Earlier I posted abou it seems barca/madrid send money men before end of season&get deal done while u don't see utd do it with the big signings, most agreed couple disagreed I wasn't sayin deals r easy,it jus doesn't seem Utd move that quick, they hav last couple of seasons but some things jus don't seem right, benzema we seemed to have watched&watched but nothing then Madrid jus step in put money up&we finally bid when Madrid deal all but done, david Silva watched&watched nothin done City jus stepped in,David Villa watched&watched nothin done, barca stepped in did deal, fergie said at first no bid then admitted bid,ye after barca nearly deal done!all I'm saying is let's start using our weight like barca/Madrid, money talks if its hazard,Martinez then get in push it! We know city panic&chase any utd target

Believable7 Unbelievable4

I think it depends on who your dealing with as to whether a deal can be done quickly and more importantly on the quite. Teams in Germany and Italy Haven't got the reputations of spending huge sums of money, where as english teams do tend to spend above the market price for players. As a result i think when an english club approaches a club about a player they tend to hold out for more money knowing we tend to pay it. They also tend to let it slip to the media to let other teams know and put pressure on us to offer more money to wrap up the deal meaning transfer negotiations for english clubs can be more drawn out in order to get a fairer price, maybe in the past spend over the odds wasn't such an issue as it is now. But either way i feel this is why we tend to have a harder job tying up deals quickly and quietly.

Its a point ive raised myself , are we really trying to sign these players and putting money on the table

Fergie will buy the players he feels are right at the right valuation, instead of spending ridiculously overpriced cheques on players that he doesnt think will last

"May 12 will be my last game for Dortmund and then I will start a new chapter in Manchester United," Kagawa told TV Osaka

Dortmund president Michael Zorc: "Shinji is going to play in England because he has officially rejected our offer of a new contract."

Told ya it would happen, it will be confirmed by United after the 12th May. Fantastic start to our summer overhaul.

Ozwald {Ed004's Note - Where is the proof Kagawa has said that?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Im not sure whether i should be happy or not because he is a good player but can he do it here also does this mean we will not get hazard or modric

Agree0 Disagree0

If he can do what he did for dortmund then i think we only need to sign hazard, martinez and a striker ( since owen and berbatov are leaving) and that'll do

Agree0 Disagree0

It has been tweeted apparantly by a rogue guy who sent up a twitter account, until i see proof in an interview i won't believe it.

BONEYJOE

Agree0 Disagree0

I've just read it on google, just type in shinji kagawa. If this is true then good start. Agree with the unnamed post next should be hazard/Lucas/Rodriguez, Martinez, and I might get slated but would Torres be worth a punt. The deadwood also should be gone but who would want these players with their high wages not many.

Its fake, tweeted by a fake account set up hours before, there is no deal to sign kagawa yet,he plays in rooneys position anyway.

Hey Ed, I saw somewhere about people saying we should use Nani in a swap deal for someone else. In my opinion, it could be a good move if we get someone good to replace him.
After reading it, I thought this could be a good enough idea, what do you think.

Sell:
Nani - Swap deal for Eden Hazard

Dimitar Berbatov - £10 million
He hasn't been playing recently and to the right buyer, we could get £10 million, or even more.

Michael Owen - £5 million +
We should get at least that for Owen.

Macheda - £5 million +
We should get at least £5 million for Macheda.

Bebe - £5 million
We should be able to get £5 million for Bebe

Total income: £25 million

Eden Hazard - £10 million + Nani
He would be Nani's replacement. We would save roughly £20 million, because to buy him with cash it would cost, probably, £32 million

James Rodriguez - £20 million
We could get him with the money we saved from swapping Nani for Hazard because it would have cost over £30 million to buy him for cash only. He would could play behind Rooney as an attacking midfielder.

Javi Martinez - £25 million
Hes a very versatile player, who can play centre back and defensive midfield. We could buy him from the money we get from the sales of Berbatov, Macheda, Owen and Bebe.

Emilio Izaguirre - £5 million
Since he is back up for Evra, we don't need to break the bank. Hes 25 years old, so theres still time for him to improve.

Total spent: £60 million
Minus sales: £35 million

Thats not a lot spent on three world class players. Would definetly improve the team and Izaguirre would be sufficient cover for Evra.

£5 million for owen... behave

Agree0 Disagree0

Gibson went for about 1m I think, Bebe won't get close to 5m, neither will Owen.

