Reports now suggesting RM have upped their valuation on Di Maria to £75m and MU are furious. Is this genuine or just mischief making by anti-United media?

Do u reckon this is just Madrid trying to get rid of Sami khedera at the same time cause he's been told he needs out too?

I said from the start that we'd sign Di Maria out of desperation and I wouldn't be surprised if RM use that desperation to squeeze a little more money out of our club. By leaking our interest through a puppet - they put Woodward in a position where he's either the failure that everybody thinks he is or he pays double what the player is worth. £75m would sign Reus (who I'd prefer to Di Maria) and Vidal. I hope we walk away from the Di Maria deal; but we won't. Fingers crossed PSG come in and give him the move he favours instead.

If I was totally honest I wouldn't sign him for this crazy money. If this reported £65 - 75 million fee is correct I can think of better players to throw it at, not to mention Real Madrid have done us over.

Don't get me wrong he would be a great addition but well over priced. Can only hope this is just Chinese whispers that's got well out of control.

Sydney I have heard it's 80 million Euro which works out at about 63 million pound. 75 million pound is too much, maybe they sensing desperation on our part

Manu2, I'm just guessing, but I think the fee COULD reach (€80m) £64m depending on potential add-ons. Dependencies on whether we win certain honours, appearances etc. I imagine the initial fee is probably (€70m) £56m. I also imagine the fee will be structured over a period of time.

We won't know for sure until it's on the UEFA database which the editor has access to, but there will be many people guessing like we are now :)
