Ok i'll accept the slap on the wrist for my facetious 60/70m transfer budget, I'd like to know who Ed002 thinks may be sold please.

Second question please, was there ever any truth in the much touted, for a week or so, of Nike funding a Ronaldo bid or as so often was it just paper talk? Seems to have gone very quiet on that rumour.

{Ed002's Note - I really don't want to get in to providing lists of players who I think may be sold. As for Nike buying Ronaldo, as I have explained - if a player has third-party ownership he cannot play in the EPL. I think it unlikely that a sponsor would give such additional funding to the club to buy a player with a 100M euro release clause and whatever wages he would cost. If they were doing that they would want exclusive rights and continual access - you could easily end up with the joke of a situation that PSG find themselves in with Beckham and very significant disruption to the club.}

Thanks for the answer and I totally accept, with hindsight, how it may be inappropriate for you to comment on players out.

Is Ed002 Alex Ferguson?

I don't think that the proposal is Nike buying Ronaldo, Cheverolet and Nike I think would loan us the funds / take a lot of the merchandise profits that he makes.

Nike will inevitably benefit financially. Accountants are clever people I'm sure there would be a way for sponsorship financing to benefit both club and sponsor. There was talk that He would become GMs global ambassador and that they would pay a chunk of his wages.

Not rocket science to think that we will try to sell Nani, Anderson and possibly Rooney. Whether such sales come off is more problematic.
