Sky source: Galatasaray in talks with Wesley Sneijder,

Believable32 Unbelievable11

They pay 15% tax so if my calculations are correct Gala only have to pay Sneijder £149.5k a week to equal the £130k net that he wants.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree1

What a step down! He shouldn't have been so greedy in the first place he could of been playing at OT, but has to settle for a turkish team!

He won't go..... Wel in my opinion he won't.....

CAIN

Agree1 Disagree0

Good job, hopefully stop being linked with us.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this a potential ploy to force Fergie's hand. He stated that unless a player becomes available?? Maybe if they can get him for £8m and get him to reduce his wages?

Agree3 Disagree0

Pretty pathetic if he goes there as it's obvious it'll just be for money, a man of his talent should still be playing at the top!

rpc

Agree0 Disagree0

Agent has dismissed the claim.

Plus the post is wrong...they are in talks with Inter, not the player. Player can not be forced to move there if he doesn't want to go. I still expect us to make a bid.

that will bring the age of our midfield down DOH!!

Agree1 Disagree0

Funny enough so did I

Dustbin

Agree0 Disagree0

Not going to happen! He is considered by many to be a Chelsea legend...do you think he would taint this by moving to one of their clubs biggest rivals - i think not! If he moves, the lad will move to another league

Pistol

Agree1 Disagree1

Wonder if he's gonna give Sir Bobby Charlton a run out too?

Agree1 Disagree2

Seen Bryan Robson at a few games recently, I hear SAF is planning a sensational return for him....

Agree0 Disagree1

Utter garbage! the rumour and the player! we didnt want him 12 years ago and certainly don't want him now!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on guys why so negative? Hes a lot younger than Giggs and Scholes and still puts in a full shift at Chelsea. And we have no-one in our midfield to compare with him, sad to say...Two year deal would be perfect if we get him for nothing!!

Agree1 Disagree0

The negative posters know nothing about football whatsoever

if frank lampard was signed i'd be well happy!! hes only 34 and still has a lot to offer judging by his recent performances...this will be scholes last season and hopefully giggs as well......lampards experience would be vital come next season to bring the likes of cleverley on even further....cleverley will become a beast having been mentored by giggs, scholes, carrick and lampard....imagine a mixture of the 4 of them moulded into one....obviously that is not what will happen as clevs is his own person and all that but its all little small things players pick up are the ones that helps them to evolve even further not just on own personal gain.......

so anyone saying lampard would be a bad signing is wrong..plus he would be free ffs! i know its highly unlikely to happen as hes a chelsea ledgend, but was rvp not an arsenal legend or am i living on a different planet to yous?

wise up

Robbo

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with Robbo, the advances in training methods etc mean players can play for far longer than in the 90's. Lampard is a class act, he has never relied on pace and at 35 (in Feb) he still probably has a year if not two at the highest level...and is still banging them in at Chelsea. All this 'old persons home' talk is utter b*ll*x - Smalling, Jones, Chico have all recenelty been bought and are young players but a team needs a mix of youth and experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

I very much doubt he will be able to play into his 90s!! Personally he can still do a good job and we WERE interested not long before he went to Chelsea.
Again personally I can't stand him though, he partly ended Scholes international career forming an awful partnership over the years with Gerrard, and.....well he just annoys me, don't want!
Invisible STuey

Agree0 Disagree0

U lot must b mad, frank lampard on a free is a no brainer! He may b 35 soon but he's still class. Still running the show at chelski and would b a great to have around the squad even if it were only for a year. I'd take Ashley cole too!

Agree0 Disagree0

The trouble with buying Lampard and Cole isn't a question of quality, more one of short termism. Lampard will last one, maybe two seasons at the United level, then what? I hope if we do buy one or both of these players, it doesn't mean we won't buy one or two midfielders with six or seven years minimum left.
Mik

Agree0 Disagree0

To get both Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard on 1 or 2 year deals at the end of the season would be nothing short of a stroke of genius on Alex Fergusons part. A younger midfielder will no doubt be bought come the end of the season, and this will probably be it for Giggs, Scholes & Evra at United. So Lampard replaces Scholes - nearly 4 years his junior, and Cole replaces Evra - 6 months older, almost twice the player. I really don't see how that could be negative. And Chelsea fans would have to watch United win the league with 2 of their legends!

