In SAF's interview today he said Pogba is very close to breaking into the 1st team, I cant wait to see him with the 1st team, Seen a lot of him on mutv and he looks class... And i hope Ravel Morrison knuckles himself down and gets a chance at 1st team football aswell, Bright times ahead

Lets hope so. Maybe once we get a good head of steam going and we have the right game we'll see him.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think playing him in the first team will only make him better! can see him progressing fast, he's a beast!

Agree0 Disagree0

I read some quotes somewhere that he is expected to play some part in the match against Leeds. Look forward to seeing him if that is the case!

Rudderpost

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a bit of a shame we did draw Leeds, if it was any other team apart from Leeds or a PL team, he would start. I think he will be on the bench against Leeds, but only come on if we are winning.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree Sydney. I think he'll probably get 20 mins against Leeds with a view to starting at OT v Norwich. Ideal game, SAF may give Cleverley a rest.

No doubt Pogba has real potential and these 2 games could be a real stepping stone for the lad. Go on SAF, give him a go.

Stockie

Agree0 Disagree0

It is greatly to be hoped that Ravel Morrison does indeed use his potential, which many OT men say is the greatest they have seen. This includes men who Knew the 1968 team.

Its up to him

I know not many wanna hear about replacing SAF. I recall United having a plan when he does leave? Ole is currently managing at Molde. Could he ever return as Manager?

Believable12 Unbelievable21

Actually, I have to announce that I am the new manager.

With Ed007 as head coach. Gan as Chief Executive and we're poaching Hayley McQueen from Sky as PR.

Agree0 Disagree0

I see Ole being a United manager, but not when SAF retires.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see it happening ole wouldn't have enough expierence for the biggest club in the world only a handful of managers in my opinion could succeed at united mourinho, moyes ancellotti would be good I think or even pep if he ever left barca

Dick van dyke

Agree0 Disagree0

I can't see it happening, not anytime soon anyway he just doesn't have the experience if we're talking about man utd legends being the next manager i'd say cantona is the more likely

Ozwald

Agree0 Disagree0

Maradona?

Agree0 Disagree0

Mourinho guardiola would be the big name to come in
moyes or quieroz for people who know the league and team

Agree0 Disagree0

When Ole left for Molde, he himself said that he would have to (and be prepared to) wait about 15 years before he had enough experience to come back and managed Utd

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes never boring defensive rubbish
Mourinho blokes an oik and a man of low moral fibre he has shat his nest
ole maybe in time
Tbh I have no idea who Utd will choose sadly I can't even think who we will choose

Pardoe

Agree0 Disagree0

The only manager who can replace SAF and still maintain our dominance over the league is Pep ... that guy is class ... and the only club that he can go to from barca with out going a level down is united... and with the uncertainty he has with long term contracts with barca would suggest something on the cards

Agree0 Disagree0

I reckon Mourinho has burned his bridges with his carry on of late. The advice he gave Sneijder not to join us was the last nail in his coffin. Besides, great managers can come through from nowhere, just like Pep and Ferguson. They are 100% committed to their clubs and their cause. Real club men that live and breath the club. Ole might be the man, could be someone else. We wont know till it happens, but like Ferguson and Pep the new manager will need to be given time to build a world class team. No Mourinho, he's just a quick fix to keep band wagon fans happy and throws money at the problems. We need someone to stay and build another dynasty just like that of Busby and Ferguson.

Dublin Devil

Agree0 Disagree0

Apparantly its believed in Spain by most journalists that Guardiola will be replacing Ferguson. It could be just because Pep only signs short contracts and never seems to give a long term commitment to Barca and people are putting two and two together, or there may be something more substantial to it.
I personally just hope its not Mourinho. And i am really dreading the day when the great man calls it a day!

Andy B

Agree0 Disagree0

I think it has been discussed for a long long time, and i have absolute confidence that they will do the right thing.. but if we will ever see a manager that holds the spot for years and years? depends on our patience, i hope no matter what that we wont become a club that changes manager every time we loose a game

just a thought to my fellow man utd fans...with the rumour(thank you its over)off snedijer(spelling)is over and the amount off £££ it was going to cost us over his contract etc,and my opinion we still need a attacking midfielder.....what about the young midfielder from ajax(eriksen, spelling again lol)he is only 19yr old and wouldnt command ridiculous wages like WS..just a thought.young, good potential,sell-on value etc thanks lurgan red

Believable19 Unbelievable8

I think he knows that it's too early for him to make such a move and prefers to stay where he is for now.
I think that's the right call.

