The people got their story 100% right today about Ross Barklay. He is no 1 on Fergie's wanted list as he is the real deal and everyone is saying he is the new Bryan Robson. We have already offered big money for him and if not for the Arteta sale he could have been a United player. We also offered Gibson plus money for him. Fergie will not let it go and is determined to land this very very special player. This info is 100% true RAINFISHTROMBONE

Believable25 Unbelievable11

But I thought we were skint RFT? Are you the real RFT?

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - It is the real RFT Syd. I can verify that.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Not seen much of him, but I've heard he's a very good player. I assume our interest in Rodwell has cooled. How much would Everton want for Barkley?

G.A.G.U.S

Agree0 Disagree0

I never said we were skint Syd i just said the Glazers wouldn't spend it. I have it on very good authority that we have offered silly money for the boy as he is so good. And he would have a very big sell on value. RAINFISHTROMBONE

Agree0 Disagree0

He's a good player, and has very quick feet for such a big lad. I know it's early days but I think we'll be hearing a lot of his name on here for the next 10 months or so.

Matthew... {Ed007's Note - *sob*}

'RFT'

I love watching English youth develop under SAF, I like it far more than buying overpriced mercenaries like Sneijder. I know you do too RFT, there doesn't seem to be a better feeling than watching them grow into top talents. Would love to see Tunnicliffe, Morrison, Smalling, Jones, Welbeck, Cleverley & possibly Barkley all grow together with the foreign flair of De Gea, Rafael, Fabio & Pogba. Add them to our core of Rooney, Nani, Valencia, Anderson, Young, Vidic & Hernandez. We will have a very young and talented squad for years. It's evident that SAF is building something special at this club. When he said he will look to close the gap on Barcelona, I didn't think he meant straight away, I think he means he will build a team of youth to challenge for years to come. Watching Anderson and Cleverley pass quickly and keeping it to two touches, I think he is trying to play the Barcelona way.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry pals but barkley going know where hes at everton for the long haul

Agree0 Disagree0

Ya rodwell seems to be on the radar for last 2 years but nothing happened, and now barkeley ,i think people ant another rooney badly

Agree0 Disagree0

The difference being that this lad has the potential to BE another Rooney if not better, given the right guidance.

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

SAF has know about Ross for at least 2 seasons and monitored him in Evertons youth set up.
Only thing is apparently his Dad isn't in the picture and has spent the last few years being looked after by evertons physio so he may well have some semblance of loyalty to them.
SAF had made enquiries tracking his progress at some awards in London last year, asking about a talented everton youngster. The physio presumed he meant Rodwell but told them he was talking about Barkley

Agree0 Disagree0

You must read the papers and then add your little bit..about how u know an insider in the club and that you know whats happening...really you know as much as we do...which is diddly-sqaut...

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton have serious problems (more so than being reported). If we want him badly enough he'll be for sale.

Agree0 Disagree0

Everton dont have 'serious problems' but they are prepared to announce it and let the media over-hype it, everton are in 25m debt and ross barkley is staying unless a 100m bid comes in, he is the future of england, THE REAL FUTURE

With Uniteds financial position improving all the time United are planning to make a 100 million bid for CR7. Yes, the great man will be coming back next summer. Berbatov and Owen will leave, Ronaldo will join. He loves the club, the club loves him and he will finish his career with us.

Believable7 Unbelievable61

Dont u think thats slightly optamistic

Agree0 Disagree0

I really can't see it. Why would we pay 100 million for him? that kind of fee could finish Uncle Malcolm off, which i am see 99.9% of United fans would probably cheer, but given the fee and likely wages i have to say that there is more chance of Elvis riding the Lord Lucan trained Shergar to glory in this years Grand National.

Rincewind

PS if this happens i will quite happily streak past the sky sports desk especially if Georgie or Hayley are on, probably followed by Bond and TK Red if their chat last night is anything to go on. {Ed007's Note - I could live with that! Not sure Hayley could right enough.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol the sight of us 3 running past would be hilarious. Can imagine Kammy now "Its unbelivable Jeff") Merson wouldn't have a clue as usual either. Hayley would probably be unfazed. We'd probably be chased by Moneypenny, mrs Rincewind and Mrs Tk Red though. be right Benny Hill scene just need the music.

