Sorry for the Exciting yet incorrect post ( Sorry my bad ) . I again had a chat with the friend who was suppose to plan a trip for the Qatari Billionaires , and the person said that they had made a bid for Manchester United and it has been rejected , so they wont be travelling . I am sorry about the whole post .

Rubbish it was never even going to happen never mind a bid, you would not usually put a offer in of over 1billion and do this over the phone. Both owner and prospective buyers would normally sit down and discuss. You talking utter rubbish sorry.

I agree all it is, is that people can't just be happy with what we have got. We are Manchester United we have become to much of a high value sports operation that it's very very hard to takeover because of the value of the club..

Hi Guys
I have to admit that I was one who wanted WS to sign in the last window and IMO there was real interest from both sides. So it disappoints me that he now feels the need to come out with the comments that he has recently. If he wasn't interested in us and loves Inter that much why did it take him until 20 minutes before the window shut to tweet that he was staying.
I have to say my stance has changed. You had your chance Wesley my old son and your greed blew it.So now I think we should move on forget about you know who and get behind the lads and cheer them on to title number 20.

"United? I would have liked to [join them]. It would be crazy to suggest otherwise," Sneijder was quoted as saying by the Corriere dello Sport.

"There was a moment when I was close to United, but in the end nothing happened.

"However, I am happy in Milan as the president [Massimo Moratti] did not want to sell me."

"Inter gave me a chance when the door was closed. I feel at home here and I never wanted to go.

"I don't know why my move to Manchester United never materialised, maybe they never really wanted me."

i think his lost it , in the same interview he says i would of liked to join united, but that he never wanted to go

United wanted him and he wanted to come but we just couldn't get the details done so we moved on.
It's a shame would have loved him at our club, but there it is.

I'm sick of people saying WS is greedy. There's no factual evidence to prove the deal stalled over his wages just press nonsense! He's not a greedy player, it was the clubs who couldn't reach a decision. Stop tarring him with this brush please!

It means he wasnt pushing for a move out of Inter, but a move to United would've interested him

Right, I know everyone is getting annoyed with this Sneijder saga. After the transfer window he said it was on but cause of the finance, it didn't go through. Then he said something could happen in January. Next Fergie say's that he is not the right player for United (which is true) and now Sneijder has just said that he never wanted to join United.

From BBC Sportsday Live: "Wesley Sneijder tells Dutch magazine Nusport he never wanted to leave Inter Milan to join Manchester United and is happy in Italy."

Sneijder has no idea what he wants to do, in my opinion, he is not worth the money he wants for wages and mainly the age he is at. I say we see how results go till January and see what area's need strengthening.

Nobody cares anymore its done the season has started we're flying! we dont need him we dont want him! we've made a great start lets concentrate on the team we have and get behind them! I for one am really looking forward to a great season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Brooksy - That is not what SAF said, he said he was interested in Sneijder, but not as a replacement for Scholes. He said if he wanted to replace Scholes only Iniesta or Xavi could do that. In other words he is saying Sneijder is not a replacement for Scholes, but is a good player and still wanted him.

I have to agree with Sydney! & add to that.

It's quite obvious there was a good chance of Wesley Sneijder signing for us but for whatever reason he didn't. Now imagine if he came out & said that he was gutted the move didn't happen & that he didn't want to stay at Inter, the fans would go mental, making life hell for Wesley & his wife. I think we all know Italian fans can be pretty crazy!

In short, he has to say that so that he still has the fans on his side.

Stop taking everything you read in the press at face value. Nowadays, teams & players use the media for propaganda.

Sydney - I read about that in the article (not sure why I didn't mention it :P) There are only a few players that can replace Scholes, but it's just finding that player. Cleverley is a great player. We have enough strength in our midfield as it is, but fergie likes to sign young players.

I don't believe a lot in the press and reading the newspapers. I'll only believe it if there was some official news on clubs websites or interviews with the player or manager.

fergie saying that sneijder not the type of player we wanted--but why pursue him then? and arent modric and goetze similar players too? what IS the type of midfielder we want then boss?

Believable14 Unbelievable1

I don't think his on field play is in question here its more the demanding side from him.... HERBIE

Agree0 Disagree0

Who said we were pursuing him? Fergie and Gill never said we were. Sneijder said there were 'informal' talks but he changes his mind like the weather!

Agree0 Disagree0

He never said he wasn't the type of player he wanted, he said he did want him, but he would not be a like for like replacement for Scholes. Come on fellas, read the quotes, not the headlines.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Quotes are often taken out of context too so they're not definitive either

theres always a hidden agenda when answering questions like these anyway, neither Fergie nor Sneijder will want to come out looking bad or unloyal in answering questions to the press

;HP

Agree0 Disagree0

Not often I agree with you Sydney but I do re your last comment.

P.s. Goetze scores a hell of a lot more goals then Modric. No contest.

Pip

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha modric and sneijder the same type of players :) get real

Juz a typical excuse... sneijder's demand already kill da move...

{Ed007's Note - Guys, can I draw your attention to a charity that has been set up in memory of the late Tommy Burns (ex CFC player, manager and coach) who died in 2008.. It's aim is to build a cancer research lab that will carry his name. The location of it is in a cancer hospital called Beatsons in Glasgow, where all the staff helped my family, and my own father throughout his illness with all their great work. All you have to do is text TOMMY to 70099 to donate £1. All help is greatly appreciated.

I still feel we should make a bid for my love child Xherdan Shaqiri. Scored a hat-trick last night for Switzerland, great young talent.

{Ed002's Note - Syd, I am told the clubs interested in Ganso were Anzhi, Chelsea, PSG and Manchester City. The feeling is the Manchester City deal may have been a straight exchange for Tevez but there is no way that Santos could afford his wages. The feeling appears to be that he still has his heart set on AC Milan but understands it may get more difficult as time passes and next in line would be Barcelona. There is just the most slim of chances for Chelsea and seemingly zero elsewhere right now. And that is pretty much all we know. Everything else remains the same regarding Ganso and Neymar and Santos. Gut feeling is that Tevez could still end up in Madrid.}
