Tevez going to madrid benzema or higuan be availble surely SAF must make a bid TORQS

Believable9 Unbelievable16

Brilliant just read he wants to leave City this summer bye bye money grabber

Agree0 Disagree0

Yea, heard this news, ...see this is wat happens when u turn moneymaker...
But it is no where mentioned he is going to Madrid.
He might go to Italy..
But WHO CARES, ......
Now city will be handicap without him....This season united are getting better and well, the story says where city are going.
No good player wants a move to city...Sanchez already said no to city and in 2days time it will be Nasri who will say no to city........

.....I M LOVING IT....

nasri will surely be a united come the end of the week.No team is better than united in England and of coarse our trophies show.Wenger is scared that his team will collapse.

Believable34 Unbelievable25

With city having bought clichy, i feel united should give arsenal money + o'shea for nasri, and then berbatov + money for schweinsteiger. i guess it will about 15 mill on both + players. Berbatov worth 15 (+-) and o'shea 7-8 (at least)=

Nasri will go to City, already making excuses that it's not for the money.
Modric will eventually get his wish and go to Chelsea.
Sneidjer will stay at Inter, he's happy there and on big wages.
Sanchez will go to Barca after drawn out transfer negotiation.
M'Villa will join Man Utd for 20 mill

Murph

Believable24 Unbelievable39

M'vila signed a contract extension until 2015, so would be very surprised if anyone could afford to buy.

Agree0 Disagree0

You were doing well until you said about M'Vila. He has recently signed a new deal at his club to keep him there for another 4 years. He also made it clear he does not wish to move to the Premier League just yet when LFC chirrped up and said they were interested in him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha I actually think you're wrong on every prediction mate, except maybe the sanchez one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Right on everything but M'villa I hear Sneidjer ins nailed on to join utd.

Despite the rumours that man utd have given up on wesley sneijder the daily star has reported that man utd will sign sneijder if man city, as expected, sign samir nasri

Believable17 Unbelievable25

The Daily Star gets it's stories by trawling other papers and rumour sites, not via anything as difficult or costly as journalism. I can't see us moving for Sneijder - if we fail in the bid for Nasri (who I think we're ahead of City in the chase for) I would imagine next stop would be Modric - he'd cost about the same as Sneijder, have lower wages and he's younger (and better).

DarkLard08

Agree0 Disagree0

Citys website even more confused. Saying Nasri is closing in on Sanchez.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dare say it will happen the other way around. Sneijder to City because of his wage demands and Nasri to United because of his desire to win trophies.

Sneijder...... Don't want him, great player but he's all about the money.... HERBIE

i have a friend who claims to have a source within united. and he says that chris smalling will be rewarded with number6 shirt after his fantastic debut season. tom cleverley will take smallings number12 shirt with phil jones taking the number4 shirt

Believable33 Unbelievable12

If this is true then we can expect Jones to be used to sit in front of the defense but behind the midfield like Hargreaves did. Anyone else think that next season United will use the 4-1-2-1-2 formation?

Agree0 Disagree0

I think a 4 2 3 1 will be our standard formation with a 4 3 3 a more likely second option with jones holding next to 2 good ball playing midfielders. with a hernandez thhrough the middle and interchangable inside forwards/wingers.

With the out and out wingers we have i feel a 4 1 2 1 2 wouldn't particularly work to our strengths and might leave us slightly exposed.

The players we, ve brought in give us more dynamism and vesitilaty allowing for tactical changes during games.

But then again i'm not fergie, and he has guided us to 19 (and hopefully 20 next season) titles.

Rosco

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think just because jones wears number 4 means he will play in midfield

If we dont get NASRI we can buy KAGAWA and he's interested in a move to United not to mention other advantages gained by signing an ASIAN player

MUMBAI_BOY

Believable26 Unbelievable17

I've heard that man u will make a shock signing if nasri fails to materialise. TOM HUDDELSTONE TO REPLACE SCHOLES.

TRUMORS

Agree0 Disagree0

About Kagawa signing for Manchester United....He's not said anything about anything other than settling back into playing for Borussia Dortmund after a spell on the sidelines through injury. No indications from the player about wanting to move, and no indications from the club about wanting to sell. Once again, media fantasy.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2011 15:11:29
Thank his someone knows what pistons sanchez plays.... he is a long term target and has megastar talent make no mistake he is the real deal. SAF will spend big to get him as his potential impact is worth big money. Ex pect 40m plus fee that we WILL pay. This deal could shape our future team and chances of success, if we dont we will end up with inferior squad to city and chelsea. Biggest window for us in yrs.