Rincewind {Ed007's Note - Would be worth it though, maybe get a fly kick in at Jim White while we are there!}

Agree0 Disagree0

Eidget watched ssn and put 2 and 2 together and come up with stupid

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolutely zero chance of Ronaldo returning to Old Trafford in a Utd side
He will cost way to much money

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha that is so funny. So the 100 mill operating profit we finally made and slowly having the first step towards moving out of debt, we'd throw our selves back in with an 100m bid for ronaldo?! get real mate, bordering on delusional with that one.

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

Damn Bond now i want us to sign him!! Just be too funny.

Rincewind {Ed007's Note - I'll check the fine print of the restraining order that Hayley took out on me ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

It will never happen, Ronaldo will stay at Real for two more seasons and then move to City in a record breaking mega deal. This will see Aguero move the other way plus cash. Ronaldo will be on around £500k a week. Don't think for one moment he wouldn't move to City. City will move heaven and earth to get him too.

That is what I see happening anyway. As much as it would sicken me.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

With the FFP rules being introduced I doubt he'd be signing for anyone for £500k. City have a lot to do to get themselves within the limits set by the FFP rules. They are currently spending something like 130% of turnover on wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that is bull s*** but if he did come then i think with the squad that we have got i think we will be the best club in the world and yes even better than barcelona.

Agree0 Disagree0

SSN are reporting breaking news whereby an old man in a tight white suit, with slicked back hair and big glasses has been seen riding an old horse thru manchester, what's that ? Looks like Christiano is set for a come back too !

Agree0 Disagree0

Why don't we wait a year or 2 more lets have say 225-250 mn bid for both ronaldo and messi wat say

PS Get real guys

Agree0 Disagree0

If fergia was going to spend 100m he would spend it on messi or xavi and ineista

Have a feeling we may move for Alain Traore at some point. Originally moved for him when we he was young but decided to go to auxerre. He's now got 5 goals and I think well be looking at him closely this season.

Sanshine

Believable2 Unbelievable10

Could you give us some more details?

Agree0 Disagree0

Search it on google, he had trials with us a while ago. Now i reckon if he keeps improving we will make a move for him as we wouldnt let anyone go off our radar. I follow the french league as I support Saint-etienne and really did well the back end of last season so good luck to the lad.

Alain Traore revealed he was close to joining Manchester United.

www.sportinglife.com/football/news/story_get.cgi?STORY_NAME=soccer/11/02/02/manual_160416.html&TEAMHD=soccer&BID=165

It's a rumour buddy so don't read too much into it, I think if he develops further we could very well make a move for the lad

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

To be fair i had same feeling a few weeks ago and would fit system as strong al ound goalscorer

United very much in the running to sign a South American midfielder, specifically from Brazil. The players club were unwilling to do business until the end of the league season. (December in Brazil)

Who the player is, wasn't mentioned. However for me Ganso and Lucas certainly come to mind when you think of midfielder in the Brazilian league.

From an untested source, authenticity can't be guaranteed.

Taff

Believable12 Unbelievable3

Well its interesting if anything comes of it.

Agree0 Disagree0

United were also in for Adryan Tavares. Did really well in the U17 world cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

My hope is that is is Lucas. fingers crossed :)

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

I would take any of the three, but Lucas & Ganso will cost a bomb. Adryan could be signed tomorrow for around £5m, but I think United want him for cheaper than that which is why Flamengo whacked a £12m release clause on his ass.

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - I deleted that post from your impostor Syd. Sorry about that.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed, I much prefer Lucas' style of play to Ganso's though. Adryan is naturally left footed from what I've seen of him I believe and versatile like Lucas as he can play across the midfield (in an attacking role of course). Adryan would be a long term investment though with a lot more time and effort into getting up to Premier league standard, where as i believe the other two are not too far off. Now you brought up the point about the price though, and adding into the fact SAF is going to want to leave his successor with a great team, Adryan looks the likeliest of the three.

Sanshine

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe it's Ganso on the basis that Ed002 confirmed that two British clubs were talking to Santos. He confirmed one of them was Chelsea, but doesn't know who the other one is.

Ed002 - Any news on that mate?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - I have heard no more but it will b one or other of the Manchester clubs.}

I can't be the only one who is sick of WS, why does he keep talking about United? He sounds like he is trying to convince himself that he is happier remaining at Inter than joining United. I think he has more regrets at not joining United than we United fans have at him not joining us.