The prices suggested for the ins seem to be a bit wishful thinking as well I think.

TM

Agree0 Disagree0

Hazard AND Rodriguez?? Some of your accounting is a bit optimistic! ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

Dnt think Nani will prefer going to France so there goes your swap deal! and 5mil for owen haha! the best we can hope from your list is probably Rodriguez for 20 mil and get Martinez for 30mil + add ons which is very unlikely!
-BIGRed

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sure nani is worth more than 22m

Agree0 Disagree0

Owen and Bebe for 5 mil?
Martinez for 25 mil?
I don't think United will get any of these players sadly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ye good idea, swap someone who is a vital part of our team and proven in the prem league and in the champions league for two players who may not be able to adapt to the premier league, think I will stick with nani thanks

Agree0 Disagree0

Berbatov and Owen's contracts finish in the summer so united will get no money for either of them

Nani to lille? do you know anything about european football? seems not

summer transfers, who id like and which i see as realistic targets:

our "marquee" signing:
javi martinez 33M

other signings:
clyne 1-2Mcompensation
kagawa 7M-10M
Kovatic 1-2M compensation

(ed is kovatic on a free this summer?)

JK92

Believable18 Unbelievable1

What about a left back?

and i presume you mean Mateo Kovacic? then yes, compensation will be due if someone were to sign him

=v1=

Agree0 Disagree0

I forgot to put leftback on there, ideally we could do with izzaguirre/alba or cissokho.

JK92

Agree0 Disagree0

I will be more than happy. I know we need back for Evra(lost of his form can be back) but more than htat we need someone(big) who can give cover to back 4, hold and creat. Players should be played in their favoured possition, so that they can gain experience and develop. If we have Javi Martinez, than, watch how Players like Anderson, Cleverly, Pogba(if he stays) will flourish and giving cover and protection and confidence to our young Defence Smalling, Jones, Evans, even Rafael, future players like Tunnicliffe, will bring the best out of all of them. I can't say how much we miss someone in that position. Players like Martinez, Nuri Sahin( iguess he is not available).

Kagawa to TV Osaka '12th May will be last game for Dortmund and then I will start a new chapter in Manchester United.' Have not checked the validity of this but looks like he did say this to TV Osaka. So that is our first signing and a very good one at that! hmm now maybe we will announce our Pre-season tour to Japan.

Believable18 Unbelievable3

Hope so, won't believe it unless i see the clip though

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't know much about Kagawa.

Can anyone tell me whether he would get in the team at Real Madrid, Barcelona or Bayern Munich?

Is he good enough to dictate play and boss the game against these teams as well as Man City etc?

Views welcome. Thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Very good creative midfielder who works extremely hard. He scores a fair number of goals too! Also, he's helped Dortmund win the Bundesliga 2 seasons running (assuming they win it this season which looks likely). Apart from being a quality player, he will also be great for marketing in Asia being the face of football in Japan. Great signing!!

Agree0 Disagree0

He wouldnt get in at Real Madrid or Barcelona's current first team but he would definitely improve man s**tty's team. Think of him as an asian David Silva, very good on the ball, good in front of goal and has that little bit of trickery in him to get past players, sth we need in the centre of the park at the moment.

Thanks for the info and opinions. Sounds like just what we need.

Now we just have to wait to see if all the rumours are true or not.

Always seems that you hear of Barca or Madrid even Milan or Inter have sent there money men to whatever club to sort out a deal for certain players&most times its done deal before another club gets chance, but you never see it with Utd,iv heard Fergie in the past say oh we was a bit slow there!if Hazard or Martinez or whoever they want they know City always come try chasin after hearing Utd interest!it aint Fergie that should be in France watching Hazard as he must know everything abou him anyway it should be Gill over there gettin deal sorted&job done&thats with other targets also, they can't say it doesn't work like that caus as i said ur Barca,Madrid do it all the time,Gill says money no problem well let's see it then!

Believable15 Unbelievable1

Its that easy is it? i think not

Agree0 Disagree0

I beg to differ.
Vidic, Evra, Nani, Anderson, Smalling and Jones (and others) were all signed from under the noses of other interested teams...all deals done quickly and quietly.
Just because we haven't signed Hazard or Martinez, it doesnt mean we're not working on deals.
Season is still going all over Europe, clubs don't generally do deals until the season is over.
Lille and Bilbao will more than likely milk any intersest in either player and we'll see an auction develop...if this is the case, i doubt we'll sign any of them.
