Lloris is a terrific shot stopper, but I agree completely about him being poor with crosses. De Gea is very young to risk as your no.1 though he is talented. Stekelenburg would cost a lot less and seems to have the nod from VDS. Ryan.

*5-10 years ago I wouldve wholeheartedly agreed. However In a day and age where players are breaking into the first team of Premier League clubs and International level at the age of 18-21 I believe De Gea would do just fine aslong as he has a good team and goalkeeping coach around him. Stekelenburg would be a very reliable option however.

In premier league we may just steal the title with current midfield players but in europe I think barca stands between us and our 4th CL title.our midfield are no match for barca midfield , that is a fact.we are on par with them or even better on other departments but they will totally out play us technically if we did not strenghten our midfield

To win double this season there are two possibilities

1. expect other teams to slip up in PL + barca beaten by any some other team in CL
2. strengthen our midfield and win ourselves

we always do it ourselves!

considering these options SAF will bring these players in jan

marin
ganso(for future)

My dear frend. .Marin is out of questin as he is already cup tied since ur laying more significance on CL.
Defour. I m doubtful about his arrival too. with an interest being dropped.
Look there are lot of players for midfield options for Sir Alex to choose in the market among these players. n hes takin his time n will splash in d summer. .n i think its right.

The only sure possibility is of Sanchez seeing n considering the circumstances for the summer

*I have to disagree with the original poster about Lloris. I think he is massively error prone. His judgement isn't good at all and is very poor when coming for crosses. I think that would especially be the case in the Premier League. Not good enough to warrant a fee of any more than £12million IMO. Neuer is similar. If we are to spend big on a keeper then I believe De Gea is the only option.

its funny, that's how rumours spread. ngiak thinks it was some tabloid that spread a rumour that the qatari rich-men will buy an english club.
and more spice was added by naming 3 clubs. none of them man united
suddenly someone here linked the rumours and man united in the same sentence
and wa-lah. .
there you have a "qatari businessmen to buy man united" rumour.
with the spice being the other huge unfounded rumour over here about some 100 million warchest.

anyway, just to deflate the bubble a little, de gea is NOT coming confirmed, ochoa is at fulham, neuer, lloris and stekelenberg are all staying put, schweinsteiger is staying put, kakuta is staying put, and defour is not being chased at the moment.

Where is this Ravel Morrison stuff coming from. Does anybody have any genuine info or is all just ifs, buts and maybes? The getting caught in the car thing was a year and a half ago wasn't it? I'm sure the Mirror ran a story on it. If he's been playing for us with that hanging over him before why would it suddenly change things now?

I have never posted before but am an avid reader of all united stories, I was told yesterday by a close friend of Ryan Shawcross that he has been to Old Trafford to discuss a move, it is not certain as he is concerned about the number of first team chances he will get, but 90% it will happen

Humberto Suazo is 29 Real Zaragoza didn't sign when he was on loan to them last season. The 10 million being quoted isn't too bad but he has played nearly his whole career in Chile or Mexico and a year in Spain. He goal scoring record is very good but its not at a high enough level

Surely Benzema, Sanchez, Suarez would be better .

Looks like Ravell Morrison could well and truly have ruined his football career. We will wait and see

I though Lloris would cost around 25mil not much more than de gea {ed's note - that is if they agree to sell, his value is around the same but there is not the need to sell unlike in Spain. Every team in Spain is desperate to sell players as their economy is on the verge of collapse. I would have thought the Ajax keeper would be the likeliest target myself though, Jol left because he was told top players were going in the summer out of necessity.}
