Delighted to get the 3 points today.

I Was impressed with smalling and romero today. Also herrera should be a shoe in for the starting eleven plus I am not sure about memphis playing centrally aswell as blind playing CB.

Rooney looked very slow today but I hope he improves once He gets into his stride

This is how Rooney performed throughout pre-season and the end of last season. Typical Rooney performance for me - 5/6 out of 10. Young and Mata offered very little today as well.

Defence looked good on the whole. Attacking is where our problems are, as it was last season. We don't create, have players out of position and have too few numbers attacking when we do break. Boring performances are what we are going to have to get used to.

Everything is always negative with you. Young had a decent game he worked very very hard down the left.

It was the first game of the season against arguably one of the teams that are supposedly going to be challenging for the top 4-6 spots.

If we can play like that and bar a 5 minute spell look very comfortable after 3-4 warm up games it won't be long before we hit top gear.

Also as a side note I thought all the debutaunts done very well.
Schweinsteiger was like a conductor when he came telling everyone where to pass the ball. Looks a real leader

I think there's a couple of signings still to come.

Currently I don't feel we have enough upfront but I don't think we are a million miles away.

The correct formation and the best players used in their best positions along with a player or two then we should have a very good season.

Nice to see swansea have a real good go of chelsea today and I thought they battered them
