I've been sitting outside MUR and visiting most days to see what the groundswell is on the inside. At the risk of getting flamed here's my two pennorth.
You've noticed the dailies and ragblogs have nothing concrete to say.
Nothing.
It's all clickbait headlines to get us accessing that page to earn them more advertising money. Sling up anything, as long as the punter clicks the link. hence the clever headlines put up at two in the morning talking about 'prolific striker in talks - deal imminent' takes you to a page full of RVP and Turkey rumour, with the best of them this last fortnight being 'Morgan finally chooses Man Utd destination' linking to a piece about Willie Morgans transfer in. 1968.
Why can't the blogsters sit back and look at the real scenery?
Sign Harry Kane? Why? James Wilson could run him off the park. but with RVP around, he's sitting out on the car park for 90 minutes every saturday.
Kane got his chance to shine because THotsp had the tripes to play him and he stepped up.
Ings got his chance and stepped up.
We have Adnan J. another huge huge talent sidelined at the moment as he can't get a game because of the ego's (and monster wages) of those currently standing in his way
LVG has made his name everywhere he has been by bringing on his younger players, who then go on to show him utter loyalty and 100% effort every time they pull on the shirt because he was the one that gave them their big chance.
Like he did with half the players now being linked to the Reds.
RVP gone, Nani gone, Little P hinted at (please say it ain't so Louis - he could reach Ole hero status).
perhaps there's method here, a real long term plan being put in place.
And today's belter - £99m for Bale?
Two sneaky inside the mouth scrapes, and we could go to South Korea and clone Denis Law and Christiano for that .
It's time to bite on the clothes peg, wait a bit longer and see what the guy who's pretending to be David Gill pulls off for us.
Fingers crossed the yoof step up over the water, batter their way in, and give us a team that will put greed to one side, fight for their chance to wear the shirt, and once they are in it, play their tripes out for us, week in and week out.
That's all we ask isn't it? For all that money?
Sorry to have banged on. I'll get my fireproofed coat and wait for the incoming!