Knowing the greatest manager of all time..it sounds like his perfect scenario!

ps I am a West Ham fan, just saying it how it is..

Hie..Lads !

MANCHESTER UNITED want Frank Lampard and the Chelsea star is ready to move to Old Trafford.
Lampard has been told he is no longer wanted at Stamford Bridge, with his contract set to run out in the summer.
United manager Alex Ferguson is convinced the veteran midfielder, 34, canstill do a job at the very highest level.
He is a long-time admirer of the player and tried to get him before he even joined Chelsea.
It is unlikely a deal will be done this month - when a fee would be involved - while Lampard is also keen to see out the rest of the season at Stamford Bridge.
But United are prepared to offer him a one-year deal in the summer, with the promise of a second year if everything goes well.
Contact has already been made from Old Trafford to Lampard's representatives.
He currently has a number of options including another Premier League club and two abroad.
But United are firm favourites to land him in a deal that would have seemed unthinkable at the start of the season.

He ain`t good enough for Chelsea & he certainly isn`t good enough for us. It would stink of desperation. daleman55

Agree0 Disagree1

Daleman55

He isn't good enough for Chelsea... How many goals and assists has he got this season with starting/sub appearances?

... Thought so, you're wrong. His record speaks for itself.

Grubbo

Agree2 Disagree0

Not good enough for us? Who would you prefer in CM Frank Lampard or Rafael like he was against West Ham?
Lampard has still got another 2 seasons in him and is consistently one of the best midfielders in the league. Just because Playing Scholes and giggs at the same time is not good doesnt mean Lampard isnt worth signing, have you seen the amount of ground he still covers? He's fit as a butchers dog, doesnt get injured and has great experience. The experience Giggs and Scholes bring is very important but its getting harder to have them on the field, Frank is 6 years younger than Giggs for people to write him off before his form even drops is ridiculous.

Snakey

Agree2 Disagree0

Grubbo, his overall game is piss poor he doesn't have the passing and movement quality to play for us. Now he spends most of his time lurking around the penalty area like Hernandez does and we have Hernandez to do that.

Frank Lampard to Man Utd? David De Gea to Real Madrid? Alexander Buttner out on loan? any truth to these?

Believable19 Unbelievable55

NO, NO AND NO .

Agree1 Disagree0

I can't imagine us signing Lampard and I hope we don't to be honest. I wouldn't mind if De Gea was sold if we got a quality replacement in, as far as Buttner is concerned well I think he is absolutely awful, I look at him and I just think wtf? he is shocking!

There will be one transfer in the summer coming in to Old Trafford. Ronaldo will be coming home and De Gea will be going the other way. I don't know what the transfer money will be but it will be between 50 and 70 million.

Believable20 Unbelievable52

No downside to that deal as far as I can see.

Agree0 Disagree0

If that's going to be the only summer transfer, what about a replacement for David De Gea?

Agree2 Disagree0

With CR7, RVP and Wazza playing together the plan is to play without a goalkeeper to make it fair for the other teams to compete!

Acording to spanish newspaper oscar de marcos we move to man utd withing 48 hours

Believable11 Unbelievable32

Would love this to be true, but can not see SAF buying anyone this winter's window. if he does it would be for a player whose price would be 10m or less. hope I'm wrong however.
Mik

Ferdinand will leave utd at the end of the season and will re-join leeds on a free transfer. Nani to big spending Zenit for £25 million. Lampard will join united on a free from chelsea. Welbeck will join Fulham for £11 million. United will offer £60 million for Ronaldo plus De Gea. United will then buy rather begovic for £7 million or will bid £17 million for Akineev.

Believable26 Unbelievable54

Ferdinand to Leeds? SAF selling a local lad who plays upfront for England? Why sell DDG after 2 seasons.

Ronaldo isn't coming guys. Just not going to happen.

Agree5 Disagree1

Thank goodness thats been cleared up then, any chance of telling me the lottery number this weekend? Thanks.

-JakeW

Agree3 Disagree0

Begovic will cost 12m+. Wellbeck is worth more than 12m. DDG will stay and Lindergaard will go. Unfortuately I could see Fat Frank coming, though I really hope not
