A broken plane, a broken dream. A broken heart, a broken team. No word said, a silent vow. We loved you then, we love you now.
RIP, on the anniversary of the Munich '58 disaster.

Why would anyone disagree with this and hit "unbelievable"?

You need to remember not everyone who visits the page are United fans. But I would like to think everyone who visits are decent human beings. but apparently not.

I was rummaging through a charity shop on my day off yesterday, and bought Sir Bobby Charlton's autobiography.
Of course I was aware of the circumstances of that tragic day in Munich, but hearing it recalled by the great man was truly touching and heartbreaking all at the same time. I was also struck by how pure the love of the game, by fans and players alike, was during that period.
It seems as if the game was still innocent and unsullied by the stupendous amounts of money and fame that afflict modern football. I guess it's all contextual, but I genuinely believe the game is heading in the wrong direction.
Anyways, I sat on my bum for about 10 hours and finished it cover to cover. I was crying with laughter at Sir Bobby recalling Nobby's infamous maladroit nature, and was crying again when remembering what Manchester, and the world, lost on that tragic day.
Sleep well gentlemen. Always in our hearts.

United was made in 2011 wasn't it? Nonetheless I watched it again tonight, and even though they're actors playing the parts I still choked up. Sleeptight busby babes

Does anybody know what the deal is with Irtube? Is he living up to all the previous hype, will he be coming to us in the next couple of seasons?

Was thinking the same! He's gone to River ain't he? Shame really, Rodriquez is injured atm.

Falcoa won't come to us, hell go to a team capable of challenging for CL. We have. the worst midfield out of the top top teams which fergie has failed to address. How many years until we sign a top CM. Rvp can only carry our team for so long!

We will get one in the summer I think. SAF wanted to give Cleverley a go but clearly he is not up to it. I think Scholes will retire and we will bring in anotehr midfielder.

I think the use of "top top teams" suggests the author is Redknapp Jr or Snr

so your saying we won't sign a fifty million striker we don't need as we have a poor midfield. How about spending fifty million on the midfield then rather than a striker we don't need. And Dan cleverley has had a pretty decent season and hasn't failed at all. MrE

Well, get back on Football Manager and you can sign your own. Tell me a midfielder having a more consistant season that Carrick? If Anderson can stay fit, he will be a first team regular and Cleverley continues to look better and better.
Perhaps we should spend another 30 million on a central midfielder. Worked out so well the last time we did that, didn't it?

Haha what a joker!
Just like RVP - who left Arsenal to win trophies - would never come to us with the current midfield either? LOL
We will buy a CM'er in the summer anyway, which invalidates your point!

Well we have had such a terrible season, Fergie clearly has no idea what he is doing!
And yes that is a great point. We definitely need to get in a new midfielder so we can sign a striker we clearly don't need!

Cleverley not up for it? Don't know if you've seen any United games but he has a very good season so far.
He the bad luck with injuries so SAF is handling him with caution.
The problem is that we have no alternatives to Carrick and Cleverley in central midfield.

So you're saying we can't challenge for the champions league, I'm not sure if you realize this but Chelsea won it last season and the last time I saw we are far better than them and they have strengthened this season. Everyones quick to slate united because we don't play with the flair we once did with Ronaldo, Tevez and Rooney at the front but the results are still coming. Sit down, Shut up and let the best manager in the world do what he does best, after all that's why he's in charge and you and I aren't!

Your quick to jump on his back, while I disagree about Cleverly he is right that our midfield it is poor. Just compare it to past United teams and it would make you weep!

I just read that we had scouts at Porto's latest game. The report said they were looking at Jackson Martinez but I think they were looking at Rodriguez.
+ do you think we will still move for Rodriguez after signing Zaha?
Believable14

Buying a cheap option in Zaha would mean more could be spent elsewhere.
Sydney!

Yes, Rodriguez will be brought to replace Nani & Zaha has been bought as extra I think as he has so much potential.

Can see strootman coming in with nani out and probably another winger coming in with rodriguez most likely top of the wish list
Agree0

I thought Rodriguez played on the left?
Zaha as an eventual replacement for the declining Valencia. Then we will have Rodriquez with Young as back up for either wing/attack.
Sell Nani
Agree0

He does and I have no idea why people think zaha is the cheap option. Zaha plays right wing so don't see the connection. I prefer Munian or Reus any day to rodriguez, to me he might turn out like anderson, paying over the top for a guy who will not deliver the goods.
