Nice to see henriquez now publicised but I dont expect to see much of him in the first year unless he really sets the u21 league on fire. Heard very positive things about the lad (from scouts not you tube etc). Ps ed002 when the neymar type rumours come up do you put your answer in word so you can copy and paste or do you have a good wpm typing speed;-) I admire your patience. Bookedredmole

Right here's a thought,
Now im not saying i wish for this to happen but its a posability, when we signed Toni Real were very hot on his tail but he choose Man utd( because he a very sensiable lad) and if and its a massive if Ronaldo was to become aviable, is it crazy to think a swap with toni and cash? he wears the number 7 plays same position and is type of player that would do well in any league.
That to me is the most viable option, but please everyone take note, i dnt want to sell toni, he is amazing at what he does and atm is so valuable to us.
Just a thought, so who would be happy with that? toni to Real and Ronaldo back to us?

Would rather trade in Nani to have Ronny on the left (his favourite position) and keep Toni on the right. Best 2 wingers in the world. I'd be happy if we offloaded Nani to Zenit in the next couple of days if that money is used to bring in Ronny (or maybe even Neymar) in January or next summer.

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree but in truth valencia is worth more than nani, just thinking money wise it would cost us less £'s and u know what the glazers like.

Whse Toni

Agree0 Disagree0

Antonio valencia?

Agree1 Disagree0

Valenica (aka toni!) is a winger. Ronaldo is now very much a striker.

If we're living in dream world and most of us are on this website then the logic is to off load Nani and get Ronny back to partner RVP. Rooney will then replace Scholes in midfield which is surely the natural progression.

Valenica bombing done the right, Young (when on form) supplying the left, Rooney pulling the strings in the middle with Ronny and RVP up top. Now thats some spicy hot potatoes!

Agree0 Disagree0

More likely that Ronaldo will come back to UTD when his contract expires. Even if you swap Nani or Valencia. RM are likely to look for at least 60 million + IMO

Agree0 Disagree0

Ronny aint ever coming back!

the chilean has signed today not last week ed {Ed002's Note - He cannot have signed today the window is shut. The club have announced it today because he arrived in the UK and completed personal terms. The transfer paperwork was submitted to the FA two weeks ago when his work permit was granted.}

Believable8 Unbelievable1

I haven't seen anything of the Chilean football wise - can he play on the Left as well as up front? If not then I can't see him getting in ahead of RVP or Rooney, Welbeck may even be above him in the pecking order, I don't rate Hernandez but he can't be too happy about how things are going.

So it will be Capital Cup and FA Cup this season for Henriquez whilst he gets used to the play in England.

Maybe sell Rooney next season whilst we can still get money for him. I think he will decline in value playing second fiddle to RVP and also getting more and more injury prone and struggling to recover in good time.

Sween

Agree0 Disagree2

I really dont think Rooney should be sold and if anything his value should rise playing with RVP because he can set Rooney up for more goals than Welbeck would. All in all they should get the best out of eachother.

Dan

He's only 18 and won't be ready for the 1st team straight away. He'll likely get playing time for the reserves or on loan for a year or 2 IMO, with perhaps some games in lesser fixtures in the mean time

So no need to worry about him competing for a place with RVP et al just yet

Gav

Agree0 Disagree0

Sween, so Rooney gets stepped on and ends up with a gash in his leg now he's suddenly injury prone get a grip mate. Also Fergie has said he wants to play Rooney and RVP together so don't know where you get second fiddle from.

I hope he stays where he is on loan for a year or two, rushing these players out of South America rarely sems to go well.

MDJ

Agree0 Disagree0

This lad is not a lightweight which is the reason most south Americans cant make it in the PL. He looks about 25 with his physique and he will adapt quickly to English football IMO. He will play reserves and Cap cup for a year and may then be loaned out but I would almost guarantee he wont be loaned out this coming season.

Dan

Agree0 Disagree0

He's 18 so wont feature yet but has a good pyshique for his age, seems quite advanced like rooney was when he first emerged. Also he's a very good finisher, almost batistuta like.

Both Santos & Neymar's father have said that NO bid was made for Neymar, the Sun making up stories again (like the Moura 26m deal agreed).

Note to self, stop reading the papers.

The lucas deal was agreed, he just had to sign his contract, the P$G came in last minute and probably offered him double what we were...

Jake F {Ed002's Note - If you go back and read what I explained it the time the situation with Lucas is clear. Manchester United did not bid for Neymar. There was one cash bid and further bids looking at third party ownership and player exchanges.}

santos have made a statement saying no bid was made for neymar, just stupid press again with there made up stories to sell papers

I bet every club has been in contact about bidding. When clubs say no bid has been made they always mean formally in writing and it only usually gets to that after verbal discussions that have led to some sort of understanding on price. I bet we have verbally given a ball park bid value like most other top clubs in Europe.

Dan {Ed002's Note - No. I answered this earlier, there was only one cash bid made and then there were offers including players and third party ownership - nothing from Manchester.}

Hi Eds any truth in the rumour going around that we bid 38 million for Neymar on transfer deadline day? {Ed002's Note - No. There was one significant cash offer made for Neymar this summer and a couple of tyre kicking offers including players and part ownership.}

Believable3 Unbelievable18

Was United tyre kicking?

thanks Ed

Jonny8 {Ed002's Note - No.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks Ed, was hoping for that answer, to be honest.

was United ever tyre kicking any other time?
We were rumoured to have put half-hearted bids in for stars in the past.

Jonny8 {Ed002's Note - Not with Neymar to any great extent.}

The report in the sun is written by neil personis so its a load of old bollox its a smoke screen to go on about rooney leaving there is a massive section of the press that have always wanted to c us fail and discredit us at ever opportunity they love sturring things up and i for one would love to meet them and give them my thoughts on there jounalism by taking a big dump on there desk

Apparently we made a 38mil bid for Neymar on deadline day. Only paper talk, but still interesting as I thought he was destined for Spain, Madrid can have him if we can have ronnie back :p

Gpot7

Believable4 Unbelievable35

I'd rather Neymar

Agree0 Disagree6

You are right about one thing that if ronaldo did leave real and he wanted to go back to the premier league he would go to united but he is happy at real and won't come yet.
