Why would we sell Rooney and not buy a replacement? Think before you post.

You mean like Liverpool did before they let Torres leave? i.e Carroll, Suarez.

I guarentee united won't sell welbeck because I have sources very close to Danny (my cousin is best mates with him) and they grew up in longsight together and he has recently spoke to Danny and Danny said that he would never leave united and sir Alex ferguson is ready to offer him a wage rise when he returns to mufc and there is also some truth that mufc made a move for henderson they asked for the availability if a 12 million pound bid were to take place and Sunderland replied by saying a bid of at least 22 million pound bid would tempt sunderland to relinquish the midfielder from the stadium of light mufc swiftly rejected the possibility of paying 22 million for Henderson but have now are feeling they can lure him away by also offering darron Gibson in the bid but as you have figured out nothing has happend yet and me , my cousin and Danny do NOT belive anything will happen in the Henderson situation.

@The Iturbe rumour is starting to pick up pace, the agent involved in the deal will be Jorge Mendes, the same Jorge Mendes that sold Anderson to United after just 12 appearances for Porto.

Ed what do you make of this rumour, it's looking like a typical United/ Porto/ Mendes deal wouldn't you agree?

Sydney!

{Editor's Note: I answered this when you asked the same question yesterday. He is a short Argentine-born kid. He is this week's new Messi - next week it will be someone else.}

@Ed, I know but what I meant is; what do you make of the deal? Not the player!

Sydney!

{Editor's Note: There is no deal to make anything of yet Sydney! - or is this a trick question?}

@The other Ed would know what I mean, it's the fact that Jorge Mendes is involved in another deal with United, I am sure the other Ed or Rainfish will tell you what I mean by that. Basically Mendes charges a 30% fee in all of his dealing with United. That is 20% more than the average agent, people always question why.

United to sign Juan Manuel Iturbe in the summer from what im hearing. He's 17 is at porto currently and is dubbed the 'New Messi'. he is a really decent prospect and would be a great addition to United's Squad. predominantly he is a winger but could play as a striker or just behind, both footed too. I think this kid will be a star in a 4-5 years time.

Sorry - The Pepe Reina interview was done yesterday not Saturday.

Manchester United Rumours
@Ed about Reina, it is a strange one but if you think about it, he cannot really rule out a United move. It's no secret he is gone in the summer but who can buy him? Realistically?

Chelsea? Got Cech!

Arsenal? won't pay £20m and have Szczęsny coming through.

City? Have Joe Hart!

Real Madrid? Have Casillas!

Barcelona? Have Valdes & keeping tabs on De Gea.

Inter? Have Cesar!

Bayern? Want Neuer!

Juventus? Got Buffon!

AC Milan? Very possible? ?

I am in no way saying he will sign for United but you can understand why he is not ruling out United as he does not have many options.

Sydney! {ed's note - Reina would walk into just about any team, Barca have had their eye on him for years. They would be my bet.}

The Pepe Reina interview was done on Saturday {ed's note - which one? Because the one that is being reproduced is not the one that I have had translated to me. It has had inserts from another interview done during the summer.}

-NPrak {ed's note - you do realise that the interview is extremely edited don't you? He never said that about United's situation, he said it about Arsenal and it was from the summer when Arsenal bid for him and were rejected. He did refuse to rule out a future move to United though.}

Yupp, I know that. But just the thought of signing one of their crown jewels is perhaps making me go nuts. Ofcourse this much more than just wishful thinking, but to not rule out a move to United definitely says that he "might" be interested. Or am I being totally irrational?

-NPrak {ed's note - you are not being irrational, but you have to remember this interview was done at a time when Liverpool were on the verge of admin under Hicks and Gillett. Every player was questioning their position at the club and wondering if they should move on. While Roy Hodgson was a millstone around Liverpool's neck I would have said Reina would be on his way in the summer. Who knows right now what will happen in the summer though? Fergie looks likely to be raking up United's 19th title, could that be what he is waiting on before retiring? Though I would not rule out any move for Reina in the summer from anyone.}

Hey I've been reading this site since July last year and I would like to give my opinion on who united should sign I think we should sign the three dortmund midfielders namely sahin kagawa If sahin would play alongside kagawa in the midfield and sahin is a brilliant free kick taker

@Watching both Gotze & Kagawa they both remind me of a younger Modric, especially Kagawa. The fact that he is Japanese and merchandise alone would pay for his wages and fee within a few years could be another reason to sign him. But I believe Fergie has a soft spot for Rodwell and if it's one or the other, then it will be Rodders. De Gea, Rodwell, Iturbe & Kagawa would be four quality buys. Doubt it mind, these guys would cost around £50m.