Believable26 Unbelievable18

He will be Barcelona player as soon as Copa America finishes, or when Chile get knocked out.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's understood that our highest bid for Sanchez was £27m or £28m and that we will not budge. There is absolutely no chance we would pay £40m for him.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree we should bid big to make sure we get him. Barca wouldnt want him if he was that average would they. We need another player that other teams should fear n worry about . Were too predictable at the min with players we have. We need that little bit of magic, sparkle, class that can turn the game on its head. For me nani on a good day, wazza , hernandez, and giggs only people we have to do this. Giggs is now being more controlled down to his age and nani dont always deliver. Know we ll neva get the same player but a replacement for scholes and ronaldo required . We havent come close to replacin ronaldo although hernandez great player, so we certainly cant let scholes retire and not replace him either. Sanchez and mata be two id like to see. Buts that not to say id be dissapointed with nasri or others. TORQS {Ed002's Note - I don't see Sanchez at Manchester United I am afraid.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not about offering more money to get the player, Sanchez himself wants to go to Barcelona so he will either end up at Barcelona or stay at Udinese.

Udinese cannot force him to join City, Chelsea or United if the player wants the Barcelona move. The player has the power, all Udinese can realistically do is keep him in Udine. They cannot force him to join Chelsea, United or City just because they have bid more than Barcelona.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is it that unlikely we wont get sanchez EDS? Lets just hope SAF suprises us. Hope you can see where im coming from where although we have made great additions so far , just want a already developed player that can come in and make an immediate impact instead of nuturing him for two or three years like ronaldo. We then make the player amazing and then pack him off to madrid. {Ed007's Note - I would love Utd to sign Sanchez but I doubt it with the finances involved}

Agree0 Disagree0

Although i think he does want barca move if that doesnt go through do you not think the player would fancy the move to OT? Arent we meant to be the team he supported etc. I agree you cant force the player to go anywhere he dont want to but would he really dislike the idea of joining us boys. . . or stay at udinese.? I can only live in hope that we get him(unlikely as it is). How nice would it be to see him in our team next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

04 Jul 2011 13:40:20
Right, lets get this straight. SAFs main targets this summer were De Gea, Young and Sanchez.
Jones was bought a year earlier than planned due to Liverpool sniffing. No one expected Nasri to look for a way out so that is why he is on the radar now.
Young and Sanchez were the 2 outfield targets as contrary to belief they are not out and out wingers but are versatile and capable of playing in any attacking position.
Will Sanchez come? Only if Fab signs for Barca and they dont up their offer.

MU interests are still alive and hopeful for Sanchez. Apparently, Barcelona last bid has yet to be accepted and still want Fabregas. United can offer more money.

I was surprised by this because I thought Nasri was the priority and thought Sanchez leaving died out.

Believable8 Unbelievable15

Its a daily Mirror Story, and a bad one at that. Did you read the "Exclusive" on Ronaldo on sunday. which apparently was completely made up. so dont believe all you read. Barcelona have ample funds rather than the £40m quoted. Even if they do only afford Fabregas, i would expect udinese to keep Sanchez till next summer till Barca come a knocking again. Same Saga as the Fabregas one has been for years

Agree0 Disagree0

Sanchez price tag = £44m. That's what's throwing SAF off. Everyone knows United make stars out of young cheap players. That's why I think he's gone for Jones instead of De Rossi, Young instead of Sanchez and De Gea instead Adler. Younger talent that will hopefully bring us the money in the future.

Coming from somebody who accuses people of being Liverpool fans if they do not share his opinion I can't say that rainfish's attitude regarding who is 'allowed' to be Manchester United fans surprises me all too much.

What I don't get is why everybody is getting so annoyed about it. Anybody who has read any of his other posts should be able to see how misinformed and narrow-minded he is. Why would anybody care what such a person thinks?

