@Constantine

Would just like to make a few points regarding your post supportive of LVG staying.

1. The midfield you talk about is almost entirely of players bought by LVG. Herrera, Schneiderlin, Blind and Schweinsteiger were all LVG signings. The first two have been decent at best and the latter have been complete failures in midfield.

He talks about wanting creative quick players, has he been sleeping for the last 4 windows? What was Di Maria? What is Martial? What is Rashford?

2. He has failed to find a solution at Center back after 4 transfer windows.

3. He was the one who pushed for Memphis Depay who we were going to rely on this season (he is the only real winger worth of note in the squad) . The signing has been a poor one and Memphis imo lacks the pace and acceleration to succeed as a winger in the EPL. His close control isn't good either.

On the other hand players like Martial who he wasnt going to rely on and ease in (his words, not mine) have had to shoulder the majority of the burden. Rashford wasn't even in the plans at the start of the season. An extraordinary sequence of events has led to him being in the team.

4. His planning has been downright atrocious. Both the seasons he has started with a certain vision, spent the entire summer buying players for that, the entire pre season focussing on that and then when its clear it doesn't work in the season he ditches it and we are back to game by game crisis management.

The 3 at the back formation and the way we clearly bought players for it and then immediately abandoned it is an excellent example. It completely hamstrung us last season and his tactics are doing the same to us this year.

5. There is no set plan to attack. Literally none. His philosophy is one of keeping possession at the cost of creativity and knicking a goal somehow.

6. He constantly complicates a simple game, plays players out of position and we suffer for it. His obsession with positional discipline means little to no movement which is why we struggle to break defenses down.

Just look at why he was let go in unceremonious fashion by Bayern and Barcelona. This is the born with him, not the exception.

7. When we win, its rarely because of his tactics but rather inspite of them. He is also known to be a poor man manager.

8. He made the terrible decision of relying on a Wayne Rooney who is clearly finished as a striker because of his lack of pace and acceleration to score the majority of goals. Its a failure in planning by the manager.

9. This is very much HIS team now. His signings have been poor. Only Martial has worked out well.

10. Next year, knowing that he will be gone, how do you expect him to be able to motivate the players? Will the players play for him? Look what happened at City with the Pep announcement.

Also do you expect top players to join us, knowing that the manager will change in a year and they may not be part of his plans?

If you want to see how a manager completely resets a team, look at Spurs, look at Southampton with Koeman, look at Ranieri. Even west ham. We are struggling with West Ham to get 4th place mate, with Leicester and a team for whom the team talk in our dressing room literally used to be "lads, its spurs! " above us. Get real. He has done a terrible job and the football is awful to watch.

Lets support him and let him manage in peace till the end of this season. Hope he gets 4th and the FA cup. And then, we can let him go on a high and say "Louis, enjoy your wine and a mince pie. Goodbye! ".

Tell me a midfield General who would be easy to get. Or a top quality cb. Or a thirty a season striker. We complain constantly about certain players yet expect them to walk away with the league. Poor man manager? I've seen countless interviews with former players who beg to differ. This is a team for the future that still needs additions. And everyone in the club will know it full well. Di Maria played good at times. But the guys a flake. Don't think depay was bought intended to win us the treble this year. How can you guys not see it? New partnerships are rarely an instant. The injuries in defence have been crazy. Any team would struggle. Bad planning is your view. Any project is constant failing an adjustments, till the ingredients sit right. Ranieri inherited pearsons team, Tottenham took a while to settle down after bale and Southampton though they lost good players, still had the frame work that just need to be added to. Which is exactly my point. We are in the stages to building that framework to be added too. No argument is going to make me think otherwise.

Top post. After two seasons and hundreds of millions we have a LVG team playing in a LVG style, and the only person who seems happy with this is the man himself. I still can't believe that people think it will suddenly all fall into place with LVG, and we'll become a top class side with a few more signings. The truth is that this is how LVG wants the team to play, just listen to the man. He was delighted with the Norwich performance because we took our chance and suffocated the game by keeping possession.

Redfaith apologies bro. You had many points and would like to give more to it. Hoping to come back fully soon. Just wanted to lay my thoughts and come back to it. Been a little not to well last few years. Mostly tirednesses is stopping me being active here. Starting to recover. hopefully soon. l. v. g could well be the whole reason for all that is wrong but I'm not so sure.
