If we signed Ozil and Fellaini how would we fit them into a starting line up. I think Cleverly would make way because as good as he is he isn't good enough. He is "Safe" in the same way that Carrick is, but can we play with two players in that mould. So do we play Fellaini and Carrick and Ozil on the left? But then what of Kagawa.
I think we need to offload Valencia. I think there is a mixed reaction to him at the moment. He has lost that confidence, that drive to beat his man and whip in crosses. Ashley Young did it in the 10 mins he was on last night.
I think last night was crying out for Kagawa or Zaha. Someone to do something slightly "exciting" or different.

Carrick is the best midfielder in the league although I really like the look of Spurs new guy Paulinho.

It's a squad game mate, we would need all of the players mentioned, not just a first 11.

Yes I totally agree, but all summer people have been asking for signings. We are looking at Cesc for £35m, Ozil for the same. Would you say they were squad players? No they are 1st teamers. So someone has to drop down. i'd say Cleverley. Yes he played well last night but he is so conservative and riskless. It suited last night, but when we need that bit of creativity where does it come from? Giggs. Carrick. Anderson. Exaclty. None of them have it.
