Ok ok, I was over the moon last night and couldn't be happier today, I was filled with pride and so glad to see the players actually playing for the shirt (except fellaini)

One question though, everyone is congratulating moyes for getting his tactics spot on, and don't get me wrong, he did, BUT Moyes's tactics have always been to defend first then counter, at everton and this season, so surely its luck they worked tonight?

Not gunna bring anyone down as i'm sure we are all excited for next week, just something to mull over.

Moyes is much more comfortable facing superior teams, you're absolutely correct. He first instinct is to defend, he's going to have to adapt to being the favorite in many games or he will be gone next year

I would say his tactics were different in one crucial way - last night, he put a huge focus on pace.

When he's tried to defend and counter this season, we've all been unhappy at how slow the team is in attack, and how the players seem to lack urgency. Last night, it was clear that players like Welbeck and Valencia had been told to run at the Bayern defence as soon as they had the ball, which caused a lot of problems.

I don't believe Moyes is the right man for the job - partly because if he really wanted to counter attack with pace on a regular basis, spending so much on a very slow player like Fellaini (and to a certain extent Mata) wasn't very smart - but it makes you wonder what the result last night would've been if we'd had players like Tevez and Ronaldo back. In that system, those players would've really given Pep a headache.

I think if you have top players though, it'll almost take care of itself. It's not like decent players go out there being told to defend, defend, defend then all of a sudden lose any kind of instinct or skill going forward.
