looks like Turan has gone to barca, another one off the list

06 Jul 2015 21:29:03
Good. We didn't need him anyway.

06 Jul 2015 21:46:49
He is the sort of player we could do with especially with adm possibly going to be outhe for a bit.
I am really uncomfortable with what is happening at Barca. Whether I agree with the ban or not this loophole just feels wrong and is surely 2 fingers up to the authorities!

Agree3 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 21:54:31
We just need a striker in that attacking part of our team. He was probably never in the list. Can't be going after every available player.

06 Jul 2015 22:13:12
On a side note, how much of a joke is barca's transfer 'ban'

Agree9 Disagree1

06 Jul 2015 22:20:33
He'd have been a useful squad player!

Agree0 Disagree2

06 Jul 2015 23:04:03
A useful squad player for € 41 million ?

Agree3 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 23:34:54
Bilko noone wanted him on here apparently

Agree3 Disagree0

07 Jul 2015 00:36:46
very good player but do we need him

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2015 01:36:56
What list was he on? Certainly wasn't on mine.

Agree2 Disagree1

07 Jul 2015 04:39:54
I just can't believe that Barca have signed more players than us so far and they're on a 'transfer ban'

Agree2 Disagree0

07 Jul 2015 10:23:06
Good he's crap anyway. Attitude stinks.

Agree0 Disagree0

07 Jul 2015 10:46:40
Anybody that wants to announce their transfer on twitter, we should steer well clear of!!!

06 Jul 2015 19:50:29
someone to do with Southampton has an apartment in Murcia Spain, and is the son of John deehan former villa player and he says sniderlin (spelling) is a done deal.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

06 Jul 2015 20:37:21
One offer from Man Utd-£20m, turned down and nothing since.

Morgan off to Austria tomorrow for pre season training with Saints-some done deal.

(Don't believe me, see RoKo press conference this pm.)

Agree1 Disagree4

06 Jul 2015 20:50:00
The fact koeman is talking about it says everything Saint, he wants the deal done, matter of time.

06 Jul 2015 20:51:18
Luke Shaw again! Bury your head in the sand

06 Jul 2015 21:11:10
You must read slightly different to me " the player wants to leave" " we will see what happens" and " I don't know about price. 25 million" take that how you want but i'd say he's on his way pal

Agree3 Disagree0

07 Jul 2015 18:09:59
Absolutely deluded! The player wants to leave-yes. The club are willing to allow him to leave-yes. The price has moved (ACCORDING TO THE MEDIA) from £15m (Arsenal media) to £20m then £25m now £30m (Utd. media).
He will leave if the club receive an acceptable offer. RoKo said over a week ago the Utd. offer was not serious (£20m) and it was then speculated £25m was wanted. Media yesterday were suggesting to RoKo that £25m was wanted and he made it plain that was incorrect.
He will be on his way if Saints valuation is met AND he wants to move to that club. Utd have a problem in both respects at the moment. Saints have no reason to go for a quick sale at a knock down price.

Shaw for £30m+. If you know anything about Morgan as a player, would Saints not be expecting more for him??

Agree0 Disagree1

07 Jul 2015 19:14:56
Every player has his price and we have experience as a club of selling players. Last season we sold some players and if there is interest in Morgan then ok. But it has to be at the price the club wants, he is one of the key players in our team and an international player, and I don't think that this is a problem for Manchester United. Ronald koeman!!! And you call me deluded!

Saw a rumour today that we are in for Darmian, a young RB from Torino. Never heard if him personally but the manager/director (not sure who) said he will be leaving to an unnamed club

Bit of news . Garay is on his way to valencia clearing the path for otamendi to ourselves

Or to someone else but fingers crossed

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 19:23:07
Has anyone watched him properly? If so, is he good? If only watched him once, on Saturday and he wasn't anything special, but I won't judge after one game, especially a defender.

Agree2 Disagree2

06 Jul 2015 21:05:45
To be fair hawkleyhallred, he had Demichelis beside him, and on many occasions he had to cover for him. Playing againsts Sanchez in the Premier League is one thing, against him for Chile however is completely different. He's like a completely different player, and if he played like that week in week out he'd be seen as one of the best in the world.

Otamendi had an outstanding season, I started paying more attention to Valencia when his name was being talked about more often around November/December. He's pacey, strong in the tackle and determined to win everything he has the slightest chance of winning, and usually does.

His distribution could be better, he sometimes tries what I like to call a "Strikers Pass", which would be for instance a flick or a "highly-unlikely to succeed, but mesmorising if it comes off" type of pass, and he has lost the ball numerous times because of it. I wonder whether he was a striker or a winger in his youth days. If he could cut them out and play a simple pass every time, he would be perfect.

