So a comment from Jamesmac down the page got me thinking. He states that Gary Nev was not world class. Now I hate the whole world class, top class etc debate. But got me thinking, who in world football was a better right back than Gary during his time at the top?

I could only come up with Cafu (who couldn't defend),

Maldini, lizarazu, Cafu and to some extent Ashley Cole were what I would call world class. Nev was just below that I feel.

Liverpool fan and only been watching football for the last 10 or so years. and TBH can't remember a RB better then Neville. Absolutely hated him but was a top player.

Think Gary Neville was as at his best in his latter years of his career, when he also became captain.
He was a solid RB in a worldclass team, and he has won almost everything.
