So it's looking more likely that Rooney is leaving and I'm all for that to be honest but one thing does worry me!.

Although we don't need a like for like replacement I do think we need another striker who is going to get 15-20 goals a season, if rvp gets injured our attack wouldn't be strong enough with just Hernandez and welbeck.

With that in mind who would you like united to go for?

higuain could be one option if he doesn't end up at arsenal but apart from that who else is there?

We tend to play with one striker, so three out and out strikers should be enough. If we signed someone like Higuain would him and Hernandez be happy being second and third choice behind RvP?

We also have players like Zaha, Januzaj, Will Keane and Henriquez who are coming though and can play as strikers if needed.

The key is to replace Rooney with someone who can bring the team goals from midfield thus making us less reliant on our strikers for goals. This coupled with us shoring up our defence and midfield should mean we need less goals in the first place.

Very good reply shappy, Chicharito will easily get us 20+ goals

Shappy I see what you mean, there is a worry though as look how poor our wingers were last season the fact that evra scored more than any of our wingers is a cause for concern.

If Rooney goes I believe another striker and a scoring midfielder is required somebody like kroos.

Benteke for me could be a good addition doesn't look like a one season wonder and is likely to get you goals also adds a different dimension to our attack.

Im choosing not get sucked in to " he's definitely signing" talk but do think we are in for an interesting summer.

Shappy, I do worry about our options if Rooney goes and he isn't replaced and think we need to strengthen Midfield and up front.

You refer to Zaha (untested in the PL and Raw), Januzaj (talented but RAW), Will Keane (has he recovered from injury) and Henriquez (could only get an occasional game at Wigan)

Add that to Welbeck, who whilst talented is and always has struggled in from of goal which would leave RVP and Chico.

Love to see the young ones coming through, but this is a really significant season we face with City, Chelsea, Arsenal and Spurs will all be stronger as they sense United could be weaker following SAF leaving.
