NPRAK/NTWONK WAS RIGHT. WE PUSHED FOR TWO PLAYERS ON DEADLINE DAY. ITS NOT HIS FAULT THAT BOTH DEALS FELL THROUGH. THE TWO PLAYERS WERE DEFOUR AND BALE.

Manchester United Rumours
As i said the other day, Fergie has regained intreset in Gareth Bale and the past few games has had him scouted, Ed can confirm that i posted that fergie was sending scouts, well Fergie chucked a bid in for Baley on transfer deadline day, however i don't know what happened from there, i can see a bid in either january but more than likely next summer window for the welsh starlet.

This is to all Manchester United supporters.
I can confirm while United/ Sir Alex Ferguson tried to push through a deal for Defour on deadline day, that SAF was had also put in a "big-money" deal for Gareth Bale of Tottenham. Sir Alex sees him as a perfect replacement for Giggs for when he retires most likely after this season. Wales boss John Toshack also revealed this earlier today.

Also, I can confirm that there is serious interest in Jack Rodwell of Everton and that Sir Alex will try to snatch him up if he has a successful season. However, from what I have heard, Sir Alex is more interested in him as a Centreback than a Defensive Midfielder. He may be a replacement for Hargreaves or Ferdinand depending on their respective fitness.

As for goalkeeper, Sir Alex would like to see how long Van der Sar can keep going but he has some replacements in mind from what my sources say such as Manuel Neur, David De Gea, and Igor Akinfeev.

As a replacement for Scholes, from what I have heard, United will be bringing in Defour regardless of replacing Scholes. This is where I cannot give any information because in truth, my sources could not tell me who Sir Alex is watching because frankly I don't think many people know who SAF wants. There is of course talk about Wesley Sneijder who I think is the best bet because he has said Mourinho will replace SAF because he loves the EPL so much, and SAF could get him before Mourinho takes the reign in a few years. Other names I have heard thrown around are Marek Hamsik, Javi Martinez, and Javier Pastore.

This is the information I could get from people I know that have serious connections within the club. However, this is what they have told me but obviously, SAF will do what he wants and he keeps much information to himself and close knit group of coaches.
