Gary Neville can't stop talking about how poor Liverpool were and crowd not there blah blah but can't get his head around the idea maybe it was something to do with United taking the crowd out of it and also making them look average.

Seen plenty of United games and been to a couple during Nevilles era where we were rubbish even with much better players and got our head handed to us at anfield.

These ex players turned pundits can never just shut up. when we win the other team was poor aka chelsea, when we lose the other team was brilliant and we were poor and when we draw at anfield the other team was poor.

Yorkie was great on bein sports said it. brilliant point and job done.

Good news is we get a week off and hopefully start getting some players back. we have liverpool, arsenal, newcastle spurs at home in the second half of the season.

Being out of europe is a blessing imo.

In all fairness, although I do I agree with your sentiment, I think Nev is having a good old side swipe at Liverpool and the atmosphere, which they pride themselves on.

I don’t think for one minute he is taking anything away from a good result under the current circumstances of player availability etc.

But as you rightly say, the majority are in fact loving the hurt we are going through.

Apart from the suspended Bruno and Licha, who are you expecting back that will make a huge difference?

Our biggest problem is up front, we cannot score goals, 18 in the league so far, only 5 teams have scored less and they are fighting relegation battles.

Cas and mount are very good players. I am not in the club to write off cas after a injury hit season and stop start and a few games. People are fickle and a bit clueless imo if you think cas is suddenly a bad player. captains Brazil.

Mount same thing. just to be able to have an opportunity to select players of high quality makes a big difference imo. Ericson whilst not the most mobile player is also a important player for us and best IQ on the pitch.

Every game is different in the Pl some teams come out and some sit in and you need quality players and a semi healthy squad to make adjustments based on the opposition. Having 9/ 10 out makes it hard for the manager to influence things when things are not going as planned given the starting 11 picks itself as there are few options atm.

I have said this before and still hold the same view, post winter break and assuming we get a lot of the players back we will go on a major run of wins and will get a lot of people to shut up.

People will still complain about this and that not being right but that's part of being united.

I think the next 2 games are massive for us. two wins and get into the break and it will set up for an interesting second half of season. Win ugly if we have to but win.

Whether he was having a go at their crowd or not, not once did he give the team credit or some credit about tactical set up and getting the job done. We might look back in a few months and realize this was the game that steadied the ship and critical to our season.

He demeans every result by united by saying the other team played bad. Everton should have 2 in the first have blah blah. We have the highest missed chances based on xg in the league, if you want to go by stats and one can make the same argument of what if's we had done this or that imagine where we would be in points. its meaningless stuff.


You are right I personally think he talks so much sh. t now and has become a bit of commercial twit and more interested about his image and brand. At least Keano says it like it is.

I really do not get the constant putting ourselves down and being critical of ourselves. We should celebrate limping into anfield and Liverpool's first dropped points at anfield and first time in ages not scoring.

They went to city had possession in the 30's and parked the bus and looked to do exactly what we did yesterday and play on the counter. No one says oh city were poor but how well Liverpool have done getting a point there.

I don't even come on to the live chat anymore but late in games as its almost looks like people are disappointed we did not lose and have to hold their fire until the next bad result.

Neville was very frustrating yesterday, about 20 seconds after he said that “no team in the last 30 years should go to Anfield and pass out from the back” we played it perfectly through their press and got away on the break and he didn’t say a word about it.

I’m not sure if he wanted us to play long ball all game or just keep giving the ball away higher up the pitch but I actually thought when we played it out well from the back it worked, some of our players aren’t great at it but actually as a tactic it was the only times we got away from them, but Neville never mentioned that, very odd.
