Hello lads!
How many of u can imagine lewandowsky in blue of chelsea? I think its getting like hazard situation ( and he looks like tall hazard too;-))
I feel that he will end up either at chelsea, bayern or real madrid. Although I would like to see him as our new no 9 but I feel chances are less as we have too many strikers. And lewy definatly won't come to sit on the bench

Or MUFC. T45

Agree0 Disagree0

Get a midfielder wee do not another striker. if he comes then rooney or herandies will go. 2 me no need for him unless he plays wellebeck on the wing. saf allways likes 4 strikers

Agree1 Disagree0

We don't need a striker of lewandawski's class? Are u for real? Of course we do, players like lewi will take us to the next level.
Welbeck is average, Rooney might be pushed back into midfield and hernandez might get sold. So that leaves rvp the only out and out striker who can score goals. So what happens if rvp gets injured?
Nomidfield

Agree1 Disagree1

We need a winger and a Cm more than a striker, why does SAF do this to us!

hii ed first time poster and regular reader of the site. My question is do u think that rooney will accept the terms? And SAF put the contract infront of rooney is that lower wage contract I mean its 150 k or etc. Thanx in adv {Ed002's Note - I have no idea what the terms of any proposaed new contract are.}

Believable2 Unbelievable7

Thanx ed
Only SAF knows what's the terms

I wouldn't look too much into Mr Woodwards comments just yet. I would like to think we are playing possum so to speak as surely its silly to announce to clubs were going on a spending spree and we have money to burn as every team will slap an extra few million and agents will be rubbing there hands.

My only concern is that the high profile targets are rumoured to be going to other clubs.

Lewy to Bayern
Bale to Madrid
Ronaldo to PSG (i think they out bid us).
The only player I am fairly confident on will be Strootman but as last season I am sure we were linked heavily with Michu only for SAF to say he had never even heard of him.

One thing for sure its never boring being a Manchester United fan. Roll on next season.

Would love to see Powell and Januzaj given a run in the 1st team. and not just a 10min sub appearance towards the end of an already won match.

We were never linked to michu and ninety five per cent of anyone involved in english football had never heard of him.

Agree1 Disagree1

SAF is talking rubbish saying he hadn't heard of Michu. His bother was spotted at a lot of Vallecano games and it would only be Michu he was scouting.

Agree1 Disagree0

Strootman recently spoke out and didn't really clarify wether he would be leaving or not, he's saying all the right things and United legend Van Der Sar has spoke of him recently too. Think it's just a matter of time before he becomes a United player. Great signing if so.

i was with mick and ryan tunners last night in browns, heywood, believe me or not, I've known his dad for years, according to them ryans told his agent he wants out, he's peed off that januzaj has been here for two mins (how he puts it)and being calles up to the 1st team already, he reckons he is on the bench for tomoz, believe me or not but he is leaving.

Really can't see Tunnicliffe leaving.

Agree1 Disagree1

Off he goes so. let him get big headed and carry on like a plonker drink driving and that. He doesn't deserve a first team spot and that's a fact

Agree0 Disagree0

Guess they won't be talking to you again then, if this is true. LMAO

Agree0 Disagree0

04 May 2013 10:55:19
If true then it shows he doesn't have the attitude expected of a United player. Comes across as a another cocky i'd who expects it all now. And based on his last 2 loans he'd hardly be a loss.

Agree3 Disagree0

If that's his attitude let him leave. A decent player from what I've seen but not pulled up any trees as yet. At a much younger age, Adnan shows clear talent and will benefit from being fast-tracked even if just for a short cameo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would he be annoyed that januzaj has been called up to the 1st team? Its got nothing to do with him who progresses so if it is true he wants to leave then good ridance, however I don't believe a word of it anyway.

phil

Agree1 Disagree0

I believe this as although I haven't spoke to him in a while i'm his mate and he does go out in browns

Well that's the sort of petulant attitude no club needs. Talent will always prevail so if you're a better player then of course you will get more chances! (Not a dig at you! Thanks for the post Mick!)

Agree0 Disagree0

I like Tunnicliffe and think he is a good prospect, he has power, pace, versatility, he can defend, score etc etc, but he is sloppy in possession and needs to work on his passing. If he can sort out his passing he would make a decent squad player. IMO he needs loans and he is still a couple of season's away. Januzaj has everything. Everything bar physicality. But that will come in good time. Players like Daehli & Januzaj are already good enough to play for an EPL side, they just lack the strength and that will come naturally.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not bothered who believes and who doesnt, I've never come on here trying to say I know the ins and outs at carrington, I know nothing about the club other than what's in the papers, neither does mick or ryan, I've asked them loadsa times and they don't know a thing, just thought i'd share this as some of u like ryan as a player, the lad who knows tunners and knows i'm tellin the truth you will also know ryan carden aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry didn't sign off. ,
mick the red fireman

Agree0 Disagree0

Cheers adz & johnny mufc, sydney I get what your saying, I like adnan he is class, he needs to fill out, I also like lingard alot, although he also lightweight I think given some opportunities he could make an impression, matts moller and perrera also though they are a few years behind, thanks for the serious reply.
mick the red fireman.