I'd love to see him in a United shirt but he's not quite ready.
Besides, I don't even think we've been linked to him at all this summer.
That may indicate that we aren't interested. It may also mean that we are but are being stealthy about it.

You trying to turn us into arsenal we dont wont quality young players just to sell on to make a profit. we want players that want a career with us like g.neville, giggs, and scholes it was boring with cr7 and it will become boring with rooney. as it was with fabregas. we want players that want to play for us not thats happy to become a great player with us and just ship for a mega offer elsewhere in spain or italy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thanks for the comments about my suggestion, but like to say that am not trying to make our beloved team to be like the arsenal model(the way wenger works).....it was just an idea.i would love any player to come with to us and spend their greatest time with us and win as much as the players you have mentioned above..giggs,scholes,neville....lurgan red

Tom Cleverly mate...

At first I thought Sneijder/Modric was a must-buy and had hardly heard of Tom Cleverly, but had we bought one of them we would be denying a future england and world star his development.

Sir Alex Ferguson showing that he knows what he is doing and is the best in the world. Again.

Barcelona officials are in Sao Paulo to discuss a January swoop for Santos star Neymar, according to reports in Brazil.
how many more players can they get in the squad surly some big names would have to be moved on.
jred

Believable11 Unbelievable5

Not sure where he would fit in, the last Brazilian striker they signed flopped din;t he?

I'd expect Villa to be making way. Can Neymar play left or right wide or is he just a straight through the middle man?

Agree0 Disagree0

It's a bit harsh on Villa but he is pretty much the only one who could go. Surely they wouldn't get rid of Pedro? Sanchez has just signed and Messi is untouchable. They have had a couple of South American strikers who weren't all that great Maxi Lopez and Keirrison. Neymar can play wide by the way.

Rjmanutd

Agree0 Disagree0

If that is true then I would expect a first choice front 3 of.....

_________Messi

Neymar_________Sanchez

TK-Red

Agree0 Disagree0

Why hasn't anyone pointed out the fact they claimed only to have a budget off 40 mil and that was for fabregas yet they splashed out on him and Sanchez and now neymar! Full of s#*t at that club but uefa and platini love them!

Ports

Agree0 Disagree0

The plan id for Neymar to replace Villa on the left side of the front three.

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Tk-red
.............Messi

Neymar.............Sanchez/pedro

inesta fab
............xavi

as anyone else really got a chance
jred

Agree0 Disagree0

Jred, you're so right. That team is absolute quality. The midfield 3 are probably the 3 best CMs in the world, in terms of technique, touch, passing and creativity they are unbelievable! Messi ain't bad neither.

Platini needs to investigate their finances though - does he have the balls?

Stockie

Agree0 Disagree0

They cant and wont be able to sustain the spending and the debt which it will incur. I think they will chance their arms and challenge the new fair play rules on the grounds that they are Barcelona. It wont last and they will find themselves in trouble financially. Spain is just as broke as Ireland now and it will get worse, I expect the EU will start having something to say on the debts incurred from top teams soon enough as they are not just football teams, they are a multi billion Euro industry and sooner or later if it is abused politics and regulations will take over and UEFA will end up being controlled from the EU.

Dublin Devil {Ed001's Note - no big corporation operates under governmental control and FIFA/UEFA are the same. Corporations just grease a few palms and continue to abuse anything and everything (and everyone for that matter!) they like. That will never change, not unless politicians actually care about the people they are supposed to represent.}

Good morning Guys

I for one am glad that the Premiership is back this weekend and I'm looking forward to the game against Bolton.I just hope we can perform away from home as we do at home.
Ed or anyone else do you know if any of our Internationals have picked up any injuries.

Bazza The Red. {Ed007's Note - I can't see anything about any new injuries Bazza.}

did united go for tiago from barca at some stage this summer does anyone know? heard a rumour they did, great player
DB

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Yes well there was talk of a £15 mil bid which i think was rejected? if there ever was a formal offer i'm not too sure however right after barca knew of interest from man utd they offered him a new contract in which there is a buyout clause of £80 mil. He would have been a great buy especially from barca, he was and still is like a mini xavi!
