Ed002; are you aware of us being in talks with Pogba?

Believable5 Unbelievable5

{Ed002's Note - Manchester United are certainly not in talks with Pogba. Juventus approached another club (at least one) about him yesterday to see if they could get the cash to make an offer for Sanchez.}

Ed2 I take it they'd rather sell Pogba than Vidal.

{Ed002's Note - Both may go.}

Ed one of my favourite ever replies from yourself. We may not get Vidal, but you have given me a tiny glimmer of hope, thank you.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed. When u say both may go, do you expect united to be one of the teams with a possibility of signing Vidal?

Thanks in advance

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed.}

Ed002, every man and their dog know that this week was the best time for us to make an offer for Vidal. Do you think we will make a bid for Vidal? Thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps.}

Pogba has sensational shooting ability, and the confidence to decide big games, but we know now why he scores 7 goals a season where lampard scores 20.

I paid close attention to him in 2 france games in the tournament, and not only does the guy fail to run about in defence, he doesent run forward to join the attack either. i'm not sure whether it is to do with attitude. It seems as though he has a big frame, and longer length legs, like crouch or felliani, which perhaps make him less mobile.

I think this issue is also something that has been identified by scouts around europe. With pogba being available, I would have thought that teams would bid for him the way they did with hazard or alexis sanchez when he left udinese. Madrids, Barcelona's, a new look united, not to mention all the oligark backed teams, don't seem to have much fear splashing 40-60m on players that are in the top 20 nowadays. For me it became clear during the world cup that pogba isn't in that bracket.

I think he struggles from the same type of problem as the carricks, berbatovs and fellianis of this world. In their own way, these players all had immense qualities, but were let down by a lack of natural stamina and athletiscism. Its something u take for granted, but does have a serious impact on a team - especially attacking ones, pushing players forward in numbers. Us united fans know this better than most after 5 years with a quality, but nonetheless aged and slow midfield + defence.

Personally glad we are not in for Pogba, although I hope he will learn to adapt his game, because he is a tremendous talent.

{Ed002's Note - I don't know.}

Hiya folks, hopin everyone's well.
Ed002 if its possible could u give us an update on di Maria?
thanx

Believable5 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - I do not know if they have yet submitted a bid but Manchester City, Bayern Munich and Juventus are all interested in Di Maria. There have been rejected offers from Monaco, Manchester United and PSG although clubs may well return with another offer. If he cannot stay at Real Madrid, the player would not object to a move to Italy should the opportunity arise and Juventus may give him that opportunity, perhaps as part of a package deal that could see players being exchanged. If not, he would be beyond the means of Juventus without them selling either of their prized assets. Arsenal interest seems to have gone. Madrid were keen to hang on to him but are now looking to raise money and Jorge Mendes has been looking for a deal for the player and has persuaded Real Madrid to provide a price at which they would sell him - it is not insignificant at all and will scare off most clubs. Additionally, Mendes is in danger of pricing him out of the market with some pretty outrageous wage demands.}

Have heard that there will be 2 deals agreed this week, one may be completed by friday, I am hoping that it will be Di maria and Vidal but think the one completed may well be Vermaelen, the other more likely Vidal.

Believable30 Unbelievable12

I think Vermaelen will almost certainly be done in the next 10 days or so. Di Maria and Vidal will no doubt take a long while.

Agree0 Disagree1

Think the Sanchez transfer is the key to a lot of deals going through quite quickly especially if he decides he wants to go to italy, also heard that Kagawa may be the odd man out and transfered out, Dortmund is the likely destination.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope he ends up at Juve, will be gutted to see him at Arsenal.

Agree3 Disagree0

Looking like he is off to Arsenal, must say I don't know why, would have liked to have seen him in a United shirt but nevermind.

thinks Real Madrid might look to sell Di Maria for a big fee, and if they do MUFC are in a strong position to get him.
