What do people make of Andre Schurrle? I'm not saying we're interested or anything, but he looks a good young player who can play out wide or in an attacking mid role. Ed002, do you know approximately how much he would cost, if he is going to leave this summer? {Ed002's Note - There is every chance he will move this summer - a couple of bids around €20M were previously rejected.}

I have said for the last 12-18 months he would be a class option for the left side of an attack instead of Rodriguez or Gaitan. For his price aswell it would be perfect.

Hes almost definatly going to end up at chelsea so I wouldn't get your hopes up

Potential to maybe become a very good player. But I don't think he will ever be world class. Would be an excellent squad player for Chelsea.
But United should look out for players like Rodriguez. We need more creativity.

ed002, i'd like to see your opinion on who you think will join us (united) in the summer. thanks. {Ed002's Note - Whilst I can explain where the interest is I cannot tell what will actually come about. So simply an opinion, I would say in addition to Zaha that deals might well be struck for Begovic, Garay, Strootman, Gaitan and Lewandowski.
But things change and it is easy to see alternates needing to be considered - e.g. would Manchester United look again at Cirigliano if Strootman went to Italy? Would Manchester United skip past further interest in Eriksen to try and get a deal for Goetze when a new manager arrives in 2014? There is interest in Garay from elsewhere so will United tough it out and pay more, or will they look elsewhere? We'll see - but just opinion for now.}

I think you'll keep plenty of people happy with that response Ed002 so thanks for that! Just to add to it though, any specific reason why you have chosen Gaitan? Have we rekindled interest in him (as I though we'd gone cold on him) and is he a more likely option than Rodriguez?
Thanks {Ed002's Note - It was opinion RPC.}

Really think we'll be signing that many players Ed002?Who in your opinion could you see leaving then? {Ed002's Note - I gave an opinion - I have no intention of entering a debate about it.}

So you believe SAF will be gone at the end of next season Ed002? {Ed002's Note - If that is what I said.}

SAF wants another CL to be up there with Paisley IMO. He really wants another CL.

Ok I have no real football knowledge, well till I get a few pints on a Saturday then I know it all :), and I appreciate ed's views and share some of them even if I don't understand them. Bergovic is a very good goalie imho ain't as good as DeGea so why pay teens of millions ( ok maybe 12 for a reserve keeper? We have an abundance of established or very good up and coming centre backs and while I think Garay is class WHY? Similarly Lewandowski, excellent, but imo Hernandez is again better and can hardly get a game. Strootam I hope does come, while he may not be better than the aforementioned it is a position we need to address.
Similarly if, as seems likekely Leighton Baines leaves Everton, surely we would be interested? If not Alex sandro from Porto with his team mate Rodriguez would be great.

I am both a united fan and an England fan, so does anyone think that we'll sign anymore English players this summer to go along with zaha? If so, who? If not, which players fron the youth setup are the most likely to break into the first team next season?

Very interesting to see Gaitain linked, did not expect that at all. Really don't think that he is good enough and I also don't think that we will push for Garay if others become interested.

Also sounds that we could be interested in Cirigliano which would be very interesting.

Philiphs93, I think Powell will either go on loan or go straight into the first team, I doubt he will be in the U21s again anyway. Januzaj or Lingard may make a few PL appearances but other than that I expect that most of the U21s will only feature in the league cup.
We have reportedly been looking at Haiden White who is a young right back at Wednesday (don't know if it could confirm that?). We have scouted Will Hughes and have a reported long term interest in Ross Barkley (personally would be my favorite young signing). That's all I know about ours and English youths we may be interested in.

If we are interested in Verrati, could he be involved in a deal if at all Rooney were to leave for PSG? {Ed002's Note - Marco Verratti's move to PSG in the summer was unexpected as all indications were for a move to Juventus. In the unlikely case that he were available in the summer, there would be plenty of clubs interested, not least his most likely destination Juventus.}
