Who would be everyone's top 3 choices for CB's brought in this summer? Mine in this order would be; Hummels, Mangala, Badstubber. Can't see Hummels leaving for anyone bar barca, Mangala will cost an arm and a leg so I wouldn't mind ending up with Badstuber, could probably get him for 10-15 too

Badstuber hasn't played for over a year, he had a cruciate ligament injury. Unlikely to move as Bayern have told him he is still wanted.

I would like Garay and Mangala as its likely we will need 2

Benatia, Garay, Schar in that order.

I'm not convinced by Hummels, he seems to make too many mistakes, but he is a class footballer, but unreliable defender. My top three choices would be Benatia, Garay, or Mangala. I haven't seen much of Schar or Ginter, what do people think of them?

Schar is a superb passer of the ball who has excellent positional sense and good pace. The only potential weakness I've seen in his game is sometimes I'd like him to be stronger in the challenge, he occasionally gets brushed off the ball a bit too easily. But if you look at the way we have worked on increasing players core strength such as Valencia then he would be an amazing player for us.

Mangala is an excellent prospect but no one took the gamble on him until Porto swooped. How often have we allowed another club to come in and swoop for a top quality young player but a player who could be a gamble only to have to go back and sign the same player for much much more money. We could have signed Mangala for 3/4m when he signed for Porto, but now he would cost us more like 30m. We didn't push hard enough for Alexis Sanchez when he went to Italy, but he too would cost us in excess of 25m.

I think Schar is a similar player that if we don't move for him now, then he could cost us a fortune in a few years time.

I like Mangala but I think we need more of a passer as we have Jones who will be a beast and Smalling who isn't the best with the ball at his feet.

Thats why if we aren't going for experience with someone such as Benatia or Garay then Schar would be my next choice.

Plus I'd like to see a Swiss revolution at the club with Fabian Schar, Ricardo Rodriguez and Granit Xhaka joining the club in the summer.
