Sanchez deal is still 50/50 at moment between us and Barcelona as i said before player would join both clubs but would choose us because he is utd fan.

Personally I'd hate to see de rossi at united, over priced, not getting any younger and played in italy all his career were you have all the time in the world on the ball. Much rather go for rodwell who can become a world class player for years to come.

I'm hearing from a reliable source that Jack Rodwell is close to becoming a Manchester United player, I have no idea on the fee though sorry. The same source also advised that the inevitable transfer of Ashley Young is close to being announced.

With this in mind - my opinion of United's tranfer activity may look like this:

De Gea, Young, Rodwell, Varane & 1 of Sneijder, Modric or Nasri.

utd are thought by bookies to be buying, sneijder- sanchez, young and rodwell. they head the list of odds on all four players on sky bet, and bookies only act on solid evidence, usually coming out of the clubs themselves, could be a great summer. . .

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Luka Modric has no plans to leave the club this summer.

The Croatian has been heavily linked with a move to Manchester United this summer after a superb season for Harry Redknapp's side.

But despite missing out on the Champions League, Modric doesn't have eyes on leave Spurs.

"I am happy and enjoying it here. The fans are amazing, the club is amazing, My fellow Croatians are here I am not missing anything, " he said.



"I think this club can achieve a lot of great things, I think we can fight for trophies, the EPL or cups. Like I said, I am happy here and not thinking about anything else."

It will be hard because being in the Champions League for the first time, we did a great job and played some great games against big teams, " he added.

"We enjoyed it, but we didn't manage to qualify and it is going to be hard watching on television next season. We need to prepare and try again for the fourth spot, maybe third or second I don't know."

Rumours surfacing around Emirates that God Arsene is looking into the possibilities of a player plus cash for Nasri. The feeling is that Nasri wants away to United and as he is in the last season of his current contract the price isn't going to be bank breaking to prize him away. With that in mind arsene is trying to get the most out of a deal and sees cash and a player as a better option as we all know he doesn't like to flash the cash. The player been suggested from the Arsenal end is Berbatov as Arsene thinks he can get around £15 million and the player in exchange for Nasri. This gives him money towards Eden Hazard as well as another striker to bolster our forward line-up which was proven last year not to be of a depth required to challenge for trophies.

Heard today that Rangers boss Ally McCoist was interested in signing Mexican striker Eric Torres. Sir Alex is also interested and his staff are to meet up with members of Rangers board to discuss possible transfer loan deans. Due to good relations between Sir Alex and Rangers, it was proposed that Man Utd will sign the 18/19 year old and loan him out to Rangers until the end of next season.

Heard this from a pretty good source but im not making any promises or whatever, im only passing on the word:)

Young's meeting with Randy Lerner will mean either 1 of 2 things

1) Getting assurances about the direction of the club in terms of the next manager and also any big 'signings' which will further the direction of the club to compete for Champions League Football. As well as signing a bumper new contract (Similar to the Rooney situation)

i.e. Staying

OR

2) Not securing any ambitious promises and handing in a transfer request

i.e. Leaving to a higher place team, maybe us, maybe liverpool, who know at the moment

I don't have a source as such, just what I have heard from a journo. He does not work as a sports journalist, but he knows a few. .

Basically Utd are in the process of sorting out a deal for Modric which involves Berbatov going in the opposite direction with around £16M. Utd have also agreed not to block/interfere in Shawcross going to Spurs, as we have first refusal. Only sticking point is the Berbatov doesn't want to go! !

I've heard that Manchester United could be getting Alexis Sanchez after all. Barcelona were the favourites to sign him but it now appears he is reluctant to go there because he is worried he won't play enough.

ed, do you know anything more about this? Do you think Sanchez will be at Old Trafford next season? {Ed007's Note - It doesn't look like it, teams have declared their interest but that isn't the way Utd go about things. I think his demands might be too high and Sanchez himself has said Barcelona would be "a splendid destination".}

They cannot secure the refinanced PIKs against our club without us knowing about it. They would have to inform the Bond holders and companies House. The only way the refinanced PIKs can affect our club is if the Glazers take out dividends to pay for the debt. But they can take dividends regardless of this debt, it's their entitlement. Just like it's Kroenke's entitlement to take dividends from Arsenal like he's been doing for years.

I'm going to get all transfer-muppet now but. . If we are genuinely in the market for a £30m-ish centre midfielder then couldn't Fergie slap that down on Wenger's desk and test his resolve for Wilshere? Very unlikely i know, but Wenger has a history of selling players for big fees when he can. After all. . you don't ask, you don't get.

if fabregas stays at arsenal then we will have a chance(depends on wenger's decision)

There may be an element of truth in your conclusion nasri's departure will depend on Fabregas but i doubt it will come doen to Wengers decision. If Nasri doesn't sign a new deal then Arsenal will be forced to sell. They cannot risk Nasri leaving on a free transfer. If Utd bid 15-20mill then they will accept the offer. If the contract talks breakdown then Utd won't be the only team in the running. Personally it smells of a repeat of the Rooney saga i.e agent driven for more cash

SAF spoke about three targets. First one we know is De Gea. The other two, not suprising, will probably be Young and Modric. I dnt see Sjneider comin to United, and Sanchez or Nasri wud be a bonus. .I just hope that the window doesn't disappoint us the way it has over the last two seasons. .

Ed or anyone, is there any kind of interest in nasri? he seems to want to come so i think fergies view is the only thing in the way? thoughts? {Ed007's Note - If the player wants to move to OT I think there is a real chance of it happening. AF wouldn't turn down the chance to sign him IMO unless he has someone else lined up}
