Ed, you mentioned Vidal in the transfer post (thanks a lot by the way), are we trying to agree a deal for January or the summer? Do you personally think there is any chance of it succeeding?

A question on 2 players for the ed's or anyone in the know. Ed02's piece, which I found very illuminating BIG THANKS, mentioned the dreaded buy out clause for Moreno and the possible asking price for Alex Sandro.

I'm a big fan of Baines but the reported asking price is way too much for his age. Moreno and Sandro are both young enough to be worth, imo, that amount though. I believe through papers etc. that Moreno's release figure is 25 mil (not sure if that is euros or £) is that correct please? Porto apparently are asking 25m for Sandro but my Porto fan friend reckons 20m would get him again not sure if £ or euros, does this tally with the info you guys have? Thank you in advance.

According to the Mirror Coentrao has been told he can leave RM having only featured in 2 matches thus far for £12m.

Whilst I think Baines is better and offers more if Everton value him at £25m as reported, he's not worth it at his age.

Rumour has it, Wayne Rooney won't sign a contract until significant investment is made into the squad.

This seems to be the headlines news during every window now, instead of focusing on who we are signing, it turns into a side show about his contract.

The club needs to put this issue to bed one way or another and pissed with Moyes for answering the question the way he did and I am assuming it has been taken out of context as usual.

Theres something in the paper today saying he will leave if we don't make champions league.Can see it being true everyone wants CL now and without a bit of investment we may struggle to get it.This is where the main threat lies imo without CL the fall could be fast and hard.Heres to hoping we can scrape through this season and start the major rebuild next.

You could see this being believable look how deep he had to drop on weds against spurs, we need rooney in the last third not coming to get the ball off the centre halfs

If this is true, I'd back Rooney, as I did last time. For me, Sir Alex gave him more to sign with empty promises of new signings, probably on the orders of the Glazers. Alex has gone but the Glazers haven't. Be prepared for more disappointments!
