Gaitan is already looking a handful, providing good width and making a couple of clever balls. Wouldn't be a bad bet in my eyes.

RedDevil19

Believable7 Unbelievable25

His crossing not been great hes likes a dive
not a patch on eriksen rodriquez

Agree0 Disagree0

If we want an average winger with no pace andy Reid would be a lot cheaper

Agree0 Disagree0

Gaitan isn't no Hazard in terms of future world-class certainty, but you cannot criticise his pace, Gaitan is lighting quick. One of the quickest players in the game.

Interesting article, basically saying that Kagawa is going to reject his contract extension with a substantial pay rise as he has set his sights on a move to the Premier League. Chelsea and Manchester United are the most likely destinations according to bild.de

Are they realiable? I'm not really up to date with the German press but if stereotypes are anything to go by they should be!

Hey eds or any one! Just wondering if you have heard anything re Pogba? its been quiet on that front for a while until i noticed something in The Guardian about him leaving for Juve to be on 830k a year, though i feel this is just the same regurgitated story as most things are nowadays. Cheers.

JWalk {Ed002's Note - The situation remains the same as far as I am aware in that there is interest in him from elsewhere but Manchester United would like to keep him.}

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Cheers ed, i figured things would most likely still be at the same stage. What is your personal opinion, do you think he will stay or move on?

JWalk {Ed002's Note - There is no point in me guessing - but as I have said before he has been heavily influenced by third parties and it is clear he wants first team football. We can only wait.}

I think i read earlier that Dortmund's manager has said that Kagawa won't sign a new contract and wants to play in the Premier League next year - wouldn't be my first choice, or top three for that position - but may be an option...

Hobbes {Ed002's Note - You may have misread something. I provided a response about this earlier.}

Believable6 Unbelievable0

No one said he wouldn't sign, he's just hesitating (who knows why) and a few heads in the media are starting to turn.. that's what they do!

just seen this on sky sports greta news this kid is class hope theres some truth in it
Lucas Moura's agent has reiterated that Manchester United are keen to land the Sao Paulo midfielder

THE DON

Believable20 Unbelievable1

Fergie please sign this guy

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I have done what many people do - click on google and enter his name. Then spent minutes gazing at this fine player. He is two footed, can shoot from distance, can run with the ball like Ronaldo, and a young Giggsy and oh what a talent. Sir Alex, please sign him. {Ed002's Note - Did they make it clear it was the agent who contacted Manchester United rather than Manchester United contacting him. This is just Ribeiro and Pedroso playing up as usual. Don't read anything in to it and I really don't see it happening. They all want him to go to Inter Milan but Inter cannot match the offer Chelsea made in January and certainly cannot enter in to an auction with Chelsea. A third party ownership deal and some complex deal involving several other players seems to be what they are looking to broker right now. It is another Neymar waiting to happen - the difference is right now that Sao Paulo would probably take Chelsea's cash deal over any complex deal put together by Ribeiro. Knowing that he is hawking him around looking for a second cash bidder - and he has approached Bayern Munich as well.}

do any of the ed's know if we have any serious interest in Hector Otin ??

oxred {Ed002's Note - It seems that there will be too much interest until he is older. There was talk not to long ago of him going in to one of the football schools in Spain.}

Believable0 Unbelievable2

Thanks ED002......

oxred {Ed002's Note - Much is expected of him apparently. Personally, he is a little young for me to know much of him. And my Restraining Order says it must stay that way until he is 18.}

i was just looking at ligue 1 table and went to hazard
and i was surprised to see hes 2nd in goal scoring chart with 14 and hes top of assists with 12
also his strike rate is brilliant 14 goals from 84 shots which is better than all the top bpl strikers i think

Believable23 Unbelievable1

The boy is a proper talent. If Im honest I hadnt paid much attention to him until around a year ago, a mistake I fear some other United fans are making when judging him.

Sir Alex Ferguson is looking for another left-back to provide Patrice Evra with competition and the United boss is understood to have enquired about signing Cissokho this summer.
Ferguson wants the France international on an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer, and a move to Old Trafford would delight Cissokho, according to his agent Ali Barat.

initial loan deal, that must be a wind up
jred

Believable15 Unbelievable4

I was thinking there must have been some form of contact over Cissokho's availability for his agent to come out and say that he likes the idea of a move to MUFC. Considering people are starting to realise how Evra is costing us!