{Editor's Note: A little bit of wishful thinking here Sydney! - "merchandise alone would pay for his wages and fee".}

There is no way that United sign Jordan Henderson. He is a typically overrated English youngster who has never shown the ability need to perform at OT

"@Hi Moon mate, I think Hargreaves, Kuszczak, Owen, Van Der Sar are certain to retire/ leave. I think Gibson, Macheda & Obertan will have price-tags on their heads. Morrison is already in our squad so I expect Pogba to be added to the squad by next season. I think he may make a surprise appearance in the Crawley game. I think Diouf will get a chance next season, as will both Cleverley & Welbeck. I think the latter two will play a decent amount of games next season.

A keeper is certain to come in, who IMO could be anyone's guess. I think it will end up being Stekelenburg although I would love it to be De Gea. A central midfielder will come in, I agree I doubt it will be an expensive player like Pastore, Hamsik or Modric. I think it will be Rodwell, Kagawa, Gotze or Henderson. I think a young striker will be brought in, a cheap but exciting youngster, someone like Iturbe.

Out - Hargreaves, VDS, Kuszczak, Gibson, Owen & Obertan.

In - Rodwell, Stekelenburg, Lindegaard, Cleverley, Diouf, Welbeck.

But it's all guesswork, I believe Kagawa will be brought in 'IF' and it's a big if, if Scholes retires.

Sydney!"

Sydney! Alright Fella!

I completely forgot about Kuszczak, As you know i'm a big admirer of him, but yes, i'm going to concede that he is 90% likely to leave us in the summer. The rest of the outgoings you've mentioned are likely except for Michael Owen, IMO he needs to stay for the sake of Hernandez, I think we can all agree that Owen is probably the second most deadly finisher in the history of the Premier League? (behind Mr. Shearer ofcourse), Then again, maybe Sir Alex doesn't see it like i do. .

Macheda i feel could be the one who goes, i mean why send him on loan to Italy when he could of got match exp in the league he will be playing in? seems a little odd to me.
I think Gibson will stay, mainly for the same reason as Evans, He's played some crackin' games for us and has done well over the years but this year just isn't his, Although he's not as important as Evans so i wouldn't rule it out.
I really hope we keep Obertan, I'm a huge fan of the lad and i really think he can make it, but for me it seems all the focus is on Bebe and making sure he's good enough. And i think that Obertan has only had 2 bad games? since we signed him, which isn't too bad. If he leaves i think it will be because he wants to leave not because we don't want him.
I would LOVE Pogba and Morrison to be playing first team football this year, but i think aslong as Fletcher, Carrick, Anderson and Scholes are fit he won't get a look in except for Carling Cup games. The same with Morrison although he really is something special. .

Oh, how i rate Diouf! Ever since the goal against erm West Ham was it? I don't remember now lol.
I stick with my points about Cleverley and Welbeck about them being further down in the pecking order but they might get the last 20 minutes or so. .

Well yeah, The keeper is likely but still not sure on who it will be, plenty of top keepers about at good prices, it's just whether Sir Alex feels the need for a Mega Bucks signing or a low key one. Will be interesting to see though.

And the CM, I would absolutely love Scott Parker, In my Opinion he's the most consistant english CM in the current ERA and how he never got a look in for the World cup is beyond me, But being realistic here i can see it being either Henderson or Rodwell, Even though neither have done enough to prove they can hack it at the top especially Henderson, who strangely enough i've never bothered about watching even when i do watch sunderland games he never stands out for me.

But i think it's pretty certain that we won't spend over £35-40 Million this year. Not to bothered about how much we spend either, as long as the lads get the job done!

The Moon.

According to SSN, Reina is not ruling out a move to United in the Summer. Saying that they are a club who challenge for titles and that's what he wants to do. Leaving the door slightly open to a move. But would United pay Liverpool's valuation? He wouldn't come cheap.
