Sky Italia reporting that Utd have today entered negotiations for transfer of Sneijder with Nani possibly being part of the deal. Somehow doubt this unless other targets have failed to materialise.

Believable7 Unbelievable7

I have Sky Italia (Being Italian) & the only thing reported on Sneijder tonight is that Malaga have offered 35m Euros.

Napoli & Inter have made late offers for Sanchez but he has his heart set on Barca, though a deal is yet to be concluded & will only be sorted once the Copa Americas is finished. Udinese still playing hardball. (Sky Italia)

Lemala has posted on his twitter that his Agent Daniel Passerella is in Rome to finalise his deal to Roma & he has said goodbye to the River Plate fans. (Sky Italia)

Bojan is also expected to sign for Roma.

Juventus reckon they have a deal for Aguerro in place.

They are reporting that Nasri "could" be heading for City for £23m, though i think our journalists will know more than the Italian Journalists.

Having watched Sky Italia for the past hour there's been nothing on about us at all so far, apart from speculation.
Sorry Guys.

United will definetly sign nasri I no this from a manchester united player which I cannot name. Sneijder is a done deal if he will take a pay cut to £150,000 a week.

Believable5 Unbelievable8

Sneijder can compare hair transplants with rooney then

Agree0 Disagree0

How is it a done deal if your saying its if he will take a pay cut makes me laugh how much rubbish people talk on these sites shame because no one then believes the genuine ones i hope we do get nasri or sneijder but nothing is a done deal untill the contracts signed

Mecheda will be allowed to go out on loan to Nottingham Forest for a full season. The player is encouraged by Steve McClaren's vision and would like to play first team football. Sir alex Ferguson has also given Mecheda the green light to join the East Midlands club.

...United have made a 39 mil bid for Wesley Sneijder..told you all that I knew we'd sign De Gea, Sanchez and Sneijder..expect sneijder deal to be sorted soon..remains sanchez only..well i have to admit he looks like barca bound..but as i said United did make a bid for him..and he was fergie's main target..but chance aint gone yet..fabregas is not travelling with arsenal for their pre season tour taking him inch closer to Barcelona..so sanchez might not end up at Barca..lets see..
But sneijder is done..consider it true.

I really hope this is true about sneijder he is the perfect replacement for scholes a truly great player come on SAF make this happen. In fergie we trust utd utd

I'm expecting one more signing, although I wouldn't put money on who it's going to be. Nasri is possible but I have a feeling we'll pick up a lesser known French / Italian / South American creative type to back up the likes of Anderson.

As for the concerns about selling Brown and O'Shea to leave our defensive cover a bit thin, you only have to look at Fergie's strategy last season to feel that he's got options.

Right back - Aside from both Da Silva twins, Fletcher and Valencia filled in on the right side of defence. I've not seen Phil Jones play there, but I assume he or Chris Smalling could at a push. Reserves Marnick Vermijl and Reece Brown have ability, so perhaps SAF sees them being pushed through sooner rather than later? The current Academy right back, Michael Keane, may be the long-term solution to replacing Gary Neville.

Left back - Patrice Evra is the first choice but he didn't have his best season last year. Him being an ever-present may be challenged by Fabio. Ryan Giggs filled in briefly during several matches. Jonny Evans was tried at left back in pre-season. Tom Cleverley, returning from a year on loan at Wigan, is a midfielder who spent some of his formative years playing at left back. Rob Brady is a Reserves winger who spent some time with the #3 shirt. Similarly his Reserves colleague, centre back Oliver Gill, has spent lots of time on the left.

Centre back - Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic are first choice but Fergie has been very clever to invest in Chris Smalling and Phil Jones who look like ideal successors. Evans and Gill are below them in the pecking order, and we've also seen Michael Carrick fill in at the back during an injury crisis.

I have confidence that United's version of "total football" could have Rooney filling in for defenders if needed After all he often chases all the way back to retrieve the ball. Our club produces talented and dedicated footballers who all have plenty of heart and drive to succeed.

Believable13 Unbelievable10

The long-term replacement for Neville is Rafael. The long-term replacement for Evra will be Fabio. I doubt Michael Keane will have what it takes to make it at United. He is a makeshift RB for the academy, he was a centre back.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hi no name poster.

We are already well equipped to make it 20 even without Nasri or whoever we get in the "creative mould". With respect to matching Barca I think we need to look at the Nasri types, people that are techinically great, whether that's with the ball at their feet or disecting defences. It's time for us to play keep ball and make sure that the next two generations of players coming through are encouraged to do the same and shift the focus away from pace and power. Arsenal play some great football but often lack discipline at the back or the right level of guile and determination to be winners. If we could shift our attitude slightly in-line with theirs (Barca's ideally) whilst holding onto the never say die, it ain't over till it's over, tenacity and determination to win when all seems lost we could start dominating in Europe as we have in the Premier League.

Can't agree with your last comment. Even though Rooney is a tireless worker, he would simply be wasted in defensive positions.