Believable34 Unbelievable2

I know, he comes out with a different excuse every day. He is obviously unhappy that his greedy antics are starting to surface.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

United and me have moved on 100%. United will bring on young blood trust me! WS - He thought United were desperate, unfortunately that's untrue. In fact they are happy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said ^^^

Agree0 Disagree0

WS wants us more than we want him,a hungry player would have jumped at the chance to move to OT,lets move on.

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think it ever came down to him discussing terms with us because us and Inter never reached terms.

Please dont turn into Liverpool fans when we dont a get a player 90% of us wanted we start slagging him off!

Mumbles

Agree0 Disagree0

It has nothing to do with turning on a player, everyday after the deadline he has something to say about United. Now he is stating that someday he will play for United, why does he keep talking about it. You're in Inter player stop talking about United.

Agree0 Disagree0

'Mumbles'

Inter allowed us to speak to his reps and there were numerous meetings, but all hit a brick wall. Fees are never a problem because they will get amortised over the length of the contract. It's wages which were the problem, hence the numerous meeting that came to nothing.

Just watching SSN and they have a report on Cristiano coming up and in the clip to advertise he says he still watches the Prem as he played 6 years here and has many friends at United and the next question could he ever see himself playing in the Prem again and he said he's never closed the door on that possibility.
Now I'm not gonna claim we are going to sign him but maybe, just maybe an unsuccessful season again at Madrid and Mr Mourinho behaving embarrassingly throughout out the year, could Ronnie engineer a move back to the club he had the most success with team wise and individually!
I know it's a very tiny tiny chance but I honestly believe if that day did come, despite all of sh*#@y's money he'd only come back to us, I for one would be delighted!

Ports

Believable11 Unbelievable16

Hmm, I still love the guy, in my opinion he is the best player ever, yes even better than messi, just a shame he is so greedy haha, I wouldn't hesitate to have him back though!

UNITED_LEGENDS

Agree0 Disagree0

Didn't he openly say if Jose had left Real this summer then he would be playing for City right now?

Agree0 Disagree0

He said he is playing for the best team in the world and doesn't think there is any team on the same planet with Real Madrid, Why should we worry about him. Yes we have good memories about him. But we have moved on and have a lot of excellent players coming thru. I am happy we no longer one dimensional since this guy left for him dream team. I actually even don't care if he ends up at Man City -he is very greedy, trust me guys.

Agree0 Disagree0

The City quote was made up. As soon as it came out, Ronaldo vigorously denied ever saying it.

Red Dawn

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll be a city player within 2 seasons.
Dingle.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes UNITED LEGENDS, completely agree that he is better than messi, thank god someone agrees with me, having said that hes only better as he has proved himself in the best league in world but thats not messis fault that he hasnt, if he ever wants to try him self in the prem im sure we could prize that number 7 shirt of mickeys back!! wishful thinking!!

VIVA RONALDO

Agree0 Disagree0

City are the only team that could afford his wages, never mind the transfer fee. Also rumour has it that Rooney has a clause that keeps him the highest paid player for the next 3 years so bringing CR7 back would not be in the best financial interests of the club

The People claim United are keeping tabs on Ross Barkley.....so i guess that answers that question with the answer being "not very long at all"

TK-Red

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Who's Ross Barkley?? :-) HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

Herbie, he's Evertons young midfielder that came into the fold at the start of the season.

I am interested in buying some shares next month when/if the floatation happens. Where can I buy the shares from? Ed or anyone else who has any information or knowledge on shares.

REDMOZ {Ed007's Note - Send us the money and we will get it sorted!}

Believable2 Unbelievable2

Are you sure it wont go towards the Ed's Xmas party?

REDMOZ {Ed007's Note - Just our commission into the Cayman Isle account ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

Contact Andy Green via Twitter and discuss it with him. He will know others like yourself who want to do the same. However you should know that 50% of the shares will have no voting rights and you will be paying 33% more than the shares are actually worth.

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - I bloody knew you would know Syd!! Just out of curiousity what is the price/minimum investment if you know mate? I remember when my dad bought our CFC shares, but there was a minimum amount you had to buy.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed007 - I don't know what the minimum amount to buy will be mate. Nothing is certain yet.

Sydney! {Ed007's Note - Thanks Syd.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Syd, why do they cost 33% more than their value? Will I have to open a Twitter account to contact him?

REDMOZ

Agree0 Disagree0

'REDMOZ'

Because United are worth £1.2bn, but are planning on floating 30% of the club in Singapore for £600m. Do you know someone on Twitter? MUST may be able to help too, they must have contact details.

Sydney!
