Hi Ed, do United hold any interest in hirving lozano? He's been linked recently and would offer a potential solution to our right side.

{Ed002's Note - Lozano is a LW and would perhaps be a Sanchez replacement.}

We could only accommodate another left sided player if we let Sánchez and Lukaku go which pushes Martial towards the middle.

So Sanchez could be moving. Best for all concerned I think. Lozano fits the bill for me young absolutely rapid and knows where the goal is.

From what I have seen of Lozano, he looks like he has the right mentality. He is a fighter, not one to go and sulk when things don't go his way.

Thanks ed, think we're overloaded on that side of the attack already.

I can see Lukaku go either this summer or next summer the latest.

Would love to sign Lozano. He was great at the World Cup and has carried that form on this season. He’s absolutely rapid too. I think we may see martial and rashford pushed centrally which is where they both look more comfortable. Lukaku seems like he may be on his way. Interesting summer ahead.

redarmy he plays as much on the right as he does on the left.

Park. Lukaku must be kept, we cannot afford to make too many changes in one window.
We never know if a new player can settle in immediately.

Hi Ed,

Please could give us a bit more detail about central midfield targets? We know Pogba has his head elsewhere, Herrera looks as good as gone and Mata most probably too.

You've also mentioned that holding midfield isn't a priority either.

That leaves us with Matic, McTominay, Fred and Andreas which doesn't give much confidence.

Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Ivan Rakitic (CM) some discussions with another side have resulted in a tentative agreement for him to move elsewere
Rodrigo Hernandez (CM) I suspect he will go to Manchester City instead of Saul who they consider too expensive
Saul Niguez (CM) - If Pogba is to be replaced, a potentially expensive option that Manchester City have stepped back from.

They will keep an open mind.}

Please let it be Saul. 🤞.

Thanks very much. Saúl would be great business.

Better call Saul.

Rodrigo would be an ideal carrick replacement. However it is Far too sensible a move for the club to consider and execute i am afraid.

I'd also look at Bruno Fernandes.

{Ed002's Note - He has been, but the question was about CM players.}

Ole did his job at the start by bringing joy back to the players and the fans. In the last 4 games however reality has hit in. Trying to play progressive pressing football with Smalling playing out from the back and a squad that's used to playing a low intensity low block has hit in. The most important issue when Mourinho was sacked hasn't been resolved and we will keep coming back to this damning reality if it is not sorted.

The recruitment of a Director of Football. When Ole was made caretaker I was happy enough with that but I was ecstatic to see that a Director of Football would be installed. To take the running of the football team off Ed Woodward could finally see our team challenging for real honours again. It hasn't happened.

If it doesn't happen soon we will keep coming back to this place of wanting more and receiving Jones, Smalling and Young. We could get lucky and win the Champions League or scrap into the top 4 but until the appointment happens we won't be anywhere near Man City or Liverpool.

Another thing to keep in mind is our players have not been conditioned to play high press attacking football. We saw it when Ole joined, we could keep the tempo up for about an hour and then recoil. And since we kept doing it with games coming thick and fast, even the 60 minutes became a problem, the exhaustion started to tell on the layers especially since some key injuries hit us.
With a proper preseason and smart buys, Ole's Utd. will start to reflect his actual team and not an inherited team which he is patching to the best of his abilities.
I do believe a DoF will be appointed and I hope that move will benefit us immensely.

For sure that is the ideal. That a Director of Football comes in and sorts the squad to the way Ole wants to play. However there is just over a month left in the season and still no sign of a Director of Football. Most deals are getting done now and not in the summer. If a Director of Football doesn't come in ASAP and at least try to shape the squad the way Ole wants we are going to be left with a Superstar Ed fancies to improve the commercial end and Smalling trying to control and pass the ball. History will repeat itself if it doesn't change.

{Ed002's Note - I have explained about the Director of Football already.}

Y'all getting too hung up on a director of football. Expecting someone to come in and wave a magic wand. Ain't happening. Never expected to happen this season. We couldn't get it done in 3 years so no chance in 6 months.

Well then let's keep our hopes low and expect much of the same from the last 6 years.
