Where is all this 'Willian to Chelsea' stuff come from? I've not seen anywhere that they are in talks with him - I thought he was having a medical at Spurs in the coming days. I cannot see Chelsea giving us Mata as part of the Rooney deal, that would be a far better deal for us than it is for them! Ozil, Fellaini and Baines seem to be our targets now.

I agree we would be getting a better player than Rooney in Mata, but that said I think we would need to compliment Mata with a player of similar technical ability and thought such as an Ozil / cesc. Nobody wants Rooney as he is not a model pro / poor fitness / temperament / application he is not very marketable and he is not world class

I'd be very happy with Baines, Ozil and Fellaini. We'd be assessing all areas that are weak, maybe not the best players to do so. But still, better than nothing.

Ken, United and Nike sell loads of Rooney shirts every year. Two years ago, Rooney and Torres was the marketing dream in the Premier League. At the moment, Bale, Rooney and Van Persie are some of the most marketable.