As Sydney has already said - were it not for fans outside Manchester supporting our club it would not be half the club it is today.
T0MB0Z

Believable31 Unbelievable7

As far as I'm concerned if they wear the shirt they get the support and if they watch the shirt they are a supporter no matter where they are and I'm a season ticket holder myself and welcome one and all. thats what makes this club so great and so popular all over the world.

Hopefully Valencia's injury will push us towards Hazard

MPez

Believable6 Unbelievable35

I believe this means we will keep Nani.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonono we dont need another winger
come on guys get a grip Nani park valencia young giggs is enough. Nani can take his place although the papers did say valencia could miss ecuadors next game, hence should be fit for the start of the season

TRUMORS

Agree0 Disagree0

Think we should be more hopeful that his injury isn't too serious ( doesn't seem so ) he is one of our most consistent players and was missed last season when he got injured.

Agree0 Disagree0

We got enough wingers... Nani, Valencia, Young, Park, Giggs. Hazard is quality but we don't need him. What we need is Samir Nasri, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Luka Modric or Wesley Sneijder... Someone like that

city are so confident of sigining nasri that they have booked a private plane at london city airport to bring him to manchester for the whole of this week if this is true man city have more money than sense by the sounds of it

Believable17 Unbelievable25

They wouldn't have to book much my friend, their owners have a private jet each. Private jets are a matter of hundreds of thousands to book, not millions. Any PL club could arrange for a player to be picked up by private jet.

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - Syd you are miles out with the cost of using a private small jet to transport someone from London to Manchester to London. It is much, much less than "hundreds of thousands" to rent a light jet for a couple of hours.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Oops I misread the post, I meant book it for a week and have it on standby for the week to pick Nasri up from Vegas, I totally misread the post because I am understood that Nasri is to remain in Vegas til Wednesday after the club gave him an extra couple of days to stay on in America.

Am I right in thinking he is still in America til Wednesday Ed?

This week suddenly the rumours of Bastian Schweinsteiger have come alive, ..but i do believe he signed new 5 years contract with Bayers. Some of the posters on this site have also mentioned Berbatov + pounds for him.
I dont know how much is truth in it, though if this happens it could be massive signing of the season for united.
Also Nasri looks certain either to join Manchester United for Move away from England. I dont think he will every sign for City, coz he said he will leave Arsenal for Trophies and Money does nt matter for him. He needs Medals rather then heavy pay.
Chelsea could battle for him, but as i said he comes to united if he stays in England for moves to Italy or Spain.

All the signings will be in this week as united prepare for north america trip next week, On Monday they leave for the tour.
Also Young and Jones will be revealed tomorrow, and could start training with their united mates.

Also hope Valencia will be back soon after taking an ankle injury yesterday.
Good Luck for him on behalf of all united fans..

Hi everyone ,

Just reading through sources and stuff and found this:

United closing in on sanchez?
IMO i tink there's no point as he is a winger. He is too similar to nani and would not work at united. Aren't we wanting a new cm? Not a winger/striker

John o Shea being sold for 3 million??
I know that is crap as he is worth far more to us than 3.
We shoild at least get 6-8 million for him mainly because how much fergie and majority of supporters value his versatility,

Nasri going to city?
We can't let this happen atall. If we do really want him then fergie will bid higher. City said that this summer they cannot bid 10 million higher than rivals.we should bid 30 million as we can afford it

Jc

Believable11 Unbelievable22

I don't believe we will sell him for £3million. I just don't see the point. He is good enough to do a job for us when called upon. So unless we get £6-7million for him I would not want to see him go. Unless he himslef says he is desperate to leave. If both O'Shea and Brown leaves I would like to see a young versatile defender come in, or promote from the academy.

I know Arsenal see us as their rivals (for the title) but surely if Nasri is determined to leave and Arsene is unable to sell abroad and the two options on the table are City and United, he would prefer him joining us. I know it sounds weird but they finished behind City and are surely now looking over their shoulder with the fear of losing their Champions League place. Why give them a proven Premiership player. Let them spend £30, £40, £50 million on players and get them to gel.

I know he may not see it this way but I think Arsenal have to be realistic. If Nasri, Fabregas (and to a less extent the lesser players......Bendtner, Clichy) leave, with question marks over Arshavin and then probably Van Persie, their title dreams are over. They need to consolidate and make sure they do not miss out on Champions League. With Liverpool and Spurs biting at their heels, the last thing they need is to make City stronger.

