Not long left now guys. Ideally I'd like to keep pogba, reluctantly sell martial, bring in pulisic sell jones / rojo / darmian and bring in Toby and sandro. 3/4 out 3 in. What do you guys think?

Wishful thinking Deano5, in the history of late transfers at Utd I can only really remember last minute signings being one offs.
E. g. Berbatov, Rooney, Fellaini, Falcao.
Not in groups like you suggest. I reckon It’s hard enough to get one deal done in a day or so, let alone bringing in pulisic, Toby and Sandro while shipping off martial, Jones, Rojo and Darmian.
Ed and his team haven’t managed this number in the window so far, what makes you think it will all happen in 2.5 days? I like your thinking in terms of players but personally I am not optimistic.

First time poster enjoy the site good banter.
Like to talk about transfers I don't understand why we haven't bought a LB I can't go through another season of watching Ashley young running down the left only to cut in on his right to cross its so predictable .
We should be going for Alex Sandro a natural left back who can stretch the play I thinks it's the most important transfer we should have done.
If we go for a CB it has to be Toby and we should be play 3 at the back if we get him a 3 of Toby bailly
and lindelof would do just fine.
I don't agree we need a RW why are we not playing Sanchez there he played there for Barcelona so why can't he do it for us in order to accommodate either rashford or martial on the left.

Agree with everything you say. I have no idea why sanchez could not have played from right since joining, played for both Barcelona and udinese regularly there, I have been screaming for this since Jan, maybe Tony m would be a bit happier also.

It's ridiculous that he wouldn't at least try it for a few games its got to be better than playing mata or lingard neither of whom are anywhere near what we need for the right.
I'm afraid it's gonae much of the same for this year and if that is to be the case then we need to
seriously need to ask questions of the manager.

Actuality is a CB (hopefully Toby) and maybe a RW.

It's getting late in the window but if Pogba does leave in the coming days would anyone take Ramsey as his replacement?

I'm not saying it will happen, just trying to draw names who could replace PP if he leaves.

Last season Ramsey scored more goals, same assists per minute, less shots per goal, more on target, same passing accuracy, less cards. He basically does what we employ Pogba to do but a bit better in a weaker team (! ) .

Probably be available for a reasonable price with 1 year remaining on his contract and would take up half of the wages that Pogba does.

Would anyone else take Ramsey or offer up any other names we've not already been linked with?

I presume you mean Eriksen? They want £60m for a defender in the last year of his contract, I imagine Levy would want £250m for Eriksen, no thanks.

Bolger - iirc we were favourites to sign Eriksen around the time he was breaking through at Ajax but SAF thought he was too slow for the Premier League. I seem to remember us playing Ajax at the time and he did stand out.

He's a great player to watch on his day.

Pogba is better than all of them. There is nobody we could realistically sign who will be anywhere near as capable as Pogba. Disaster if we sell him.

he does have the ability to be one of the best, but he doesn't have the work rate to fulfill this.

if we are honest with ourselves he hasn't done anything to warrent the fee we paid.

if players don't want to play for us then just get rid.

If we sell him we will regret it. I reckon Pogba absolutely does want to play for Utd, he doesn't get used to his strength and doesn't like Mourinho - a very common occurence it would seem. The boy has immense talent, he has ego and he bossed the World Cup with France. Whoever replaces Moirinho (when he inevitably gets the sack) will want Pogba in their team!

Pogba has been played in a midfield two and played very well, and then in a three (his preferred position if his large agent is to be believed) and he has flattered to deceive.

I don’t buy into this whole Mourinho doesn’t get the best out of him nonsense. Midfielders should be able to play with tactical discipline and still express themselves. He hasn’t really done that since he’s returned, definitely not at the level FIFA players seem to think he is capable of. I don’t particularly like my manager, but I still have a job to do and I like the company I work for, therefore I do it to the best of my ability. PS I’m not getting paid 300k per week for it.

So regardless of ‘unfinished business’ at United for him, and taking misplaced romanticism out of the equation, he has been a disappointment and done little to show he is capable of performing week in, week out in the premier League. He has bags of ability but I’m not sure he has the mentality to really make a difference at our club. Give me SMS, Pjanic, Modric over him any day of the week.