He isn't the tallest of defenders, but he wins every header with his determination, strength and power. From corners he reminds me of Vidic, where he would just throw himself at the ball, couldn't care less if he was putting his life at risk.

All in all, very very good defender, puts everything he has into every game he plays, never slacking, and is an absolute psychopath. Think of Jaap Stam but smaller.

If we sign Otamendi or Ramos i'll be just as happy with either.

06 Jul 2015 22:40:38
Sounds good then. And defenders generally peak around 27-32 so time to improve. I would like to see rojo given a chance at cb with him against the weaker teams if we do buy him, think they would form a good understanding. Plus they both get stuck in!

Spoke to an agent (family freind) this afternoon and he told me 3 signings coming in this week - but didn't say who .

Believable5 Unbelievable13

06 Jul 2015 17:40:56
I saw Samuel L Jackson in la tasca the other week, well if it wasn't him it was a real good lookalike.

Agree5 Disagree1

06 Jul 2015 17:41:06
2 deals in a week is a lot tbh, I'd be happy with 1. Don't suppose you could give us a bit of info on this agent? Who he represents or something along those lines?

Agree2 Disagree1

06 Jul 2015 18:20:45
Welsh devil- that's great news but we are not in for him and anyway he is sh## at soccer .
Redandy - he works for Bahia sports agents who are mainly Spanish based players. let's see

I'm just messing around bfro, I imagine he'd be a great half time team talker tho. Hopefully you are right and kudos for sticking your neck out and divulging a bit of info on your source. If it's 3 I'd say Otamendi, fabinho and Schneiderlin.

Agree1 Disagree2

06 Jul 2015 19:24:29
I'd say Depay, Schneiderlin and Otamendi.

06 Jul 2015 16:43:53
I did say yesterday that UTD & Soton had agreed a 24.5 mill deal for schneiderlin yesterday and look what's happened today.

No schneiderlin in training at Soton as he is ill lol. Anyone check Our medical centre yet.

06 Jul 2015 17:07:39
Seems like it's false and he isn't ill. Even if he was ill he could have attended the team meetings.

06 Jul 2015 17:13:09
Or you know. Could genuinely be ill?

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 17:24:18
Is this just how he was not mentally prepared or feeling well enough last year when Tottenham came for him? I think Koeman is ready to sell and it'll go through soon.

Agree2 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 17:28:28
Koeman literally just said that Schneiderlin is travelling with the rest of the squad to Austria for pre-season.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 14:52:55
Koeman on Schneiderlin: "Two weeks ago we had a bid from MUFC and it wasn't enough. There's been no more bids." Does that mean we are not going to go for him? Surely we wouldve gone back in with a new bid by now.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

06 Jul 2015 15:35:08
Apparently he's said no more bids until today, so looks like we've gone back in for him.

Agree0 Disagree1

06 Jul 2015 15:38:00
Mark bosnich says the deals done don't know how reliable he is tho I would imagine being an ex player I would imagine he would have some sort of inside knowledge within the club hfully a point I would like to make tho is what is it with x pundits and foreign managers like domanesch saying we are not a big club anymore were behind Chelsea man City and arsenal aye nae bother pal bet you wouldn't say no if you got offered the job to manage us someday u wld probably say we were the biggest in the world then some people are so deluded because we have had a cpl of bad seasons well be back like we always do ruling the roost again because we are the biggest and best team on the planet GLORY GLORY MAN UTD

Agree1 Disagree1

06 Jul 2015 15:50:47
Domenech was just saying the top 3 are ahead of United, pool and spurs at this time more than likely.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 16:04:08
Domenech is regarded as a joke in France and he actually encouraged Scheiderlin to move to United. But added that it was a step to a Top Club.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 16:44:26
Well hopefully there is some movement behind closed doors. Nani gone . Henriquez. gone . Rafeal being hawked around. Van gaal is either a big gambler , or he knows who is comming in already , he,s keeping his cards very close to his chest. Come on Louis share some info with the people who pay your wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 17:10:18
I really like he's holding the cards close to his chest as it allows sh!t clubs like man city to stop circling around our actual targets and paying them loads of money.

Agree3 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 17:26:31
Oh Rock, I'm sure he is sharing some info with the people who pay his wage. The Glazers.

Agree1 Disagree0

06 Jul 2015 18:30:02
Ok databass . the glaziers do pay his wages. But who lines their pockets. Season tickets . Shirt sales . Match programmes . manutd beer. manutd crisps . so on and so on.
