Just so everyone is clear, the reason for Madrid delaying on their Bale bid is because Levy won't accept their offer until they have paid for Modric.

No it's not. An agreement was made at the time of the Modric transfer in which Real Madrid paid the money over a set period of time. That agreement still stands.

The delay was initially down to Spurs wanting the majority of the Bale money upfront whilst Madrid were hoping to pay it over the course of a few years. From what I hear this has now been resolved - but Spurs are hoping to wrap up the signing of Lamela before Bale leaves.

Redseven Trust me that's the reason. Spurs won't accept to be paid over a period of time for bale and modric. Modric debt has to be cleared first. Not one to brag but I probably know a lot more than you and what goes on behind the scenes. Just like I can confirm United did bid for bale 1 hour before kick off and the bid was made to force madrids hand so that other targets could become available. Also uniteds plan all along has been to keep rooney even if a bid was placed by madrid or barca he won't be sold. Not willing to say much more but if you want will speak to you over email and explain why I know so much.

Lamela deal is done. They will anounce it tomm probably. I think the delay is due to other reasons.
