Manchester United Rumours
Editor rumour has it that Real Madrid have discussed the future signing of Hernandez at board level. I know United would not sell and he is a nice loyal lad and is happy to play for United but out of curiosity how much do you think his valuation is right at this moment? {ed's note - it would have to be 20m+, that is a conservative estimate as well. Obviously his market value would be different, a lot lot higher.}

Have to agree, United have already made back nearly his 6m fee in shirt sales alone. He is pretty much a free player like Park.

@United have nearly signed Norwegian 15 year old starlet Mats Moller Daehli, he is a creative midfielder and is apparently a huge talent.

The only money they have is from their massive TV deal and shirt sales, not to mention being gifted money from the government and banks for no apparent reason.

I understand what you are saying and I totally agree its farcical that the Premiership gets pinpointed for throwing money about and ruining the game while the Spanish do the same and they are making it 'beautiful'. The fact is though, now Real and Barca generate such massive money and are a massive part of the Spanish economy, it's no wonder the banks are happy to bail them out.

"Also the generous loans given to spanish clubs at unreal interest rates by spanish banks completely destabilize the market. Can you imagine a bank giving arsenal, chelsea or united 300mil loan for a spending spree like real got? Or the 140mil loan barcelona got? I don't think there will be a bank in britain which will offer those at those interest rates. It basically is like a capital injection into the company. {ed's note - you mean like the 300m+ loan that Roman gave Chelsea at 0% interest?}"

Ed, Roman owns Chelsea and take 300m out of the club anytime and walk away. Real and Barca are not owned by single owners. Real especially make next to nothing from prize money. The only money they have is from their massive TV deal and shirt sales, not to mention being gifted money from the government and banks for no apparent reason. When the financial regulations come into play, Real are as f* * d as City unless they start winning some serious silverware soon (assuming they keep spending like they have done, which no doubt they will).
