% of games operate with 2 quick ones then in a more tactical game i.e. Arsenal go with Park or a cm playig out of position. This season with Toni out early and Park Injured and away we have had Rooney, Fletcher, Evra, Giggs, Bebe, Obertan and O'Shea all cover with only Giggsy making any telling contribution.

So imo Adler, Vidal, Sanchez, Wellbeck, Cleverly, and poss Defour = £60m+. With £30m ish from player sales outlay of just over £30m should do it.

"I also can't understand why so many people are batting around the talk of a new striker. why? we have rooney and berba, as well as an in form hernandez, returning diouf, macheda and welbeck, and so many outstanding youth and reserve players waiting for their chance."

To un-named poster, some thoughts on that

Like it or not Berbatov is 30 and does not fit into a 4-5-1 which SAF like to play away from home and even at home against top sides. He doesn't have the pace or strength to play the one in that formation. No matter how much people talk him up he just doesn't have that ability. It is very difficult to justify a £31M striker who can't play in key games. Unlike Rooney he isn't flexible enough to play in other places and that puts him and SAF in a difficult spot.

Lots of Berbatov defenders will say he is worth keeping but will we take what we can get in summer and replace him with a younger pacy striker?

Heard from 100% reliable source and im very upset and sorry to say this but nani and rooney are wanting out and madrid are bidding a huge bid for both.

from very sad fan

This is 100% incorrect. There is absolutely no way we are selling either of them.

This may be true as real madrid are looking to get rid of up to 7 players, rooney and nani could be on Reals radar and plus man u are broke which will make a big offer to good for your owners to refuse

Man united have been given the go ahead to talk to neuer. source? Schalke chief Clemens Tonnies. now he's a keeper we should have been more linked with. he's young, consistently good, and far more experience than the likes of De Gae(even though i do like him too).

I also can't understand why so many people are batting around the talk of a new striker. why? we have rooney and berba, as well as an in form hernandez, returning diouf, macheda and welbeck, and so many outstanding youth and reserve players waiting for their chance.

what we need is a left mid to replace giggs whenever he leaves, and 2 centre mids to replace the useless carrick and irreplacable scholes. i'd love to see modric brought in but hes going to cost a fair bit. rodwell and henderson just arent good enough to replace scholes. we need a world class player

Dont know how reliable this source is but heard that United are making a suprise move for Valencia Striker Roberto Soldado, with either Berbatov or Rooney (unlikely) leaving in the summer.

Personally i think both should stay, seeing as berbatov is hitting some kind of form, and rooney's ability unquestionable at times, despite his lack of goals this season.

Honestly can't see united chancing 25million on a player who may not be able to cope with the physical side of the premier league (which is very likely imo)

if he goes to chelsea let them have him, as to be honest i'd take nani any day and with valencia returning to the fold and with backup such as cleverly, morrison we don't need any more wingers for the time being as this will only restrict morrison and cleverley's development chances to get themselves into the first team fold. . .

i know sanchez could be deployed in a cam role, but why waste money on a player who is not naturally a cam. . .would far rather spend the money of pastore or hamsik for that kind of money if maybe a small bit more that we wud have to pay. . .

if none of the above are signed then llorente could be a surprise addition to united, with rooney dropping back to play as a cam which is where he is most effective imo

Does anyone here see abit of deja vu? I seem to remember we were the first club to be linked with di maria at the quote price was 16m in january 2010. Then as the weeks went on the price benfica wanted kept going up as more and richer clubs got intrested. Is the same thing happening with sanchez? it wasnt that long ago that 10-15m was the price bounding around. Now people on this site are saying up towards 30m? are we gona get priced out of a move for him too? i don't blame united or the media. I blame the selling club thinking that because clubs that have mega rich owners(i.e man city) they can add 20m on to there price tag because they know these clubs have it? anyones opinin on that?