Nasri to have showdown talks with wenger today. He will say he wants to leave as he wants to further his career at a trophy winning club. utd will launch a 20 mill bid at some point this week. Nasri will then try and force this through and will hopefully be a utd player within a fortnight on 110 grand a week.

Believable17 Unbelievable12

04 Jul 2011 09:15:46
this is FANTASTIC NEWS.nasri and fabregas are going to talk to Wenger today about leaving the club.which means that wenger is probably going to accept at least one of them.which also means another signing for us.if he accepts Nasri, Nasri will more than likely come to us and if he accepts Fabregas he'll go to Barcelona and we'll get Sanchez.if wenger accepts them both we get Nasri + Sanchez [probably].

Believable23 Unbelievable20

I doubt Nasri will he is on Holiday till Thursday

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh you do live in an ideal world... Thats fine if you believe that Barca only have circa £40m to spend, which I think is a bit of a curve ball. They wouldn't have bid for Sanchez as they knew they would get Fabregas. I firmly believe that Barca can afford both and seeing as it looks like they are selling Bojan and perhaps other fringe players they should easily stretch themselves to ensure those two players are at Camp Nou next year. I hope that we do sign one of the two, (preferably Sanchez) but I think we may miss out on both. We'll see I guess.

From what I understand Sir Alex is looking at 2 more signings. His need for a CM has turned him to Bastian Schweinsteiger, he will cost around 30 million although Berbatov could be used in the deal. If not Berbatov will be sold to Valencia thus meaning we need a replacement forward, Sir Alex has lond admired Huntelaar and will try and get him cheap.

You have got to love Petr Cech's arrogance when talking about David De Gea. De Gea turns 21 in a few months time, but thinks it's a gamble and questions whether he will make it at United. Cech forgets he played for Chelsea when he was just one year older than De Gea is now.

De Gea will break all of your records that VDS hasn't already broken.

Sydney!

Believable31 Unbelievable9

Personally i think De gea will struggle, i watch a lot of spanish football and he's slighty overrated..I dont think he's better than Diego Lopez for instance..he's good shot keeper that's about it..

Agree0 Disagree0

I disagree i have been watching him this season and he is a good keeper very similar to casilas also he was fantastic in the ueros u21s pulled off some amazing saves and he played good for athletico madrid when they won the europa league considering less than 3 seasons ago he was 3rd choice keeper to asenjo and the other keeper coupet i think but with injuries 2 the 1st and 2nd choice keeper he was given a chance and he has played well and kept the number 1 gk spot which is hard 2 do as coupet was a great keeper and so is asenjo

Rainfish, you are officially the worst United fan I'v ever come across. You think your more of a fan than anyone else because you live 5 minutes away from Old Trafford. I could say your only a United fan because of convenience. I'm from Ireland but my Dad lived in England for years when he was a kid. My Grandad was United threw and threw. The greatest gift my Dad ever gave me was United and I'll pass it on to my kids one day.
It doesn't matter where your from, your race, your religion as long as you get behind the team your alright in my book and I'm ashamed your a United fan. You sound like a bitter old man who needs to put people down in order to feel big. You never post anything constructive just negative.
For me to go to a match i have to spent hundreds of euros to see MY team each year, people from asia have to get up in the middle of the morning to catch a game live. Fans from other countries sacrifice a lot more than you do to support OUR great team. Kids from poorer countries kicking a ball against a wall dreaming one day the can walk out at Old Trafford, United is more than geography, it's hope, it's a feeling than you belong to something.

Footy Latest are running a story saying there's no longer any interest in Sneijder but we've turned our attention to Klaas Jan Huntelaar supposedly.

Not familiar with football latest, at least don't often see the BBC quoting them, but it's on there at the moment.

Eds - any likelyhood of this happening or is it rubbish? What would you think if it were a possibilty, I know little about Huntelaar.

-Joe

Believable7 Unbelievable24

Huntelaar to united would be highly unlikely in my opinion. This could be recycled info from seasons past as we were allegedly interested a couple of years ago. Also in my opinion I don't think he is the man to score us goals for years to come, lots of talk in the papers about edinson cavani who really can be world class. Can't give any inside knowledge (as others claim to give) only know what I read, but it's called "silly season" for a reason. Don't know if this helps. Cheers.