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not so sure, I think with United looking at LB's, Cissokho is letting SAF know that he would be willing to come in if United wanted him.

i was talking about the initial loan deal part
jred

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather have Baines

JJR

Agree0 Disagree0

I was replying to Oz with my first post, but I agree completely that a loan deal is strange, we would always want to tie them up permanently. Maybe we tried getting him on loan in January when Evra was at his lowest performance wise? Personally I think he is trying to get our manager's attention as we are looking at possible replacements for Evra. I would be amazed if we haven't looked at him as he is a good player.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah suppose it's likely his agent is sort of putting him in the shop window! Would be interesting to know who SAF's primary target is to replace Evra, i'm sure there is a certain someone..

Apparently reports in "Bild" say that Kagawa is set to refuse a new contract extension as he wants a move to either us or the chavs.
Would be a great signing imo, shirt sales alone would go along way to paying for him.
If he were south America or Spanish people would be mentioning him in the silly money bracket.

Supasub {Ed002's Note - The "shirt sales" concept is a complete red herring Supasub. That money does not go to Manchester United, it goes to Nike, Adidas or whoever the shirt manufacturer is - that is why they pay multi-million pound sponsorship. If the shirt is sold through a club outlet (e.g. the club shops) then the club will get an additional amount (the retailers amount).}

Believable4 Unbelievable3

F**k shirt sales, the kid has talent. He's great in and around the box, quick movement, intelligent passer and and eye for goal, everyone needs to realise his poor form at the start of the season was down to recovering from a metatarsal break, which like we saw with Rooney can take a while to fully recover.

I've watched Kagawa many times for club and country and he always shows true talent! I know these stories are just surfacing because Shinji is taking longer than expected to extend his contract but fingers crossed. Maybe the addition of Marco Reus has given Shinji different ideas about next season?

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant have been that poor 12 goals and 9 assists in 25 bundes games so far

Agree0 Disagree0

Shirt sales money does not go directly to United but if 10 million shirts are sold compared to 1 million, that will obviously have an impact on the amount sponsors pay to have their name on the shirt {Ed001's Note - and the amount the manufacturer will pay to be the maker of the next shirt.}

Agree0 Disagree0

We wouldn't receive any more in shirt sales money, but we would be opening up a Japanese market or expanding it slightly if we signed someone like Kagawa. Merchandise sales could increase and it would likely open up avenues for Japanese sponsors. Park is the main reason we have the Kumho Tyres sponsorship deal. That sponsorship would pay for his salary, albeit not directly of course.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

If Park were to leave soon then i reckon it's more likely that we'd sign Kagawa purely to keep, like you said a 'market' in asia! Especially with Kagawa becoming such a huge player for Japan, who are the best team in asia..

Kagawa looking for a prem move after turning down a new contract worth 2.5mil a year. {Ed002's Note - This is not actually correct. I have just checked and he has not rejected any contract offer, just that he has not responded to it yet. Liverpool have been one of the clubs, along with Udinese, Spurs, Villarreal and Valencia, who have shown an interest in Kagawa this past few months. Although Kagawa has had a generally pretty poor season to start with, he is now back in favour at Dortmund and looking to agree an extension to his contract. I think that he will probably stay on in Germany next season although he says that a move to Manchester United would be impossible to turn down.}

Believable5 Unbelievable1

Ed002's. Are you for real he is having a pretty impressive season 12 league goals in 25 league games?....... {Ed002's Note - What I said was "he had a generally pretty poor season to start with" and then explained that he was back in favour.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Kagawa did lose form early on in the season. I think he is getting back to his best now, pretty much what Ed said wasn't it?

Ed002 - With Higuain looking like joining City in a swap deal involving Aguero, do you think Cavani will still be on Real Madrid's wishlist?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - Actually Syd I said I do not think that any such deal exists for Higuain and Aguero. Real Madrid remain interested in Cavani as do Chelsea.}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Ed002 - I never said you did say it mate, I heard Balague say it and it would make a lot of sense seems Aguero wants Madrid, Madrid want Aguero and Madrid want to offload Higuain, who City have been looking at. I think it's something that could happen in the summer, but direct swaps are pretty rare these days aren't they?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - I appreciate that you did not suggest it Syd, but I dealt with this matter previously, no such deal exists or is proposed. Swaps are pretty rare, but Balague sometimes spurts out such nonsense withouth thinking. What did he have to say about interest in Higuain from Juventus? Malaga? PSG?}

Agree0 Disagree0

I think PSG have a good chance in signing him, they will want him and pay the £35m Real Madrid want to be able to buy Cavani. I think he wouldn't mind joining his friend Pastore at the club.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - Ignore the numbers and that I am not too sure that he has any friendship with Pastore aside from International games together, but there is a chance he will sign for PSG.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see him ending up at juventus
