Schalke want to set up a swap involving their striker Klaas-Jan Huntelaar for Manchester United ace Dimitar Berbatov.

The Daily Star says German club Schalke admit they are interested in doing a deal, even though Huntelaar, 28, has scored 10 Bundesliga goals this season.

Unwanted Berbatov, 30, will be a free agent next summer and is still highly rated in Germany after his five-year spell with Bayer forward Leverkusen.

Schalke general manager Horst Heldt said: “Swapping Huntelaar for Berbatov is a very interesting proposal. I’d just need to sleep for a night on the idea.

“It is entirely natural for a player in the sort of top form Huntelaar is showing to interest other clubs.”

Not a clue who we could sign. If we make a move in January i can see it being for either Rodwell or Barkley. But it's a guessing game. I expect all of the following to gone by the end of the summer:
Kuszscak
Carrick
Gibson
Berbatov
Diouf
Giggs (Retire)

May see these leave:
Macheda
Valencia? Not convinced myself, but a few rumours around.
Anderson
Evra - hopefully
Evans - still good enough for 5th choice cb.

Are u mad? Ando is our best centre mid by far and the most adaptable, can be creative/attacking or defensive according to what fergie asks

As for Evra, he's still the best left back in the world!! Our hardest working and most consistent player without doubt, not to mention he plays more games than anyone, he's just struggling with injury at the moment

People keep saying Evans is good enough for 5th choice centre back but thats BS, he wouldnt get near the city or chelsea team at all and that means he has to go, infact there should be no such thing as a 4th or 5th choice player at all, we should have equal quality in abundance in each and every position so that the manager has to choose who he thinks is the most in form and suitable for each individual game, Evans is not good enough to be 1st choice CB so that deems him surplus, end of story

Last thing I heard of Ronaldo was that he was on the verge of signing a new contract at Real Madrid that would keep him there til he retires.
