Ed002 says on the liverpool site we may put cash on the table for enzo fernandez there's been quite a few reports today that he could leave in January and a couple of these saying bids have veen placed. probably more of a fit for us atm the gakpo, i'd say we are short a rb, cm, and striker/ forward i'd hope we could get 1 or 2 or these in January.

We could of had him for 15-30 mil last year.

We didnt, pointless to worry about that. I would imagine this kind of transfer at this kind of value atm based on what we read about the club and finances will be factored into any sale price for the club, so the glazers may have to invest by losing sale equity.

I know, it’s not my money at the end of the day. But it is frustrating that we don’t pick these players up earlier imo.

Agreed but this one might actually cost the glazers a bit of cash before/ as they go so let's not worry to much about it this time.

So far seen Real, Newcastle, Chelsea, United and Liverpool being linked to paying the release clause. Seen the guy play in the World Cup a few times. Haven't watched him in the few months he was at Benfica. Played 14 games for Benfica, 67 first team games since his debut in 2019 and 10 internationals.

Kid must be really highly regarded, with all the noise that's developed around him.

I think he's the new generation Veratti, Xavi, Scholes type player. If we get him then I think midfield is complete. Hopefully we just put the money on the table and as Ed has said, the player has a preference of coming to us.
