Are City stupid? £34m on Fernandinho and £22m on Navas? Ridiculous amounts.

Sydney!

No syd.
They are wounded. Will do everything to clinch title next season. and everyrhing means paying hell as well

2.) 05 Jun 2013
I Don't even remember when city are not stupid or not spending rediculous amounts in transfers.

3.) 05 Jun 2013
Ridiculous values - absolutely shocking really.

Garry Barry to make way for Fernandinho, by joining Brendan Rodger's Liverpool possibly? I wouldn't be able to contain my laughter if that actually became the case!

4.) 05 Jun 2013
Desperation signings for sure.

5.) 05 Jun 2013
Will they still be after Isco though?

6.) 05 Jun 2013
Why is 22m on navas a lot? The likes of rodriguez and gaitan & many others are usually touted at 30m+.
34m on fernandinho is a foolish amount.

7.) 05 Jun 2013
Yes, yes they are.

8.) 05 Jun 2013
It's a drop in the ocean for them Syd but I agree it's ridiculious the amounts of money they are just throwing at players.

I was stunned when I first heard that, I assumed that must have been his cost including wages. But apparently that's just his fee. that's crazy money. Good player though.

As for Navas it will be interesting to see how he copes long term from being so far from home. He could have a break down and need to go back home by january, I wouldn't like Citys chances of getting much of their 22m back if that was the case.

10.) 05 Jun 2013
The answer to your question is yes.

11.) 05 Jun 2013
Dont know whether they are stupid or not but one thing I can assure you Syd that Navas is a class act. If you thought Valencia at his best was pretty good then you have to see Navas play. He'll terrorize the left backs in the PL and one certain Mr. Evra will be ripped to shreds by him. Hope we sign a good LB. Navas and Dani Alves together at Sevilla were one great pairing at the right. Hope Zabaleta and Navas aren't that good.
The only problem can be that he might get homesick and may want to return.
As for Fernandinho 34m seem too much but they might have seen something to splash that much cash on him.

12.) 05 Jun 2013
Rumuors are that evra has signed for a$ monaco

13.) 05 Jun 2013
Simmo, can you imagine their salaries and signing on fees? Imagine the agents fees on top of that too. Crazy money for them players.

Navas' fee could rise to £24m. This is a player who is 28 this year. City were the only bidders and Sevilla were desperate for cash. The player has struggled with homesickness and panic attacks since he was a child. What plonker is conducting these deal?

Sydney!

14.) 05 Jun 2013
I don't know who is conducting the deals but he gets a big thumbs up from me :)

15.) 05 Jun 2013
Navas was amazing last year
37 starts in the league and 6 asssists with 80shots but not a single goal (Thats worst than downings one in the league for Liverpool) Might even be a European record for most shots without a goal
And in 46starts for Sevilla last season in all comps he managed 1 goal and 6assists
An out of form Valencia managed the exact same goals and assists in all comps last season but he only took 29starts with some of them at RB

16.) 05 Jun 2013
They are millionairs but still they are not better than united

17.) 05 Jun 2013
Yes they are!

18.) 05 Jun 2013
Yes navas is quality but he gets homesick on international duty so imo its a big risk at £22m and the fee for fernandinho is ridiculous.
The fees are nothing for them but I can think of many better ways to blow £50m but navas and fernandinho ain't two of them

BABY FACED ASSASIN

19.) 06 Jun 2013
If anyone on here could use common sense you would be able to figure out that the 34 mill quoted is nonsense and ridiculous. Why in the hell will Manchester city pay 10
Mil more than Yaya Toure for this guy? Haha. Keep your red-tinted glasses on. And by the way Nava cost 17mil rising to 22million based on performances.

20.) 06 Jun 2013
I think a few people commenting here will be eating there words regarding Navas by January. As a previous poster commented, the guy is a very good player, no name, you judge him by your opta stats, you obviously didn't see any La Liga games he played in. And in todays marker £20m odd isn't really that ridiculous. Fernandhino, though also a good player is a crazy fee mind you. He may be 28 Syd but so was RVP, not comparing them as players, but if you can sign a totally different player to what you have that coudl make a big difference and funds are not a problem, why is this such a ridiculous signing? (and let's not babble on about home sickness until it proves to be a case this season)