Kind Regards,

U-N-I-T-E-D F-O-R-E-V-E-R

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with alot of the above but total football with rooney covering in defensively cant really see happening

Agree0 Disagree0

Forgive my hyperbole I wasn't advocating Rooney playing in defence I was scoffing at how good all of United's players are, and that given a crisis, you could probably get many individuals to fill in. I'm not too worried that we don't have third or fourth choice full backs on both sides.

Just had deja vu... Remembering ozil to united ozil this ozil that ozil, ozil ozil and then him going to madrid. I no nasri hasn't been linked with madrid but starting to worry. Definitly premature I know(plz don't shoot)m just a little anxious I guess.I know we still have a long time to go in the window. SSN confirmed that we have had a bid turned down only to then they say that we have not bid. Are we even interested? So can anyone confirm that we are interested? Not that we are definitly siging him. Just that we are interested? CDS

Believable10 Unbelievable6

We have enquired about the player, that has been confirmed. Supposedly we have made a verbal offer of just under £20m, but have not made a formal offer (In writing). It seems we are very much in the mix. But so are City, Chelsea & Inter.

Another thing which I have found strange is Nasri apparently met with Wenger yesterday, but there has been no comment made. Did they definitely meet? If so why have we heard nothing about this meeting?

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Calm down, I think we are interested, along with many other clubs, but I also feel we are in the driving seat for him due to his ambitions to win. The way I see it is if he means what he 'says' then he will be on his way, if not then it will just be a case of the rooneys again.

I read that Wenger and Nasri did not have any meeting.
Quote "The Independent understands that Nasri and manager Ars ne Wenger did not hold talks when the midfielder returned to London Colney yesterday."

That said, it has been reported in other papers that they did meet and that Nasri turned down an improved salary of 90k per week for his final 12 months.

Ed002 is it true Anzhi have offered Pastore a 107k euro weekly wage to join them?

Wouldn't that be the equivalent of a UK wage of £154k a week because of the low Russian tax rate?

Sydney! {Ed002's Note - I have no idea about any particular offer but money is not an issue at Anzhi Makhachkala nor any of the big Russian clubs. Wages at the top end in Russia are high. Rubin Kazan made an attempt to sign Lampard a couple of years back and Anzhi will be doing a lot more shopping this summer - a jointy bid for Drogba and Aneka was discussed a little while back. Roberto Carlos is already there, and Dzsudzsak has already joined them this summer.}

Man utd will sell gibson to sunderland or newcastle for 6million meaning 12 mil in from sales. (1mil brown) (5mil O'shea). they will then sell carrick to villa for 8million. We will then sign L.Diarra and Nasri for 30million, 11mil and 19mil respectively. This will mean spent= 80mil sold= 20mil meaning 60mil spent.

De Gea rafael vidic ferdinand evra nani diarra nasri young rooney hernandez. 20th on it's way

I can't see Carrick going anywhere. He does a good job in front of the back four.

Agree0 Disagree0

Carrick signed a new contract end of last season he wont be goin anywhere so people need to get this out of there head

Agree0 Disagree0

Nope, that record was broken towards the end of last season

United and Arsenal may only be comparative pennies away from agreeing a fee for Samir Nasri, according to reports, but the Reds are allegedly happy to play the waiting game. The Daily Telegraph insists that David Gill and Sir Alex Ferguson will leave a £20million cheque on Arsene Wenger's desk, whistle and walk away, in the hope that the Gunners will relent and accept the offer before the end of the transfer window.

I hear Martin Jol has been talking to Barcelona regarding Jeffren.

Sydney!

Believable5 Unbelievable8

And what exactly does this have to do with United?

rpc

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, Jeffren was included in Barca's 'definitive offer' for Alexis Sanchez. If he goes to Fulham, he can't be used in the Sanchez deal, which may result in Barca pulling out of the deal for Sanchez, which could open the door for United.

G.A.G.U.S {Ed002's Note - Jeffren has already said (more than a week ago) he was not going to Italy.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Sydney agree with a lot of your posts but what has this got to do with united should be posted on the fulham board

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes a winger which means they may be making room for sanchez if this is correct {Ed002's Note - Barcelona want Sanchez and he wants to move there. Hoding it up is the rather bizarre situation in dealing with the Udinese owner, Barcelona not offering enough and not having enough money to offer more.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I get some info on certain London clubs, I don't get any info on United, but a few bits on Fulham. I just post what I hear I guess.

Are arsenal due to go on tour like ourselves in next few days.
Will nasri go?

Believable14 Unbelievable10

If he dont go, surely that means job done, do you not think Ed {Ed002's Note - I don't know what is happening about tours but Arsenal will want Nasri to stay.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal are going to Asia for summer tour, this sunday, fergie wants deal sorted out so Nasri does not have to travel, if all is to belived

Agree0 Disagree0

Nasri is going on the tour. Arsenal are back before the end of July and United are allegedly happy to wait right up to the 31st August to get their man

Agree0 Disagree0

United won't want to wait till then because if they do and go for him in the last min if there is any last minute collapses they won't have time to look at anyone else, but nasri WILL sign

Liverpool are planning to derail the Nasri move......