Agree0 Disagree0

Januzaj clearly deserves it more he's playing far better. Hate the I've been here for longer card it shouldn't work like that and I'm glad it isn't. No room for sentiment. I don't rate Tunnicliffe anyway, poor on the ball.

Dan

Agree0 Disagree0

Goodbye, he's not messi for Christ sake. Over rated and will never make it at united.
Nomidfield

Agree0 Disagree0

It's good to have people like mick on the site. Others seem to forget that some of the reserve players are from Manchester and its inevitable some of us will know them or see them out locally. It's rumours like this that are the most reliable. Rather than guess work or regurgitated press releases!

Adz

Agree0 Disagree0

Not good enough anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see this being true. But the thing I fear the most is that you was in Browns! Urrgh what next "The Crown"

Agree0 Disagree0

Really can't see tunners leaving watched him all season for the under 21's and he has been excellent, he will definitely get his chance in the first

I'm prepared for those who disagree with me, as I don't have any sources inside the club or anything like that, but it seems to me that the recent comments by Gill and SAF suggest we will be going for quality and not quantity in the summer. Glad to hear it as we already have a large squad of top players which is needed for a long season in multiple competitions, but we can still add one or two starting XI players to help us in the big matches and get past Europe's elite in the CL. I'm still of the belief that United will work very hard this summer to try and sign Ronaldo. I've stated in detail before why I think the business dealing have laid the groundwork for the deal, and with Mourinho heading to Chelsea and not PSG, I think it's helped our chances with PSG less likely to prove attractive to CR7. My predictions for the summer, albeit optimistic, would be Ronaldo and Strootman. We have no need for depth anywhere else, Garay makes no sense. The only way we add another player, besides Zaha, is if we sell or exchange one of Hernandez/Valencia/Young. I'm also thinking that SAF doesn't trust Amos to back up De Gea yet, so if Lindegard moves I can see a cheap, veteran player being brought in as cover.

Believable28 Unbelievable5

Very sensible post. Arrival of Strootman and Ronaldo will address the two weak areas, wing and central midfield. With the likes of Januzaj and Powell showing good progress, we can hope for a good season

Agree1 Disagree0

SAF keeps banging on about resale value. Can't see us paying £50+ million for a 28 year old with no resale value.

Agree0 Disagree0

A 28 year old who could potentially have 5+ seasons left in him, a figure that would seem peanuts should we continue winning the PL and add a couple of CL trophies during that time. Ronaldo has been one of the best 2 players in the world for the last 8 years so I think he is an exception to the case of requiring resale value.

Hi guys, interesting post I was speaking to a chap called phil last night that used to be in charge of some of the security at OT he still has strong connections at the club and said that the rumours coming out of OT are that Chevrolet have agreed in principle to help find a way for UTD to fund a move for Ronaldo.
Nike apparently refused as it was of no interest to them. I still think that at 50+ million it could work for us on and off the pitch. He also said that Rooney knows which side his bread is buttered and will refuse to go anywhere if that was ever considered.

Stew4d

Agree0 Disagree0

Would not be suprised no comparison in quality. Tunicliffe will at best play championship football were Januji (spelling)can become a top premiership player.
Good luck to both
Dylan

Agree0 Disagree0

Has Fergie ever actually metioned resale value? This is a genuine question as I don't know. People keep talking about resale value on here and from a business point of view it's obvious but I really can't see Sir Alex signing or favouring players for their resale price. Don't Utd tend to keep most of their players long term?Who have they actually made a lot of profit on?Bar Ronaldo. Resale implies you're a selling club and Utd are certainly not that. Apart from Ronaldo which players have Utd lost that they wanted to keep? I think none.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is not just the resale value of CR7. The investment made for a 28yr old is high, but the marketing value in shirt sales and sponsorship will allow MU to recoup it far quicker than thought.
Not to say it is a done deal, but makes financial sense and is very much a possibility. I would have him any day over our current crop of wingers

Agree1 Disagree0

Good post, agree with a lot of it. Also yeah I don't think resale value matters when it comes to one of the best players in the world haha.

KG,
A nice honest post. However I'm just not sure I can see Ronaldo coming back this summer. Ironically I do think we need a world class winger and CR would tick that box. I just cannot see it even though I would love it. Personally I can see Stootman arriving, Lewandowski and then with Anderson, Nani, potentially Vidic leaving, a CB coming in also.
Ed002 has been brilliant recently with his opinion and it sounds good. Perhaps if he is available he could clarify the Ronaldo situation, cheers Ed.
