Its rumoured that carvalho asking price is lowered by the club, I remember Ed said we have strong interest if price comes down.
Now how is the development with carvalho?? We definatly need midfielder to create balance squad and he seems cool head as carrik but physically power house.
Ed please share some thoughts.

{Ed002's Note - The club remain interested but there are other options which I rather suspect LVG will be more interested in initially. Like most clubs, over recent weeks and the coming weeks scouts from many EPL sides have been building up their frequent flyer miles catching games. Even U21 games - I know that an Arsenal scout from France is at the game in Aldershot this evening. I should also say that Arsenal have also maintained an interest in Carvalho, but again I suspect other players will be looked to first.}

Could you share the other names that we still retain an interest in? It's only Gundogan that we've been linked with recently and that's gone quiet.

Thanks

@panebello

The editor has mentioned that we have an interest in Gundogan, Vidal, Nainggolan, Strootman (less likely due to injury) for the midfield positions.

Which was about two months ago if not more, I'm certain things have changed since then.

Ed: I did a search but didn't find anything recent. Do you know of William Carvalho moving this summer and if so, who looks most likely. He seems most heavily linked with Arsenal but wthink he could be great signing for us. Has our interest waned since Moyes departure?

{Ed002's Note - Carvalho remains a player that both Arsenal and Manchester United are interested in and his situation remains the same. He is for sale, but the asking price would need to come down to make any move possible. The clubs have alternatives.}

First time posting here, would like to thank the eds for their time and effort.

I was wondering who we have interest in as a striker? With 002 saying that RVP might leave and the whole Falcao situation up in the air as to whether he stays.

Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - Santos' Gabriel Barbosa continues to be of interest to Chelsea, Fiorentina and Manchester United. However, much is expected of him and there is an agreement between Santos and Barcelona that will be exercised in 2016 if he does not move beforehand - if he does I don't think it will be to Manchester. Do not be surprised by a bid for Benzema. Cavani is being offered around the clubs who have previously shown an interest. Surprisingly, rumours of Manchester United and Manchester City interest in Danny Ings are true. Kenedy remains of interest and if a deal can be done he would likely go on loan. Interest in Bakkali has gone completely. Mandzukic will be sold this summer as Atletico look to fund a bid for Cavani. Manchester City see Mandzukic as a replacement for Dzeko and it is a solution that suits all. "Apparently" (an agent's "apparently"), Manchester United and Arsenal remain interested. Maybe not.}

Any news on Benteke? No interest from us?

Out of all the strikers mentioned in the press I'd take Mandzukic or Higuain.

Didn't think I'd get a reply lol.

{Ed007's Note - Your answer to your undirected question is already in Ed002's answer, whether you choose to see it or not is a different matter.}

Why does bentekes name come up so much he's not united quality and would be a total waste of money.

Brilliant signing IMO. I feel he has the potential to become a real special talent for MU and I look forward to seeing him in the EPL as a whole. Couldn't be more thrilled despite him being ANOTHER left sided player.

Hi Guys

I'm not sure how reliable this is but I've just read reports from Holland saying that we have agreed a price for Depay and Phillip Cocu has told his players that Depay is coming to us.
As I say not sure how reliable this is I just thought I would pass it on.