Kenny Dalglish and Comolli are putting together a bid for Nasri, involving either Aquilani or Mereiles going the other way to Arsenal.

It has been financially approved by FSG and is likely to be completed early next week. Wenger has refused to sell Nasri to LFC or any other top club, but I understand the offer they are making is going to be difficult to turn down......£20mill + aquilani (or mereiles) for Nasri........

Believable9 Unbelievable25

Well as Liverpool are not a top club they might get him

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats rubbish why would nasri join liverpool when he said he wants trophies

Agree0 Disagree0

Well, there you go. I'm sure Nasri will choose Liverpool over his other options. Gutted that he's joining LFC instead of us.

DarkLard08

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably the funniest rumour I have EVER read.

Sydney :)

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool 'OR' a top club. That's about right.

Sydney :)

Agree0 Disagree0

You are forgetting one thing..nasri wants to win trophies.

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would nasri go to liverpool it's a step backward, he loses champion's league football and would be likely to get similar wages?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on earth would nasri want to a club worse than the one he is at. He's stated he wants to win trophies.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im pretty sure nasri wants a move because he wants to win trophys and do well in europe which pretty much rules liverpool out.and its nasri's chioce where he moves not wengers so quit making stuff up
liverpool are like david haye in the transfer market. punching above ur weight but ending up looking mediocre

Agree0 Disagree0

Nasri stated he wants to leave cos he wants to win trophies.......do i really need to carry on?

Agree0 Disagree0

He has more of a chance of winning trophies at Liverpool than arsenal at the moment...

Agree0 Disagree0

Why on earth would liverpool sign nasri after the amazing capture of scotland international charlie adam, anyone signing for liverpool after him is surely an anti-climax for you.but maybe nasri has hoodwinked everyone to join liverpool as he is sure a partnership of him and adam will surely bring down the might of mufc and fcb, dependant of course the capture of downing.go away doughnut.joeyored

Agree0 Disagree0

He's only got more chance of trophies at LFC than Arsenal at the moment because it's pre-season. As soon as the real season starts, he'd be better off at Arsenal again.

DarkLard08

Agree0 Disagree0

Why are u bullying a fellow united supporter?

Agree0 Disagree0

Nasri won't go Liverpool. If he wants money most, he'll go City. If he wants trophies, he'll go United. Liverpool haven't even qualified for Europe this season so why would he join them?

Agree0 Disagree0

No kidding Commoli could not derail a metrolink tram never mind a transfer deal Nasri has three options and none involve Liverpool he either fancies the cliamte in Spain the money of SH..TY or to replace the one and only "Ginger Prince" if we are lead to believe he wants to win trophies and play at the highest level I am sorry to say Liverpool cannot offer this at the moment and should he go to the scousers what formation will they play 2-6-2

i believe that man utd should buy nasri and hulk because rooney could play in midifled with nasri and we could have hulk and hernandez upfront together and it wouldnt be the 1st time rooney has played in midfield he has been playing in midfield alot this season since hernandez came in wot does everyone else think about this?
THE HEMMINATOR

Believable17 Unbelievable17

Yes i would live that, but if nasri is nasri is 20M and we've already spent 40M, so how much would hulk cost?

Agree0 Disagree0

Everyone forgets scholes used to be a striker rooney is the new scholes

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney has said publicly on talksport he doesnt want to play any deeper than he has done and would rather play as a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney never played in midfield he either played ST or CF and hulk plays RW to cut in on his left foot and i agree that Rooney wouldnt want to play CM and if u had Roney and Nasri there then Nasri hardly defends and u wouldnt want Rooney having to drop back deep

Agree0 Disagree0

Rooney has played in midefield several times if u look at the fulham game couple years back when he got sent off 4 throwing the ball he was playing in midfield and if you have been watching the man utd games this year you will notice he has dropped back a bit and sets up hernandez ie against sxchalke in europe this season
THE HEMMINATOR

Agree0 Disagree0

Could work but rooney is better than hulk. I would leave that and play nasri and fletcher in cm and rooney and Hernandez up front

Agree0 Disagree0

I think that rooney is a great midfeilder tho hes what we are looking for strong good vison plays great balls sets up team mates dominates the midfield what else do you need in midfield he is the best solution to the midfield problem

The Guardian, Times & Telegraph have said that United bid close to £20m for Nasri a couple of weeks ago. This has been backed up by Arsenal by admitting we have made an enquiry. So it seems we have made a bid, but not a formal bid. In other words a bid was made but not in writing.

Sydney!

You must get some sort of buzz seeing your posts on this site. I mean, this is just burbling drivel. Repeating old Nasri news with an explanation: We made a bid, not a formal bid, meaning not a bid in writing?
Can you let us know if the bid has been tabled, and if so was the table of a glass or wooden construction ya weird person?

According to BBC Sport we have tabled a 'near £20m' bid for Samir Nasri over the past 2 weeks which is 'still on the table'. There really isn't much more to the article than that other than them effectively confirming our interest.

We're now at the point where us signing Nasri stops being just paper talk and becomes a possibility. I for one am thrilled.
