There is no way we are getting fabregas. I won't allow myself to fall into the mental trap of optimism when it comes to united and transfers. In this case you can pick your reason. 1)the player doesn't want to leave 2)the club just sold thiago 3)united would have to pay huge money to tempt barca. Cesc is the dream fit for the open cm role, as he can get forward much better than carrick, but were never going to sign him and we still need another attacking player that would be our marquee signing. I hope we don't sign Fellaini. You think he makes it into the barca/bayern/Madrid sides? So I suggest you join me and proactively avoid the inevitable disappointment. And maybe something odd happens and we get pleasantly surprised. (Ahem, cesc and Ronaldo, cough cough turnaround spit twice)-KG

For those persistent optimists, a website is reporting that Barca would want the bid raised from 25mil to 35mil (believe what you will). If someone from Barcelona actually says over the phone that they would accept 35mil, I would fly a plane of cash to barcelona right now. Wouldn't even take the time to land the plane, just drop it in bundles as we pass over the Nou Camp.

United Press make a big deal about going for Cesc Fab, only for Barca to deny or reject Bid out of hand.

DM then goes and buys Marouane Fellaini, as the only other option out there.

Tito has come out and said fabregas does not want to leave barca.
Fellaini it is then!
