Who here thinks Anderson will be fit for Sunday, it's a bit fishy that Anderson and Silva are both "Injured". Anderson's injury didn't even look too serious so maybe this was all a part of SAF's plan?

If he plays it will be a more positive part of our team.

Opinions?

If its a minor muscle tear it takes a minimum of 2 weeks to recover. Unlikely.

Mick

Agree0 Disagree0

Silva will be back but I don't think Ando will be.

Agree2 Disagree0

A sneaky feeling Vidic may start too.

Andy S

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes saf took him off in a game we were in danger of losing just to fool mancini,how daft can u b with just one head.
Mick the red fireman.

Agree0 Disagree0

No cleverley,anderson,valencia or vidic = no hope in hell of winning! im predicting a stuffing is on the cards as we have no midfield.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm pleased we dont have a midfield for this game, it will mean we dispense with the pointless passing back and forth in the middle. The only player with any injection this season has been Anderson and he wouldnt be played against City anyway, too much of a defensive liability.

Play it long for the boys up front to do the business, normally hate that style of play, but our tactics against city are always negative we need to bypass the pondorous midfield.

Sween

Agree0 Disagree0

He wouldn't get picked even if he was fit.The terrible performances of the rest of the midfield all season have obviously merited their inclusion ahead of him.

Ed have you got any info on the Fernandinho comments? Would love a bit of Brazilian influence in the centre of the park - he controls that Shakhtar midfield so well and completly dominated Chelsea along with Willian.

Fresh! {Ed002's Note - Normally it is only Liverpool supporters who are gullible enough to be taken in by such things from, I assume, Twitter or whatever.}

Believable10 Unbelievable2

.com ed02.....

that is where the story has been published.... {Ed002's Note - So who are you going to believe, www.gulliblefairytalestosuckinnaivesoccerfans.com or me?}

Agree0 Disagree0

It's on the United website speculation column. Course that doesn't make it any less reliable! Got any info at all on the matter eds?

Luke {Ed002's Note - I understand this is where everyone else shouts "suckers".}

We arent anywhere near shaktars quality at the minute,why would he leave during such a good champions league campaign,its just made up crap.
Mick the red fireman.

Agree0 Disagree0

And Chelsea fans !

Agree0 Disagree0

Fernandinho is average at best. Why would we want him? Papers filling space is all it is. Typical Fresh!

What's the deal with Sterling?

Do we have any interest in him 002? And when does his contract run out, as I think that is the only chance he will sign for us as Liverpool will not sell to us.

Gotta be a better option than Ince surely? Not so sure about Zaha though, rarely impresses when I see him. Also one last thing is there any real interest in Tello? Could also be a good option to replace Nani.

RED_LAD {Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest from Manchester United. Sterlings contract runs a while yet but it is not a long-term pro contract because he cannot sign one before he is 18 (any day now). I have no doubt that Liverpool will make an offer and expect that he would agree to it. Barcelona have no immediate plans for the player under the new manager and whilst the player is keen not to sign a contract before he knows where he stands, I understand that he has an offer on the table which assures him that he will not be left in the B squad. That may be enough for him to sign. General enquiries about the player's availability were made over the summer by Porto, Seville, Malaga and Liverpool. Discussions about loans of one type or another were raised by Valencia, Ajax and Atletico Madrid. I also understand that Benfica made a proposal to Barcelona - but I don't know what it is. I would hazard a guess that it related to Barcelona's interest in Nelson Oliveira.}

Thanks for the info, much appreciated 002.

Due to rivalry I really can't see him in a Manchester United shirt.... a City shirt perhaps?

He does have the potential to be a top, top player

Another crappy midfield performance we lacked creativity. SAF pls stop using those our old legends they usually cost us our matches, saw POGBA tonight and i wept we lost a good player in him. Maybe its time to try our U21 teams midfield am fed up of wat i see. Do u people feel the same way. MOGUL

Pogba has gone. Get over it.

Could not agree more onli nick powell looked decent in there tonight i am worried about sunday cos the mibfield will be carrick fletcher scholes which means no pace lots off sideways passing we are going to get mullered very sad how bad we have got

Agree1 Disagree1

Agree totally. It was very sad to see an average but energetic team overrun us and not have the wherewithal to turn it around. I thought Giggs and Scholes looked what they are not what they would want to be.

Agree2 Disagree0

Get over it - we had already qualified and put out a team made up of younger players such as Wooton and Powell so they get first team experience and players like Jones and Smalling who are still regaining match fitness.

Agree1 Disagree2

Relax man... it was a performance that didnt matter. But of course, they should do better. But still, the old legend Scholes, was the only man on the field that cared (when he got yellow carded in the end of the match).. and that is more frightening!

Steffen

Agree0 Disagree1

I agree with u im sick of seeing our midfield over run in ever game if we had a world class defensive and central midfielder we wud b a match for any 1 im sick of seeeing us been linked to forwards

i agree with paul pogba i was saying to myself last season dont bring back lengend scholes use pogba but he didnt such a shame hes gonna be a top player in a bad league

Agree1 Disagree0

I most certainly do feel the same way. The problem is our 1st choice midfield is still lacking by the standards required to do well in Europe and our Home league.That said the second string are not going to do any better.Midfield needs an overhaul big style.I for one would love to see Fellani and Eriksen both mobile and good with the ball.

Agree0 Disagree1

The one bonus from last nights match is that Cleverly picked up an injury ...the lad is absolutely no where near Utd class

Bilko

Agree2 Disagree5

Alot of the problem is also down to tactics as we continue to stick with a rigid 4-4-2 rather then adapting to a 4-3-3 or a 4-5-1 to compensate for our average midfielders. take last night for example, a good time to try a new formation with the players on the pitch but what does the boss do? stick powell on left wing, rooney right wing and has a two man midfield then all we do is lump hopeless balls into the box and concede possession or look for aimless balls over the top.

Yes our midfielders are rubbish but they are even worse in the current tactics. what happened to the europen games or the big games when we used to play a extra man in the middle so we could control the game instead of conceding posession all the time.

tactallyinept

Agree0 Disagree0

Agreed. It was worrying that all we did was lump balls in the box. No spark. Rooney quiet. Hope we improve for the derby

Agree0 Disagree1

Once apon a time even are b team would have this Romainan team to the sword. My how times have changed! I hear people saying dont worry we already qualified but for me r midfield is poor even at full strenght! Time for fergie to address this situation or Let the Special one take over the rains at OT!

@Bilko You are happy that a United player got injured? Shows what kind of wannabe fan you are.

And could people stop the love in for Pogba? Did people actually see him for our reserves in his last season at United? He was unmotivated and constantly outperformed by Lingard and Petrucci. I am pretty sure that his transfer to Juventus was done a lot earlier than reported.

The way he played for our reserves looked like his head was already somewhere else.

The only talent we really miss is Ravel Morrison. Pogba was just greedy.

Agree0 Disagree1

For everyone saying relax the game did not mean anything is absurd. Financially it has cost us and getting beaten by Cluj at old trafford is not acceptable.

A lot of teams who had already qualified did squad rotation RM, Barcelona, Dortmund, Bayern but they were still by far the better teams. The difference is our squad is poor and when SAF rotates players in and out we are a ghost of a team.

Shahram

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont agree that our reserves are poor its playing them out of position and putting square peggs in round holes to play our same old formation.
