People are gettin' a little over excited about this Ganso comment, just remember that there are 19 other teams in the premier league with atleast 5 of them in with a should of getting him;
us, Chelsea, Liverpool, Spurs, City and Arsenal. you could even include Sunderland in that seeing as they have a knack for signing relatively big players.

I don't want or don't think we need Ganso, Pastore, etc i simply think we should move for a Lee Cattermole type player, obviously not him though, he's more Injury prone than our beloved Hargreaves! But to be fair i can't think of too many good CDM who won't cost a bundle and who aren't over-rated (AKA Rodwell), Lee Cattermole was the best one i could of, shame about his injury problems he's one of the best CDM in the league when he's fit imo! well he was quality and Wigan!

The Moon {Ed001's Note - I did suggest Gago, but he might come into the injury-prone category unfortunately.}

Ganso: "I would like to succeed in England where the soccer is faster, I would fit in well there."

Van Der Sar may still take a rolling contract although it's very unlikely.

Raul rejected United in the summer.

{Ed002's Note - Ganso remains a tartget for AC Milan, and I suspect Inter Milan and others. Chelsea may well of been turned off by his recent bahaviour and switched their attention back to Neymar. The right offer could tempt Santos.}

I was sure Spurs were the only English team actually offering Raul terms?

United to make move for robben

Be a great signing except. . . . . . . . . he's injury prone word class when he's fit. Man Utd should have got him and van der vaart as part of the Ronaldo deal.

Ed what do you think {Ed001's Note - he spends far too long injured or pretending to be injured for my liking, especially for the huge wages he gets.}

Ganso: "I would like to succeed in England where the soccer is faster, I would fit in well there."

Also, I make the list of CAMs we've been linked with as:

Ganso
Pastore
Sabin
Goetze
That Japanese Youngster?
Modric
Sneijder
Young (Debatable- don't rate him)
Adam

Have I missed anyone? Fancy doing an article on who we should buy in the summer. If you have a twitter account leave that by any of your comments (tweet size- 140 characters) and I will include the best ones in the article with a link to your twitter. Your thoughts?

"{Ed002's Note - I don't know what has been said by Sky, but as I said yesterday, there has been interest in Pastore from a number of clubs for some time, including both Chelsea and Manchester United. However, Juventus has emerged as a serious contender and it seems likely that they will offer 20m in cash plus Raffaelle Palladino, Sebastian Giovinco and Amauri in exchange, on loan or in part-ownership as part of the deal. Remember that Palermo has a wealthy and ambitious owner and he has no pressing need to sell. At the moment, I think Pastore staying at the club for another year has the edge over a move to Juventus which has the edge over a move to Manchester United which has the edge over a move to Chelsea. But it remains perfectly possible that he will be making a move as well.}"

Sky have added "his agent is apparently in England negotiating a deal" to the original rumour we saw.

I mean 2+2=22 and could SAF be referring to Pastore when he said he was making a signing in January and the parties were not ready to sell and he left it for the summer ed?

REDFAITH

{Ed002's Note - It seems unlikely that Sir Alex was referring to Pastore, but you never know. As for his agent being in England, perhaps he is but he cannot negotiate a deal until Palermo agree. And Pelermo have an owner who is ambitious for the club and I would have thought would want to keep hold of Pastore for another year if he could. At the end of the day, he is an undoubted talent and one who could serve Manchester United well for years to come.}

Ed are you surprised that even Sky Sports have got in on the presumable lazy journalism on Pastore?

Mate have you considered what a massive PR own goal it will be if Edwin was to sign a new contract after declaring he is retiring? It will be simply like saying openly to the fans "we have no money and we will not spend". I don't believe there is any truth in this whatsoever. If we were so desperate for him to sign on for another year he would have been tied up behind doors and told not to announce any retirement etc. but he has done so with the club confirming it. The origins of this rumour have come after an emotional blog appeared on the United website after Edwin's heroics against Wigan saying "Join my Edwin campaign".

Scholes is being asked to sign a new contract. I know this for a fact. But what i have been told is that he is leaning towards retirement and SAF has started his search for new midfielders to replace him and Hargreaves.

Carlton cole? If we were to buy strikers we should be going for better quality players. I think we should get rid of berbatov and rooney. By doing this we could buy llorente who is alot better than berbatov. I think we should get benzema in swap for rooney plus cash. He just doesn't look the same player anymore. I really hope this summer the midfield gets strengthned. Our midfield is not the best in the league never mind good enough to win the champions league. Love to hear from other united fans or eds about this.
